Meh, im considering just going with the same characters again, the other characters just seem limited in their elements. though that would mean the same party dialogue :(

Use the yellow fairy for beating Karnos and all the stuff at the arena, then you can safely hand it over.

team and equip?

Gloria to use nulls, Meraeador to Potion Spray+Rainbow Juice/Mirrilixir/Speedy Juice. Ohyes. Somebody with high HP to use items, 4th character can be whatever you want. Since blind will make him miss most physical attacks, focus your skills and equipment on Magic Defence.

Wrong. They do appear in the Arena.

Acording to Fig Hunter Wiki, where I got most of the information here, they can only be fought in the Lost Monastery… for now, I’ll remove it.

I do believe Chimto is, unsurprisingly, right on this one. You just have to know where to look in the wiki.

I see. Well, I will admit, haven’t played this game for months, starting a new playthrough right now, I’ll fix this guide as I play. Already discovered you CAN get Alchemist’s Fire from Blood Lizards. Any more help is appreciated.

Limited stuff

This is stuff that is limited in the game, and after expended, can’t be acquired anywhere else. This is, intentionally, not a complete list, since there are many unique items in the game, which you should know to not sell them, especially getting rid of them, so I am pointing out the ones that are more worth noting. Some of them are reagents, which means you’ll have to plan what to craft or not, and how much. Use one of the sites mentioned before for that. Remember some stuff that uses limited reagents can be acquired through monsters!

Equipment that are found:

Blood Opal (3)
Jade (1) → Glyph Shield
Rune Shield (2) → Rune Shield +
Candriathope (4) → Golden Mirror, Golden M Helm (2), Titan Plating, Fig gemsplosion with Legion (only Fig gem)

Items

Griffin feather (5) → Speedy Juice (23)
Acid Seed (16) → Gas-o-Matic/ Noxious Bomb (25 with Gas-o-Matic)
Bitterleaf (10) → Angry Juice (10)
Silver Ore (4) → Steel Stole, Silver Mirror, Buzzsaw Arm, Titan Plating
Gold Ore (4) → Golden M Helm, Titan Plating, Buzzsaw Arm, Golden Mirror

Offensive items (these are infinite if you didn’t kill Gope and completed Chapter 2 in your save file). You can buy 30 of each on Aeropolis, and find more on treasure chests, which should suit your needs, in case you killed Gope/didn’t complete Chapter 2.

Really Cold Water,Liquid Lightning,Bottle O’ Acid

Fairies

After you get the Bandit Key, you can buy fairies in Aeropolis. They give an positive status effect for the whole battle while equipped. Return them for the Fairy Chief for rewards, but then you cannot use them again. It is strongly recommended you return all fairies, except the yellow one, for the Scarab of Health, and hand it only when you need to access the Dreamshrine.

Topic: MARDEK RPG: Chapter 3 / Missable and limited stuff guide

This is a list of stuff that you can miss on Chapter 3. This guide is aimed at helping people trying to plan their way through the game. You can expect spoilers. If there’s anything I forgot to include, please post it and I’ll add it, but remember that some stuff is just rare/can be found later in the game and NOT limited/missable. For that stuff, visit either Fig Hunter Wiki or the Goznor site.

Missable stuff

Bestiary entries

Albino Bat, Sekil – They can ONLY be found on the Sun Temple, before concluding the warding stone quest.

Security Demon

This guy can only be fought before you get the Golden Warport Pass, which you acquire on your 5th trip. He DOESN’T have a bestiary entry. Your reward for defeating him is high experience and getting to keep the “ordinary” warport ticket.

Legion’s skills (warning, grammar freaks, I am referring to Legion as “he”)

Some of his skills only come from bosses.

Blood Claw – Security Demon, Red Dragon, Bone Demon, Karnos.
Raging Inferno – Fire Guardian, Bone Demon, Karnos
Tsunami – Water Guardian, Karnos, King of Goznor
Earthquake – Earth Guardian, Karnos, Bone Demon, King of Goznor

Vit+1 for Legion – He can’t equip stoles, so the only way he can learn this passive skill is with a Jade, which is limited.

Equipment – These can’t be bought and are only dropped by limited/boss monsters, or found in places with limited access, making them missable.

Clerical Mace (Sword) – Fallen Cultling
Sun Axe (Axe) – Revenant
Rending Eye (Axe) – Fallen Paladin
Trilobite Staff (Staff) – Trilobite Warrior
Turquoise Armour – Astral Tunnel

yeah but he is a MONSTER, a FOE, an ENEMY, y’see.

1 – It’s something called sarcasm. I’m sure you’ve already heard about it. Also, nice spoilers.

Gloria: I am confused as you are!

Elwyen: Me!!!
Donovan: My dad is lying dead on the floor here…
Vehrn: Oh… Guess I’ll have to leave it for later.

Emela’s version of Deugan’s Barrier Break. Breaks M.Shield instead of Shield. Same AP/MP, Thauma Element instead of Dark since it’s magic. Reasonable?

Emela can ONLY use NATURAL elemental skills. “Thauma” is a “Neutral” element. Get?

Are you sure? According to Fig Hunter Wiki’s description of Emela’s Elemancy, it says: Description: Cast magic that utilises the power of all of the elements. Not to mention the Water Guardian (who could it be?!?!1) used a Thauma elemental skill called Inversion:Water.

Topic: MARDEK RPG: Chapter 3 / 20 hours of gameplay wasted! (spoilers)

The throne room is the point of no return, as Rohoph cleared said. You should have saved in another file if you still had stuff to do. The only way to fix that now is either load a previously saved file (before you entered the throne room) or start a new game.

I think it’s because you have literally no reason to go in there.
Every other old area (except the crash site and a few others) either have plot stuff in chapter 3 or a trilobite warrior.

Yes, you do. Fumerats drops LeadPipes which are used in 5 of Meraeador’s inventions. They also have the biggest drop chance. Also, Monster Fangs are easier to come by the catacombs because Zombie Monster mobs are considerably more common (and numerous) than Punk Zombies, especially when you get the dark crystal. Monster Fangs are used for Drill-O-Matic (mildly useless), Buzzsaw Arm (Legion’s best weapon) and Power Juices at Gloria’s Cauldron.

@supergnashV2

Or Pseudolonewolf could simply:

1 – Make the Zombie Dragon disappear in Ch3, regardless if you killed him or not;
2 – Block the entrance to the Zombie Dragon at some point with a generic NPC or two, like a warning sign or a zombie;
3 – Make the drop rate for the [PROFANITY] Monster Fangs higher. I mean, what did he intend to accomplish by putting the drop rate for Monster Fangs (mildly acceptable, as is a very good reagent) and some other items like the Sun Axe (WHY?) so low?!?!1 I mean, for completionists like me, it’s just more pain in the arse, and from MY point of view, the Sun Axe was designed to HELP people who start a new game in Ch3 with an easier time on the Dark Temple, not to FORCE then to run in circles for hours… He WANTS us to farm? If I want to farm, I’d rather play an MMORPG

Anybody knows ANY reason as to why Pseudolonewolf locked the sewers in Ch3?

SPOILERS

Also, anybody has a light feeling that Saul and the catacombs on the sewers will be linked next chapter?

Saul : …I’m no longer a treath for you… for now.

He said something like that.

Oh, also, you can try NOT opening the page of MARDEK 3 on kongregate for like… a week. Usually, for me at least, if something suddenly stops loading, and does not want to load anymore, I wait around like a week, then open up the page of the something that is not loading. Then, it should start at 0% again. After that it’s just pray.
If it doesn’t work, I guess 64 is just your unlucky number, hehe.

Topic: MARDEK RPG: Chapter 3 / Secret passage on Goznor Sewers/Girls's Dorm?!?1

I’m going for a 100% completion run on Chapter 2, and I’ve talked to a NPC. Check out the chat log:

Marcellus: Oh, hello there, fellow soldier! If you’re looking for cheap prostitutes like most of us do at night, I’m afraid you won’t find any around here! Try that Lilanea woman’s house. I heard she was pretty lonely; she might let you have a go for free!

Mardek: Well, ew!

Marcellus: A bit too old for you, eh? Well, how about you go and raid the girls’ dorms? Me and Bernie here used to do that all the time back when we were recruits!

Marcellus: There used to be a secret passage from the Sewers that led right to underneath the girls’ dorms… Heh, maybe it’s still there?

Whaddy’a think? Is there such a passage? Will that be important later on the plot? =P

Chapter 2

Trilobite Key I – Found on Tainted Grotto LVL 2 – Search for an Yellow Dot on your map, it is in one of those “Green Pools”, specifically the one right before the place you battle the World’s Saviours.
Trilobite Key II – Dropped by zombies on Canonia, they appear there after you beat Moric. If you killed all zombies and didn’t get it, exit canonia and enter again.
Trilobite Key III – Found on Social Fox’s Tomb – After you beat Moric on the catacombs, there’s a passage behind where he was that leads to Social Fox’s Tomb.
Trilobite Key IV – Spare Gope’s life, then talk to him at the Goznor Inn. This must be done before the zombie attack at Goznor.

Chapter 3

If you didn’t play Chapter 2, or didn’t get the keys, all Trilobite Keys can be buyed at the Aeropolis Slums, in a shop with am item sign.

With the keys in hand, go to the Eastern Glens. Next to the entrance of Lake Qur, go south and you will find a cave. That’s the Trilobite Cave. The cave has 4 levels. To reach Cambria, you need to pass through the cave.

Replace the M Charm with the Yellow Fairy and the Mythril Platemail with the Night Jacket. Mardek then wouldn’t have to worry about Karnos two-shotting him (Yellow Fairy) while being resistant to the natural elements in case of Karnos switching to one.

I’d recomend Solakian Platemail to absorb delay buster, since you already absorb dark with Cursed Beret. But yes, if you are already are immune to air/don’t need light resistance, you can throw in the Night Jacket for extra protection against natural elemental damage.
Also, if you don’t have a Yellow Fairy, you can throw in an Emerald Bangle for earth resistance/HP.

The cavern that Chimto is refering to is the southeast door of the main room of the Water Temple. You have to “play” a bit with the gemswitches to get there
The hidden chest is a crystal, search for a yellow dot on your map when you get to the cavern.
PRO TIP: Go with a character/item with a skill so you can inflict poison in the Master Stone, since it will constantly change elements, and poison is the best mean of damaging it.

Try refreshing the page. If it doesn’t work, try loading the game while loading another thing (IE: Doing a download, loading a youtube video). The reason you might wanna try this it’s because sometimes the internet just suddenly stops loading stuff (for me at least). So it might be useful load 2 or more stuffs at once so it doesn’t stop.
