Another new update today. This time we’ve made some design changes to the game hover box. The biggest change is that you can now rate games on the game hovers. Another change is we’ve added tags to the game hovers and also removed the game descriptions on the game hovers too.

Can you post a screenshot and also let us know what OS and browser you’re seeing. This is the first we’ve heard of the issue of people seeing a super small game window. Also note, we did make some CSS changes so clearing your cache may fix the issue.

ahh ok. I inspected the element and the mini image, does seem to be missing. As for the hover issue you are seeing Btrenary, we have a fix for that and it’ll go out in our next release. It just didn’t get in before we had to deploy our changes on the servers.

@DarkRainyKnight – The M and F in the moderation section was not supposed to go away. I’ve bugged that now. As for the points with BotD, I don’t think we’ve ever had that.

We had to take some downtime this morning for our latest changes. Most of the changes relate to our backend processes so you shouldn’t notice too many changes. We did make some minor changes to the site. We will always show the rating stars now on the quicklinks bar. You won’t have to click a link for the stars to spawn and then rate the game, so it should now just be a one step process. The other change is that we won’t show ratings on game hovers for games under judgement games.

wattro, that’s a very good point. That’s why the instructions are also in the Game tab which is right next to the game itself.

The instructions are right next to the game which is even better than having to scroll below the game to find it.

A few more minor changes to the game page. Nothing too dramatic hopefully. First in the recommended games pod, we updated the look of the spotlight game. Second, there was an issue where the forum section was not loading for some games with forums and we went ahead and fixed that issue.

We have swap the below the game columns on our game pages. Now recommended games and comments will be on the left hand side and badges, updates, instructions will be on the right. This was the way it was before we switched over to the new game page design so we decide to change it back to that format.

Along with that, we made some other changes on our homepage. First the game type (i.e. unity, downloadable, etc.) icons are closer to the game tile on the homepage. Second, we fixed an issue with the mini-feed comment box close button that wasn’t working properly

123aaa789 – I couldn’t reproduce the second hover issue you are seeing. Can you tell me what browser, and OS you are using? It would also be good to know, where you’re trying to hover from (i.e. gamepage, homepage, game browser, etc.)

I’m not sure if it’s still just me, but hovering over any game tagged as a tutorial will never show the rating I’ve given (always just has the “rating for me” thing, when I go to the game it shows my rating on the page though), and occasionally some games tagged as other things (usually multiplayer is one of the others). It happens in both Firefox and Chrome (only browsers I checked).

Can you post a screenshot? Also is it for all hovers, hovers on homepage, hovers on game pages, hovers on game browser pages?

Kred Revenue is for games that have transactions. Has your Ad Revenue been updated? That’s the one you want to look at if your now selling anything in your games that requires kreds.

We’re trying another round of speeding up game loads on game pages. To help speed things up, we’re deferring the loading of some game page elements until a little later. Another thing we’ve done is changed the look of the tags on the game page. Nothing too big, we added a hover state and changed the add more tags to a button.

1024 by 768 pixels, Firefox 20.0 is the only browser out of that, IE, and Chrome that has this issue, and XP.

DPI is ‘Normal size (96 DPI)’ and turning on ClearType made everything blurry.

Edit: This really isn’t that big of a deal if this is only me, which appears to be.

I spoke with our front end engineer and he was wondering if you have tried clearing your cache. He noticed the font from your screenshot doesn’t match any of fonts we are currently using.
