This keeps appearing after I have updated cards.xml with the latest cards. Should I modify cards.xml or there is some other way?

I purposedly omitted multiplier, due to already omnipresent overpowering of the cards. The idea of:

That’s generally weaker than Tiamat due to protect, but it’s a great concept that’s been floating around for a while.

It was just an illustration of the idea. If I were to design a card this way, it would be:

– my number 1. A workhorse of many decks, belongs both in multicolor and Righteous. Available in Golden Packs.

– everyone should have one. Most of us do.

– a must have. Available in Golden Packs.

– another awesome card in the Gold Pack.

– still one of the most popular commanders.

– most of us use it in our fear decks for the current event.

– a duty fear card of many players, including me. Unlockable via reputation.

…and many, many more.

And in reply to your post:
I use Aegis instead of Enclave Champion .
Regarding Stormrunner – nobody uses it – there are rare situations when one can survive 3 turns on 4 hp. Even inserting two Revolutions (available in Homeworld Packs) seems a better idea.
Malgoth – my strongest disagreement sir. Elite slot is too precious for this guy to occupy. You can easily replace him with non-bloodthristy Pip of similar abilities, or if you insist on using Bloodthristy then Necrogeddon available from Homeworld packs and of the current event is the way good Sir.

Now dnaimagery be ashamed of yourself. You claim that your contest is in the spirit of Christmas, and yet you yourself participate in the tournament. And – from what I hear, you also are the one currently winning it.
Not think: how does it look like? I feel bad accusing you and I apologize for doing that. I think that your reward looks nothing but like a way of luring in free2play players to the standard tournament and abuse their weakness, while becoming richer by yourself.
Be ashamed of yourself – this is not Christmas spirit my friend. You are not trying to give – you just dangle a shiny coin before the eyes of the players, luring them into the tournament they stand no chance of winning.
If I have misunderstood your intention, then please forgive the harsh words of a fool that I often am.

This is equivalent to 30 WBs. A nice touch, but I would have to invest Approximately 75WBs (3 Sycophants) to stand a chance in the Standard.
It saddens me that standard tournaments have become Pay-2-Win a long time ago.
I do appreciate your initiative, but the sealed are all I will ever go after. However: I do wish you guys a big, balanced and a competitive tournament of 2k+ players!

I would like to share this small observation of mine with the community. I wonder what you think about that.

For me there is one process of mmo dying – always the same:
Firstly the game consists of a mixture of players: excellent, good, average etc. This is the way it should be. However, if a good player always defeats the average, and an excellent tramples them all without breaking a sweat, then the power gap is too huge – the players who are mostly defeated in the game, and thus not taking pleasure from it, start quitting.
Since the average players start quitting, the good ones tend to be more frequently matched with the excellent ones, who almost always trample them. And so the good players begin to quit as well.
Now there are only excellent, hard-core players left, and the game is practically dead, since every new gamer has only the deadly, elite players to play against, and thus the inflow of the new players stalls.

Please do not let it happen to Tyrant. Do not allow the gap in power to be too obvious. Do not allow players to buy their victories for the real-life currency. Encourage the new players to join the game and try to keep them in it. I – for one – do not know if Tyrant is already going this path. However, there may be indicators: I have not partaken in a Standard tournament for months now, being aware that I would have to invest a lot of War Bonds to stand a chance there. I also cannot imagine how much would a new player have to play the game to start winning quests and earn the cards that count in the current Conquest and Tournaments. Would it take month? Two? And how the new players should participate in the event? Especially if the last mission costs more energy than their total possible supply?

TL;DR
Tyrant may be close to its fall and I would like to know if only I think this way.

Do not make the game any more WB-dependant 10/10
Ensure inflow that fresh blood joins the game and stays in it 10/10
Make sure that any player can achieve the same goal, and the WB is only speeding the process up 10/10
Do not expand the card pool, but rather aim at improving the old cards 8/10
Allow us to contribute to the game by holding weekly card description contest – many players would like to have card descriptions like in many other TCGs 7/10
Introduce in-game surveys for planned changes 6/10

Foreword: Please do not crush me – I try to help, and present you with what I think might make thegame more interesting. I operate under an assumption that most of you are smarter than I and thus capable of pointing out, possibly numerous, mistakes I have made here.

Currently the map looks like a random chessboard of various effects. I present you with an ordered list of changes that maybecould make the game more climatic.
Phase 1. How about gruping effects into larger collections? I.e. poison clouds, clone clouds etc.
Phase 2. Maybe the closer a tile is to the center of a cloud, the more powerful effect it has and the more Cr it yields?
Phase 3. Having everything gruped, the map can undergo some visual changes. One can name a poisonous group “Black March” or “Blight”.
Appendix A: Consider the following: core of each cloud may provide its owners with different, unique kinds of tokens instead of the general ones.
Appendix B: How about making it possible for a faction to expand not only its territory, but also the effect of the tile they are invading from?

p.s. I would also looove card descriptions, not only non-climatic statistics.

I would love to see representatives of lesser, weaker factions in the consortium. The game is already very hardcore for the new players, and adjusting it too far under old gamer’s eye may result in its slow death.

Composing the same decks every day is really annoying waste of time. Like quest decks or raid decks. And buying another deck slots does not help as one card cannot be used in two decks.

3. Card Archive
Players should have possibility to tag/untag any card in their collection as archived. Then we need two additional filters: “Do not show archived cards” and “Show only archived cards”. The first one should be picked as default.
The only use of 90% cards in tyrant is to annoy you when you are composing decks.

4. 100 energy raid battles
Like MegaXeno mission. Self exolanatory i think.
I do not know how much effort would it take to implement. But please at least assess if it is doable in a reasonable time. Clicking kills games

TL;DR: idea: Reward the head of a faction (any maybe some officers) with something more, like warbonds or unique tokens, unavailable to the rest of a faction. Make it the way that this reward tokens can be spent constantly, not that you can buy aa set of cards for them, then cease the leadership.
Also; remove the level caps.

The long version:

1. Developers want the map to be shifting and changing, however, a faction is rewarded for sitting on tiles, keeping the map unchanged.
Dewelopers: You reward players for stagnant play and expect them to do otherwise?

2. Artificial, unnatural limitations always lead to ridiculous outcomes. Examples: level caps or the suggested tile number cap are pointless, as one can always have a faction full of alts or lose wars purposedly. All the level caps have brought us is the outbreak of lv 5 factions, purposedly staying under the level cap, while consisting of the veterans of Tyrant.
Developers: Why do you gauge faction’s power on the map using their level, when you can easily tell the strong from the weak by just looking at the map?

3. It does not matter how the tiles provide the income: be it be keeping them, or by conquering them, or even making nice ornamental shapes from them – the factions will always find a way to slice the map neatly, making everyone important happy – and the rest of factions can only watch.
Developers: People of the mmo are greedy by nature – do you seriously expect the factions to willingly share the territory?

Constructive part:
The above was just pointing out the ridiculous ideas. Here is an idea for you to discuss… a dirty, dirty idea:

Reward the head of a faction (any maybe some officers) with something more, like warbonds or unique tokens, unavailable to the rest of a faction.

Will it cause the huge factions to crumble? Sure, once I know how to do conquest, I will have my own faction!
Will it cause shifting on the map? I hope so.
