With Karnos, you just need to stay healthy for the first few rounds with some nulls then it’s all downhill for him from there. I just kept lowering his STR and SPR with Gloria’s fire and water spell and Legion’s fairy dust until they both hit 0. At that point he does no damage except in his fig and aether form and will eventually run out of mp. Simply hack away until he dies at this point with an occasional heal.

If Karnos does go into either fig or aether, hit him with a spell to knock him out of it. Those 2 forms still do heavy damage.

I used Mardek, Gloria, Solaar, and Legion who were all in the mid 30s except Gloria at level 26.

Statistically, Solaar has the highest SPR, tied for 2nd in AGI, but the lowest VIT. Basically Solaar is a squishy healer but can make enemies weak to light explode. Once you get Astral Form however, it (it doesn’t have a gender) becomes a lot sturdier. Solaar also has the highest STR out of the casters.

Solaar heals the most but it’s not necessary to have it since Mardek and Gloria can heal as well and Gloria has a lot more variety. I use Solaar though since I like having a “dog” in my party.

You’ll need to have all 4 chalices from each temple though to unlock it. If you missed it, you have to start a new game. Quite a few extra stuff blocked off if you aren’t able to get into that dungeon.

Not sure where I found my first Evening Star but you can find a Mythril Ore from a chest in the Miasmal Citadel. Mythril Golems also drop them in the Miasmal Citadel with Evening Star at 30% and Mythril Ore at 5%.

Does anyone know what and where Solaar’s second skill is? I have all of them except that one.

Sometimes it seems that the recommended element corresponds to the element of the final wave. Wasn’t a major problem though since you get to pick 3 heroes and you should be picking 3 heroes of different elements.

I actually liked the teleporting back to entrance skill. Wizards already have a high range and with it maxed at 4% along with the cast speed boost, it helped me beat some harder levels.

Melee units seemed pretty gimped in this game though. With the abundance of flyers on most levels, it’s much better to stick to mages and ranged units.

Hm, I don’t remember how I beat nostalgia. I probably just beat it with a mix of skills. Decimate is your main damage dealing skill. I’m pretty sure I also had flash freeze to stun, restore to heal and cure debuffs, ice wall which works as a shield, regulate and vapor cannon to recover focus, and probably subversion just because it’s plain ole useful.

Which one is nostalgia? I’m on Zone 7 with my Hydraulic so I don’t remember which battle that was haha.

To get the Legend Achievement you have to play on Heroic and play Zones 1-5 without using any training battles. Makes the game a bit more challenging. After you get the Legend achievement you can grind all you want but most of the battles are more about figuring out the trick to beating the rest of the battles and less about how strong you are. And yes, you can beat the bomb with a Hydraulic. I just wrote a paragraph describing how to right above you, ZamZan. I did it at level 25 with the Metal Warden’s weapon since it gave a 190 something plus strength.

It’s not too hard to beat it with a Hydraulic. I haven’t tried fighting it was a cold build but the hot build works just fine. Re-spec and pump everything into strength for the quickest amount of time. Skills you need are regulate (maxed), decimate (maxed), wreck (maxed), and lasting pain (maxed). All you need on your action bar are regulate, vapor cannon, 2x decimate, 2x wreck. Start off with regulate so your focus stays maxed which affects your damage. Then just go decimate, decimate, wreck, wreck, vapor cannon/regulate. Rinse, lather, and repeat and you’ll win.
