Topic: Senatry / What MMO will you play next?

I’m enjoying Shadowland Online. It has a lot of elements that would be immediately recognizable to Senatry players—to the point that it makes you wonder about intellectual property theft—so you’ll feel pretty much at home. It’s run by ZQ games, which (if we’re to believe its corporate information page) is a pretty big company. For a Chinese company they seem fairly good at PR. On the other hand, it’s a Chinese company so be prepared to be patient. Me, I’m cheering for Aiwent to save Senatry.

Aiwent, there are two techs that are broken in leagues. Trade Contribution and Commerce Tax. Please make these techs functional as they have been broken since day 1. I have never seen any extra silver contribution to league tech for either of these and I have tested it many times. Everyone who I have talked to is in agreement that these techs do not work.
This is a Major Bug.

I’ve noticed this too. The game seems incomplete without these techs working.

Topic: Swords & Potions / Looking For A Guild?

I’m fairly new, but I like this game and enjoy working with others. I’m just lvl 5. I have a lvl 12 BS and lvl 13 Tailor.

Topic: Kongregate / Read the small print -- Driver Feel the Chase

> Why are you complaining about this, even after the amendment?

Because I like Kongregate and want the very best for it.

> It’s self explanatory… There’s no chance of legal issues because it states numerous methods of entry.

Parse the amended text as it is without my additional revisions and you’ll see that the people who award the prize are still only obligated to use the telephone.

> Ivod: you won’t win anyway, thousands and thousands of people got the ticket…

Send that 3×5 card via certified mail and they’ll actually have to make a file or something before a buddy of one of the good people at The Marketing Arm miraculously wins the prize.

Topic: Kongregate / Read the small print -- Driver Feel the Chase

Ok, now we’re getting somewhere. It’s GOOD to get your house in order, even on a Sunday. This bodes well for Kong. Now, let’s git ’er done!

The revised text currently reads: “Administrator will attempt to contact the potential Winner via the telephone number provided at time of Sweepstakes entry, and/or by private message and e-mail.”

For the sake of logic and clarity the sentence needs a serial comma and one last “and/or”. It would read: “Administrator will attempt to contact the potential Winner via the telephone number provided at time of Sweepstakes entry, and/or by private message, and/or e-mail.”

btw, if you believe “private message” is self-evidently a message sent via Kongregate’s messaging system, you need to see how little the typical 65-year-old small claims court judge knows about the Internet.

I don’t think you guys get it. The mail-in “alternative” is the only one that allows you to provide the information they ostensibly need to contact the winners. Please point out where they say they have ways to contact winners other than via telephone.

Wow! You guys sure know a lot about these “alternative methods” of which there has been absolutely no official mention. As it stands, they have zero legal obligation to use these methods. If they really wanted to use the alternative, they’d put it in the contest rules.

Topic: Kongregate / Read the small print -- Driver Feel the Chase

Was pumped to do the Driver Feel the Chase challenge in Freeway Fury. $20,000 for gas money sure sounds great!

Then I read the small print… and it looks like it’s impossible to win if you enter via Kongregate. They need a phone number and our profiles don’t have phone numbers.

“(5) Winner Selection and Notification: : The one (1) Winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all of the Eligible Entries during the Sweepstakes Period on or about September 14, 2011. Administrator will attempt to contact the potential Winner via the telephone number provided at time of Sweepstakes entry. No messages will be left on answering machines or voicemail systems. If the potential Winner cannot be reached directly, the potential Winner will be disqualified and an alternate potential Winner will be selected in a random drawing from among the remaining Eligible Entries received. If the potential Winner otherwise is disqualified or becomes ineligible, Winner privileges will be terminated, the Prize will be forfeited and an alternate Winner will be selected in a random drawing from among the remaining Eligible Entries. "

So… if you want a shot at winning, however slim, you need to MAIL them your information:

Enter by Mail: No purchase is necessary to enter via this method. Print your full name, phone number, email address and mailing address on a 3″ × 5″ card, insert card in envelope, affix proper postage and mail to: The Marketing Arm Inc., Attention: “Ubisoft’s Driver® San Francisco Sweepstakes”, #140 Rock Road, Glen Rock, NJ 07452. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, damaged, misdirected or postage due mail entries. Mail entries must be postmarked by September 7, 2011 and received by September 11, 2011.

Topic: Dream World / Looters - GM read before accepting people

MLB was a good member of my guild (TFU) until this week when he began to just loot loot loot. He’s been kicked out and is probably looking for new victims. Don’t be one.
