Let it also be known that ZQGame, the developers of SLO, are notable for this style of fraudulent activity, whilst this is the first case of taking Kreds straight from a users account, after purchases of diamonds the developers have to be prompted multiple times to actually add the Diamonds to the users account ( there appears to be no automated system for this transaction ) and in some cases, will flat out deny that purchases were made even with sufficient proof. http://www.kongregate.com/forums/106-shadowland-online/topics/263442-diamonds-issues this page is their dedicated page to issues with purchases.

bogmar, this is an issue on your end, not the server’s, no one else is getting the issue as far as I am aware, try the standard stuff: update flash, clear cache, test in other browsers and make sure you have enough bandwidth that the game is not timing out.

Since the event has just ended I thought I’d post about this since it ruined the event for me.

When in an event battle, if you refresh the page, you do not get the “would you like to continue your battle” pop up, the game just registers a loss an moves on.

This was particularly annoying for me as I finished in #322nd, where I was about #200th beforehand, meaning I lost out on rewards.

Yes I realise that is a whine about how I lost rewards ect.

This is a real bug that negatively impacted users, I do not know of anyone besides me though that was affected by this so I hope if someone else who was affected by this will post.

talking on a more permanent basis that event pools cant really provide, a way for anyone to access the cards at any time, I know I wouldn’t want to wait 4-5 months between event rotations for another shot at getting the cards because I might end up missing that. I’ve never personally missed an event, but I could imagine how infuriating it could be.

I was talking more about people who weren’t around for the event, period. This game is a CCG, that means you are supposed to be able to collect, physical versions dont have a problem with limited time/copies because if someone wants the card they can pay for it, but that’s besides the point. If a player wants to be able to get a copy of each new card, they should have the means to acquire it in some form or another regardless of when they joined the game.

I’m assuming you mean sealed tournaments since they would get wiped out pretty easily in a standard, however there is a steep learning curve for tournaments and without having disposable income, I think that new players would lose their gold much too easily and would only serve to inflate the pot for the top % players.

In essence, tournaments were designed for people who already know every card in a pack inside and out, or who know the meta well enough to think of ingenious counters to an enemy tactic, I don’t believe a new player could do that.

However, I do applaud your attempt to try and help the current situation the game is in, it’s just the problems in the game are mainly the PvE side at the moment, card gathering, endless grinding and limited timeframes and this reflects on the stagnating PvP meta because people want counters for the current meta, not a diverse pool of cards in which they can craft and command their own unique decks from.

So, me and a friend were think up ideas to improve they newbie experience in the game since we have both heard the incessant stream of whining about not being able to get X card, Y is OP and "this game is boring, I have to wait for energy to do anything.
We think we found solutions to these problems:

1. PROBLEMEvent cards; Newbies hate them because they can’t get them, Devs want to keep making them because they generate short term profit, we like having exclusive content (sometimes)


    1.a. SOLUTION; make the side missions permanent and reward 1 copy of each brand new card (not the alt arts and re-releases), allow people around in the event to earn extra copies of the card through the already established EP system
    1.b. SOLUTION; actually add the event cards to the vault, we’re still waiting for last event’s cards I believe


2. PROBLEM“OP cards”; purely a PVP issue, ZOMG armour 3 “am I even able to kill that?” “Refresh on a card with 9HP, lol OPPPPP” ect.


    2.a. SOLUTION; PVP tutorial, like the main game tutorial but with two basic pvp decks with a predetermined outcome and the system would guide the player though the fight and explain choices of specific cards in this tutorial
    2.b. SOLUTION; players under level 50 can only join factions of up to level X to ensure they don’t get out of their depths too quickly


3. PROBLEMGame is too slow to get into, new players fly through their first 5 levels on level ups then the game slows down as players have to suddenly wait for their energy to regenerate, after playing at the pace they wanted to, this likely feels like hitting a brick wall for newbies


    3.a. SOLUTION; increase energy cap by an amount each level, maybe somewhere between 2 and 5 so the player always feels like they are making progress, rather than just waiting for the next level up for free energy. (This would also remove only the free energy upgrades from the store)
    3.b. SOLUTION; reduce ALL mission costs to a flat 10 energy per attempt and make boss missions cost 50 energy. This would not apply to the latest set of missions, but each mission set would be nerfed after the next one is released.
        3.b.i. Side missions have a flat cost of 25, 50, 75, 100 energy costs the icons glow red and give a first time warning for each set of missions indicating that the enemies for this mission are much tougher than ones previously encountered in this area
        3.b.ii. Once a boss mission, which I am now clarifying is missions like 66, 90, 144, ect., is completed it’s energy costs are scaled up to 100 energy per attempt and rewards are scaled up to compensate and make for easier dumping.

There were usable cards with those skills though, they might have just been added skiils but they still got used, I’m not asking for a godlike Legendary that destroys everything. I listed all Legendaries with the skills you pointed out, not just the ones I wanted to, also whether a card is good is usually opinion when considering less used ones.

All I would like is two cards to fill the gap in the Legendary list.

Valor has some use when put on units that are meant to tank (Utopia Beacon comes to mind), the cards; Utopia Beacon, Invader Hunter, Revered Monk, Valor Guard, Side Winder, Gouger and Cycle Mech. The Legendaries; Strum and Defiance.

Anyway, to end this essay of a post…

My point is that Anti-Air has not seen much use since before Homeworld, the cards; GDR Battle Suit, Monsoon X, Predator, Cannon Walker, Credo Master and Hydra. The Legendaries; none

I could do the same for Wall, but my point is it does not matter is a skill is under or over played, we need the choice of whether we want to use our Legendary slot on that powerful wall so that we will have less of problem with Fear, or to run the Legendary Anti-Air so we don’t have issues with flying enemies because you always get rng trolled. By giving us the choice, we are free to make the wrong one.

Correct, they all get used from time to time on the current meta, but does seeing a single one of them justify adding Anti-Air cards to your deck, thus weakening its all round performance.
I hope the Developers will consider my idea and bring damage modifiers and 50% skills back into the meta and hopefully breathe a new life into the game.

This gem event is extremely useful for a lot of people and the hatchet problem affects almost no one in a negative manner, I personally would prefer them to work on something beneficial towards the entire community, rather than quelling the QQ’s of a few select individuals (nuker, Merc Archer, Rothus/Eloir)

Also, stop necroing dead threads, it’s bad enough trying to get problems affecting us at the moment heard without month old problems being dragged back up, accept this is how the game will stay

Yes, that is one of the exceptions to the point I expressed but we can also count the numerous cards with Anti-Air that just are pathetic; Missile Launcher, Adaptable Mechsuit, Chiron, Pyro Cannon…(purely opinions)

We also only have one Bloodthirsty with Anti-Air, Grotesque.

I know within every card group there are multiple cards which are sorely lacking in anything close to a reasonable power, but the difference is, we have cards of specific types lacking in power, however this is an entire group of cards being overlooked, with their addition we could find that the meta opens up in new ways, or it could stay the same but we will not know until we try.

Well you obviously did not read the main post, this isn’t a card suggestion thread, the suggestions were purely illustrative, the main point of the thread is having Legendaries with the missing skills.

If it bothers you that much, do something about it, because otherwise, I’m going to keep promoting the thread.

My point was you made a false statement, this does not belong in the card suggestion thread because i’m not suggesting a card. I am suggesting that the dev’s finish making specific types of Legendaries.

As I said in my main post, those were just suggestions, I just feel we need a Legendary with Wall and a Legendary with Anti-Air, it promotes a sense of balance in my mind, every skill has a Legendary card to its name, even if it ends up being terrible.

What purpose would another Bloodthirsty Fear card do though, Powercreep the older fear cards.
The only reason Anti-Air is considered a weak skill is because of two things: these is a serious lack of abilities like Flying in the meta and because the Dev’s haven’t seen fit to release a Anti-Air card that is still good enough to be meta-worthy without taking into account the Anti-Air, as it is a Damage modifier the card should be balanced around both regular play and the targets the modifier effects.
