Topic: Serious Discussion / Why democracy?
I don’t think I would ever try to persuade someone that my way of life is “better”.

Topic: Serious Discussion / Wikipedia I am friends with a Wiki Admin, and he says that most of Wikipedia is protected. Wiki bandits are still a problem, but they hardly get 1% of the articles. |

Topic: Serious Discussion / Let's Discuss James Madison If you don’t know much about James Madison, read the Wikipedia article on him first, or do some other research. My personal opinion on James Madison is that he was the worst president in US history. He wasn’t a bad person though, nobody is (only our choices are bad). But, he made lots an lots of bad choices. James Madison attacked Canada because they were enjoying the English Empire’s lower taxes and better trade, started a war, got the capitol burned down, and almost lost our country. |

Topic: Serious Discussion / YOUR religion? Just plain old Atheist. There’s not much to discuss, I just live my life the same way a Christian does, except I don’t believe in God or go to church. |

Topic: Serious Discussion / Reversing the sides, religion I’m an Atheist, and I never try to convince people that I’m right. If someone wants to believe in God, let them do it. Its not hurting me. |

Topic: Serious Discussion / Cannibals I mean in normal circumstances. If there is a normal amount of food, good territory, and no impending doom, animals do not harm their own species. |

Topic: Serious Discussion / HOW are we connected to the internet? It takes a lot of expensive equipment for what they do. The Internet isn’t some natural thing that floats around. Also, you can make your own internet. Obviously, nobody is going to be on it. But there are other variations of the internet like www2, www3, and so on. |

Topic: Serious Discussion / An Odd Question I was asked an odd question recently, and I wanted to see everyone’s opinion. You’re gonna have to read a little bit before you actually vote though, cause I want you to read the whole thing. The question was about if people invented a new way of travel. It could send you across the street, or light years away, you just choose where you wanna go. But there is a catch. It makes a copy of you at the destination, with all your memories leading up to being copied, and it has all your true emotions. The original body, kept at the start point, is then destroyed in a clean and painless manner. Before you answer the question, I must also say this. There had been no side affects shown in any tests, many people had used it successfully, and it is developed to the point at which there are no problems with it. You also might happen to know people who use it normally. Also, keep in mind that your body naturally removes and remakes almost every cell within you at some point in time, so you are never the you that existed a few years ago. My answer to it is no. I don’t know why, it just wouldn’t feel right. |
