I don’t see why everyone is so offended with posts like these. Its meant as a reference, if you can’t/won’t use it, don’t read it and move on. I would think the title makes the content clear. If you don’t like it, don’t post, and it’ll scroll off the frontpage a lot faster.

I found a list of failed decks to be useful, but then again, I’m no standard tournament or faction wars “expert”. Not everyone is.

Go for it. Honestly, the factions already on the map have received a massive reward in terms of conquest tokens, losing a few FP isn’t the end of the world. Fixing tileswapping will hopefully promote more dynamic conquest activity.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Vorp!] (ship design) Brilliant Gateway

Fantastic idea.

I think that the ship will have a significant presence in a match, if used properly to support your allies, but I’m not confident its powerful enough yet. I can’t help but think that it will suffer from having so little damage if it specs into its support abilities, although expunging vortex would probably help with that.

Some suggestions:

-Deployed portals should provide vision, similar to clank’s turret.
-Deployed portals are invincible and unusable for the first 5 seconds after deployment (allows for aggressive tactical portal play, also prevents accidental microjumps)
-Decrease asteroid damage, but eliminate bounce damage decay, and make asteroid lifetime scale with level. This makes it more unique and interesting, rather than a slightly alternative BFG.

While I appreciate your attempt at fixing stagnation, without your own transparency, I fail to see how you expect everyone else to lay down their held information regarding conquest alliances.

It is nice to know that there are members of the community who have developed tracking tools however. While it would be naive of me to expect them to come forth with the information while it directly benefits them, if people really dislike stagnation and want the fun of a dynamic conquest, I would encourage them to share those tools with the community, in the interest of conquest being more fun.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Vorp!] Killing turrets with everyship.

For the SS Venture, its actually essential that you slightly miss on your vorpedoes. Sure, don’t hit the wall, but let them circle a bit before they connect. Because they accumulate more damage the longer they’ve been on the field, you want to maximize hangtime of the vorpedoes before they actually connect. If done properly, you can easily take over half the health of a turret with a single volley.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Vorp!] Clank Nerf

Personally, if a nerf is “in-order”, increasing the energy cost on scatter cannon will do very little to prevent basekilling sprees.

A simple nerf would be increasing the cooldown on the turret/wall. It deals much less damage when attached, and so fewer turret placements means fewer structure kills, especially ones that are difficult to rapidly deter.

I’ll give it a shot. Stealthy Niaq isn’t particularly easy to get for me atm, but I can farm some of the cards to get it. Looks like I’ll need to join a faction as well (it is very difficult to find one as a newer player).

The banshee-based decks just crumble now post-buff, so that whole page could use a rework.

Topic: Tyrant: General Tyrant Discussion / Having a lot of trouble with mission 83 post-buff

Gun Raven, Jericho, Havoc and Obsidian were all recently buffed, and this mission is now extremely challenging (at least for me). This is almost half of the cards in the deck that were buffed significantly, and it now hits like a truck (it doesn’t help that the commander is quite dangerous).

At any rate, I’ll try to trudge through it, but I could use some advice. Any low-level cards that I can farm that might provide a reasonable solution to the new deck?

Topic: Tyrant: General Tyrant Discussion / a talk about Augment and why it shouldnt be in game

Any deck built with augment in mind will be extremely vulnerable to mimic. As it only boosts activation skills, and (likely) only boosts random units, a deck built to utilize augment will be equally vulnerable to mimic, which has the same chance of stealing the skill as augment hitting that unit.

Seems like azure reaper, shapeshifter and the likes would be very effective counters to augment-based strategies, as apart from legendary cards, most powerful active abilities have a long delay before the card becomes active. Just theory crafting though, we’ll just have to see how it feels.
