Aya Markovic

With the detention slip tucked away in my backpack, I walk to the cafeteria to get something to eat. I knew I’d already miss out on a good chunk of my lunchtime, therefore I rush to get a salad and a sandwich. As I’m waiting in line, I send a message to my mother to let her know everything’s okay. That’s a blatant lie of course, but no need to worry her yet.

After getting my food, I sit on a table populated by some students who can’t seem to stop talking and others who seem to feel as lonely as they look. It doesn’t take long for me to start eating though as I decide to ignore everything and everyone around me for the moment being.

I try my hardest not to jump up from my chair and make a scene as David lies through his teeth to the court about the King’s murder. As I’m patiently waiting for my turn to take the stand and give my side of the story, the clown unexpectedly interrupts the hearing by bursting through the double doors. His confession or whatever they’d like to call it claims David and I are innocent. The clown is only half right, but since his testimony backs my innocence then I wasn’t going to prove him wrong. I sit in silence and decide to wait for someone else’s reaction.

I’m currently addicted to How To Get Away With Murder. I found it on Netflix and it got me hooked from the first episode. I’ve actually learned a thing or two aside from what I already knew and I’m pretty sure I could get away with murdering someone.

Aya Markovic

Both my fists clench in response to what might as well be a banshee crying adjacent to my bed. With great effort, I get out of bed once I turn off my alarm and mindlessly make my over to the kitchen to eat breakfast. Home alone and without any prior warning from my mother, I sigh once I realize I have to make myself something to eat.

About 15 minutes pass before I start getting ready to head out. I ignore the typical conservative make-up I apply on a regular basis to school and instead, decide to make a statement on my first day at Iwakuni-Kogyo. I could feign ignorance if pulled aside, so that didn’t really bother me.

The walk to school isn’t that bad, and as I approach the front steps, I wonder whether other students had the same dream I did. It could very well be someone playing a weird joke on me, but the possibility of a stranger breaking into my room in the middle of the night without my knowledge was something I didn’t even want to think about. I knew there was an explanation for this, but whether it made sense or not wasn’t really up to me to decide at the moment.

I’m standing in the courthouse barely able to comprehend what anyone’s saying, much less able to keep myself in the upright position. The light restraints that were placed on me before trial were due to the fact that I’m still on medical hold and therefore excused from whatever treatment the King’s killer, David in this case, is mandated to receive. My rival, to put it nicely, is called up first to testify. As he makes his way to the stand, I look at him with a death stare that would surely have anyone running the opposite way. But I don’t dwell on him too much. Instead, I use this time to prepare what I have to say. It would be the truth of course, minus a few details that wouldn’t help my case anyway. The fun part is trying to organize the events of that night yet again as the drunk state I was in took a good chunk of the memories I need at the moment.

What. The. Fuck.

Alright, I didn’t know he was your boss’ cat. I don’t read other people’s post unless we’re interacting for obvious reasons. Either way, I will get my cat back. #WatchYourBackYouFuckingNerd.

(Also, if the kitty has recorded the scene, and if John finds how to access the kitty’s memory, I wonder if the programmer/assassin [I think he was an assassin?] would be interested in cooperation.)

As far as anyone’s concerned, the cat’s just some stray. He’ll only listen to Mae as they formed a bond in that short amount of time. In the cat’s mind, everyone else is just trying to hurt him, so he won’t listen when called for whatever reason.

TL;DR: No one knows about kitty, and if you did, you’ll have to get through me to get to him.

Username: Xandrya

Character Birthname: Aya Markovic

Nickname: Yaya — only ever used by her grandparents

Birthdate: May 15, 1998

Gender: Female

Physical Looks: Body: A young girl of medium height (approximately 5’6) with long, jet-black straight hair and light blue eyes. Her facial features are rather unique as she’s half Japanese, half Caucasian. Aya slightly resembles a young Kristin Kreuk, and has been approached several times by various modeling agencies due to her “exotic” looks and well-endowed body.

Attractiveness: 9

Physical Accessories: Aya loves to wear silver jewelry and accessorize. She’s always wearing tons of eye shadow to get that perfect “smoky eye” look. Outside of school, she’ll wear whatever looks good on her depending on the occasion. Aya doesn’t believe in following any one specific trend, therefore she’ll almost never wear the same thing twice.

Personality: She’s straight-forward and to the point. Mature beyond her years in some aspects, but psychologically she’s as fragile as they come. Easily angered and a perfectionist, Aya doesn’t believe she should put up with anyone if they’re not worth her time. She sometimes enjoys playing emotional games with people for the hell of it, although she wouldn’t expect the same to be done to her for some reason.

The Dark Side: Aya uses her sexuality to get away with things. She has an on/off switch with her emotions which at times leads her to become very cold and hostile towards someone she loves a whole lot. She’s the occasional drug user who excuses such behavior as a coping mechanism.

Acceptance: 8

Biography: Lately, Aya’s life has been nothing but a roller coaster. Her father, a Russian man by the name of Sergei Markovic, divorced his beloved wife of ten years after he was nearly murdered by some Russian thugs in an attempt set up to look like an accident. The happy trio lived in the UK, but after that chaotic incident, Sergei decided to send his then wife and daughter back to Japan for their own personal safety. He told them it was best if he divorced and maintained some space between the two, and that’s exactly what he did.

Currently, Aya lives alone with her mom. She’s a rather intelligent girl, and often spends most of her time trying to obtain information on her father’s whereabouts and why he was targeted to begin with. Additionally, she communicates with her boyfriend back in the UK on a daily basis. The two were inseparable when they were together, but as of lately, Aya’s noticed they’ve been drifting further apart each day.

Aya aspires to be a neurosurgeon, and looks forward to starting another school year. She hopes to figure out how to reunite her family and avoid another devastating break-up.

Skills (Non-Combat): Fluent in English, Russian, and Japanese. A quick thinker in certain situations.

Skills (Combat): Knows some basic self-self-defence.

Persona: Leave blank for now please.

[Well, damn.]

Mae Arryn

Your grace, I have something to tell you. People are trying to kill you and they’ve involved me in the plot. Your grace, I was kidnapped and I knew about the attack on… Your grace, you can’t trust any of those men…

Practicing what I would say to the King wasn’t helping the least bit. Either way I looked at it, I hadn’t come clean when I should have and now I’d probably be found just as guilty as the rest of them. Who could have guessed I would be terribly right about that.

With my own eyes I watch as a weapon is placed in my hand and it’s aimed at the King, the one person I’ve sworn to protect and keep alive at all costs. Three rounds go off, but I can’t make out whether they hit him or not. I want to rush to his side to see if he’s okay, treat him as quickly as possible just in case those bullets missed any major organs, but unfortunately I’m unable to do so. Instead, I’m thrown down to the ground and pinned, and whichever man is responsible for all of this begins to tell lies about the incident. I protest in response, and much to my surprise, the heavy weight is suddenly off of me. But just as I want to get up, something makes contact with my back that makes my entire body painfully tense up before unconsciousness hits.

Unbeknownst to anyone, the cat slowly walks out of the room after having witnessed the entire incident. He heads for the same exit he came in through as no one pays him any attention. And why would they? He’s just a cat.

“Oh hey little fella, aren’t you cute?” My new feline friend purred as I gently scratched my nails down its back. “Are you lost? Do you have an owner looking for you right now?” I pick up the cat before getting to my feet, looking around for anyone that may have left it behind. “No tag or anything, oh, but you’re a boy.” He meows in response and I smile once he cuddles me. “Alright, I suppose I can keep you for now. How about we go for a little walk?” I set him down and he follows me inside the castle, the headache slowing fading away.

“You grace,” I address King KARMELASH in a hurry as soon as I spot him, “I’ve bandaged up the guards and they should be fine. They will need to rest for a while but I’m sure one of the doctors can give you a better answer in regards to when they’ll be operable again. Is there anything else you need from me at the moment?”

Who knows how much time had passed, but it had all become a blur as I sewed up wound after wound and did my best to stop all the bleeding. Some of the guards complained, one even getting physically aggressive as he grabbed my arm mid-procedure and threatened to end me if I didn’t save him in time. I shook him off though as he obviously wasn’t right in the head at the moment. The rest of them were easy to work on, and even though they had some blood soaking through their bandages, they would be alright for now.

By this point, I was covered in numerous shades of red. That’s the end result when you’re first covered in wine and then in blood. For some reason, that thought alone pushed me over the edge and after dropping whatever I had in my hands, I ran behind some bushes to throw up. Unfortunately, this was my body’s response to a full sobering recovery. After the worst part was done and over with, I go back and take a seat on the ground, leaning against the caravan and hoping the pounding headache goes away.

I’ve tried decoding by hand and using online tools, all while looking at different types of ciphers and exhausting all options. I’m basically out of answers at this point.

EDIT: Waving the white flag as I’m also working on my thesis as I [should] graduate at the end of this semester, and my brain can only take so much.

Well I have basic equipment so I can’t do much. I can always have the doctors show up right away since I’m not sure what you want our characters to do. I assumed you had a plan the moment David rushed off with Mae or told the king she was up to no good. If not, I can make a detailed post explaining how everyone gets saved.

Prior to mar’s post

“One shift absence and suddenly I’m a miracle worker,” I whisper under my breath. “Alright David, thanks for bringing me here. It’s time to get my hands dirty now.”

After mar’s post

I grab some small gloves and tell the guards to go aid in the search for the rest of the staff. I was skilled enough in order to treat smaller wounds and such, but the big, lengthy procedures were left to the doctors. Obviously I wasn’t certified and if anything went wrong, I’d be getting in a lot of trouble.

“We need everyone from the clinic outside!” I say to one of the guards standing nearby after David informs me of what I already knew. There must be a reason for him to pull me away so quickly, and I guessed it had something to do with a change of plans.

“Your grace, I will return as soon as I can.” After a confirmation nod from the plump man, I continue following David outside. “I would have assumed they would have been here by now, guess the word never got to them.”

“Your grace…” I step out from within the shadows and both men to turn to look at me.

“Nurse Arryn? Where have you been? You’ve missed your shift and I overheard the doctors talk about the results of your exam. I’m—”

“I know, but there’s something I need to tell you.”

“Oh?”

Whenever you’re ready, your grace. I’d like to talk to you in private regarding the circumstances of my exam."

He takes a closer look at me once I’m near enough and from the looks of it, he’s not impressed. “Goodness girl, go get yourself cleaned up. Normally, I wouldn’t talk to anyone about something as petty as an exam, but you’ve been good and kind to me and everyone here says they love you, so I’ll make an exception.”

“Thank you, your grace.” I bow gracefully before turning around and walking off, giving a little smirk and a wink at the men who I had accompanied up to this point.

I know I’ve been somewhat absent but can I just jump in with David and Ethyri? I’ll be in the back of the room or whatever listening to their exchange with KARMELASH until he notices me or I decide to speak up or one of you advices him I’m there. Either one works for me.
