Frankly, I don’t know if this HTML codes and the language specific filters are possible/easy to implement or if the Kong administrators are concerned about this situation at all…

Obviously the best is to have in each room a language specific filter, meanwhile it would be nice to have all the language filters done and uploaded.

Subsequently we could post the links here, and discuss the many points regarding each language. As I stated previously, I’m willing to do the Portuguese side of a PT-BR Filter to be.

Actually it’s the third time someone starts a thread about the same problem. I wrote a post regarding (Oct 20, 2007 9:15am) the Hover Bot Arena:Badge Problem!!. The only solution that I found was to search my last userdat.sol file in (C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects…) using the data I last played the game as a reference (go to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\M98YBWCQ\chat.kongregate.com\game_files\0000\1190\ arenaGameThing.swf) Mine was at that location, yours might be different. You have two choices 1.Delete the file and start over! Or 2. Edit the value of level 3 to level 4. That’s it!

Language filter in non-English chat rooms

When I gave the suggestion, for the Portuguese/Brazilian Language filter I thought of it as to filter out explicit, sexual oriented content and strong language. This kind of foul language is used regularly by some less inconsiderate members in the chat room Orgulho in spite of other users’ age and/or values.

To give you an example, I was thinking more in terms of what’s done already for the English Language and what can be done for its counterparts, like you can’t say F..k in a chat window, therefore you shouldn’t be able to say similarly F...-.E in Portuguese. It’s just vulgar and rude.

Though the Portuguese and the Brazilian Languages differ in some ways these are all part of our slang and can be with ease avoided with a filter. That’s all.

Notorious is spot on. There is a pressing need for at least two moderators in Orgulho room. After observing some of the Kongregate members in Orgulho’s room, the following people became visible and “better” than others. I based my judgement not only by their contribute in the forums but as well throughout their attitude towards others. I believe that they have reasonable computer skills, a fairly good understanding of the site and certainly good social skills and judgment. So I would like to submit to your consideration and review, my selection. I put forward both from Brazil Notorious and Primo_Dang. 3. Clique para ir para a direita. Clique no tronco oco por cima do rio para rastejar por dentro. Você será parado por animais/trolls coloridos (?)

4. Clique no buraco no tronco da árvore a esquerda do rio. O troll vermelho subirá para cima do buraco. Clique nele para empurrá-lo.

5. Enquanto os outros dois trolls libertam o vermelho, rasteje pelo tronco para a outra margem.

6. Clique para ir para a direita. Clique no tronco que flutua. Um monstro marinho irá aparecer de e baterá com cabeça no tronco da árvore em cima.

7. Clique nas videiras/lianas Vermelhas, Verdes e Azuis (naquela ordem) Vermelhas, Amarelas e Azuis noutra versão . Um cameleão pulará para o ramo.

8. Salte para o log que flutua e clique no lingua do cameleão para atravessar a água.

9. Clique no arbusto em cima para escolher as bagas.

10. Mova-se até rocha próxima onde a linha de pesca do gigante está na água. Clique nas bagas na sua mão para lançá-las á agua e atrair algum peixe.

12. Puxe a alavanca na máquina. Clique nas rodas dentadas que reluzem para dar um pontapé na máquina e derrubá-las. Repita- até que a ponte baixe.

13. Atravesse a ponte. Clique na carreta/carrinho para empurrá-la para cima da ponte. Atravesse a pnte novamente atá à máquina e carregue nas alavancas. de alavancas. O peso da carreta fará a ponte cair e criar escadas.

14. Atravesse, desça e suba a pista até que você veja a cabra. Volte atrás e à caverna. Clique na caverna para entrar.

15. Clique na porta para lançar a pedra/a rocha. Clique atrás na caverna e volte para seguir a pista. Volte a subir o caminho de cabras.

16. Clique no coelho para reunir-se a ele (clique o coelho para abraçá-lo). A águia reaparecerá, mas o homem da montanha a espantará. Clique nas penas para fazer asas.

3. Click to move right. Click on hollow log over river to crawl through. You will be stopped by trolls(?)

4. Click on hole in tree stump. Red troll will climb in. Click on him to push him in.

5. While the other trolls rescue him, crawl through the log to the other side.

6. Click to move right. Click on floating log. A sea monster will rise up and bump his head.

7. Pull on the Red, Green and Blue vines (in that order). A chameleon will jump onto the branch.

8. Jump onto the floating log and click on the chameleon’s tongue to get across the water.

9. Click on the bush above to pick the berries.

10. Move to the rock near where the giant’s line is in the water. Click on the berries in your hand to throw them in to attract some fish.

11. You catch a lift on the fish. Click on the mushrooms above the giant’s head to climb up.

12. Pull the lever on the machine. Click on the sparking cogs to kick the machine and knock them off. Repeat until the bridge lowers.

13. Cross bridge. Click on mine cart to push it up the bridge. Cross back over bridge and click lever. Weight of cart will make bridge fall and create steps.

14. Cross over, climb down and climb up track until you reach the goat. Climb back down and round to the cave. Click on the cave to enter.

15. Click on gate to release boulder. Click back on cave and return to track. Climb track.

16. Click on bunny to collect it (click bunny to cuddle it). The eagle will reappear, but the mountain-man will scare it off. Click on feathers to make wings.

17. Click on nest to fly home.

18. Click on bucket to pick it up, click on pump to fill bucket. Take bucket to house. The End.

Kongregate, in the beginning I thought that it was the best idea ever to be created. But this was far from reality. In fact this is a vile pile of shit and plagiarisms. The worst thing is that the creator Greg, (such an effeminate name), has won in the previous year more than one million dollars with his page, and I bet this year he will win a great deal more. The reason why? This comes as the end result of Kongregate being a cradle of the shittiest people on the net, and if I say shit I’m not referring that they are offensive or anything to that effect. But shittiest in the sense that you cannot be speaking a second quietly without hearing a moderator telling you to stop trolling or else we will ban you for life. I hated this page when they started devoting themselves to censoring words that in last 10 years have stopped being offensive. The worst thing is that the Latin Moderators makeup fabrications (as in lies) to the administrators, and I’ve been a witness to that time and again. This isn’t a good place to be a Mexican as there is a great deal of discrimination from both Argentineans and Americans, this happens to such an extent that they place you has being the worst shit in the world! So, if you want to do good deeds for Mexico subscribe to Kongregate, go to the chat and begin a verbal war with whoever interjects you! Find a moderator called winnita and let her know that she’s a bitch (actually the literate translation is a female-dog)! Mexico rules bastards!

Hi Greg, I have one proposal.

After reading notorious “I’m pretty sure I’m being repetitive, but I just can’t forget the fact that foreign chats don’t have moderation at all. Lately the Brazilian chat is being raided by people of age ranging from 12(yes, TWELVE) from 15 that curse each other randomly and spam their copied messages when they get a badge” and Sinner’s “It’s really hard to have a good conversation there because almost everyone in there (not everyone) does terrible things (like spam and flood). Sometimes I choose another room to have a good chat with others. I think that those rooms need someone like Greg said and that speaks good English” analysis and criticism, I suggested to Dragily in the Portuguese/ Brazilian chat room Orgulho that I wouldn’t mind doing a list of both Portuguese and Brazilian swearing words and their respective translation into English. He told me to make a suggestion in the Forum.

Maybe an administrator could implement this coarse language list in a similar code as the one that is used in the Chat for English swear words. Tell me what you think.

By the way, I’m bilingual and can help translating English-Portuguese-English.
