I vote for AGM.Sarig
A true leader. Leads by example and doesn’t leave his league mates wasting silver, bugles or cards. Has stayed up at Lucifer awful hours just to support the league. Has given solid advice to anyone that needs it. Constantly looking for ways to strengthen and empower the league. Improves the game by finding new challenges for the server. All around nice guy. I’d trust my first born to him but he’d probably sell it for a bottle of plum vodka. Hey, I can’t be all complimentary =D Rock on brother! \m/

He can drink me under the table. He’s kept me sane by making me insane. He headbangs harder than me. He’s made bourbon come out of my nose on more than one occasion (ok I’m exaggerating, the other times were beer and tequila). He ups the Irons. And then there’s all the things he does in the game!

Boats has been kickin’ the naval theme forever and he’s a joy to chat with. Will boldly walk into world chat to help someone with a question then without missing a beat make a joke about me in League Chat. Always willing to help the league out in any way, shape and form and is a solid player. Although he has an alt in the dreaded Brutii family, he plays both straight and with much integrity. This guy is tops in my book!

When I was in K2, I respected a handful of Brutii and he was one of them but he scared the crap out of me. I fell over my chair after the first merge when I saw he was in Julii and was very guarded but the guy is one funny dude. Always good to see him in chats and keeps the game light and merry. He’ll probably attack me for this as my reward =Þ

Week 4 Player of the Week
I’m voting for DarthVader.
I whispered the reasons to him the other night after cuddling under the stars. Oh and he helps with legions, keeps chat active, continually convinces me about who I am with his force persuasion and most importantly does a lot more for the life of the game than a lot of people realize. Who remembers the impromptu pick a spot on the wheel and that’s where I’ll pick my roulette spin? That one act alone made me sit back in my chair and silently applaud him. Hmmm, wait a min. He never asked me to pick a damn spot! Why the hell am I voting for him? Bah, I’ve come too far and too lazy to erase.

Dying Game
Jpenn hit the head on the nail, errr… something like that. This game definitely runs in cycles. I’ve seen people rise to dominance and then quit. Rinse and repeat and you have what we have today. I’ve thought about leaving a few times myself, but it’s the enjoyment I get from chatting with the usual players that keep me coming back. The game is just something that ties us together. Probably not a good analogy if you just saw me walking out of “The Basement” but there you have it.
Now as for the inference that you need reds to keep the game going, that’s not true. You don’t even need maxed equips, they do help though. I got through Persia with 2 purple shields, both of which are well under 100 and I STILL have them! listens to the horde of RS users clamouring to attack me Point being is equipment shouldn’t decide if the game lives or dies and it doesn’t. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m still trying to get better equipment =) It’s just not that high on my to do list.
I do disagree with the Jr. High remark. Jpenn, you of all people keep pantsing me and throwing stink bombs in the hallway. And remember that time we set up a bucket of pigs blood over the prom stage? Oh, dear me. Seems I’ve gone senile again and confusing movies with real life…

Mon capitan on K2 and really helped Darkside merge smoothly with Assassin. Great strategian of the game and fun to chat with. Overall, guys like Jpenn are what makes the game for me.

Whooops I mean…
I vote for PG.Sarig
Sarig is a wealth of knowledge and is willing to share that wealth to all who are willing to learn. He encourages many of us to participate, joke around, have fun and be active but is also a calming force in the game. Many a time, the troll in me wants to run rampant through the village and the voice of Sarigman keeps me at bay =D As you can see in the post above, he can be quite the authoritarian too! Is that the word I’m looking for or was it totalitarian? I dunno, I’m not a cunning linguist.
I remember the day I logged in and saw the PG in front of his name and it made me so happy! Sarig is an awesome ambassador to this game.

New Adventure System
I understand the need and desire to stretch out the game more, but nerfing the adventure system is a bad idea. All it’s doing is frustrating players. The auto system before would stop using your exploits if you increase your stats. Now, it uses it regardless. Would be very grateful if this part of the game was at least fixed so that we’re not continuously wasting our time on it.
On a side note about espionage. I’ve stopped spending gold all together on that feature, because like Vader said, you don’t get an increase there either.
We love the rest of the innovations that have taken place in the game. It’s brought new life to (let’s be honest) a dying game. This new adventure system is really countering those measures.
That’s just my 2 silver pieces ;)
