If there were more active players, I’d say there should be tiers among alliances based on accumulative BV, and in each tier each alliance should be rewarded, and each rewarded alliance’s each member should get some reward. However, there aren’t enough players for this to work in the first place.

Spreading it to 20 is a good idea, although I think the 3rd alliance would barely get anything then. There should be an increase, I’d go for 75 50 25 for each top-20 member of the alliances (or just stick with the 100 for the first like it is now) ~ because 12 would just be an eyesore for the 3rd, that’s barely enough for a single crystal.

As for 25/2, you know you can always take the bottom or the top rounding of it (floor / ceil). I still think everyone should be rewarded to some extent in a winning alliance, just with different ratios.

I’m pretty sure you guys can change it to be top20 with at least an 1.5x increase of divided star gems, although I still support my idea as the “most easily implementable change”.

Honestly, the reason why I came up with the lazy-solution that distributes between the first 8 alliances was because it uses the exact same mechanics, except it’s expanded to 8 instead of 3, and 25 players instead of 10. I think the weighted system I came up with is easily implementable too, but it really just depends on what they wanna do. :D

Well, as for the “inflation”, just look at the price of a lunar cap increase building, or a titanium shard.

And to which I reply that BT is not necessarily an indicator of inactivity, and they get less for having lower BT. I actually thought a non-linear scaling would be better, but this would be the easiest to implement. Non-linear meaning, instead of 0.2 0.4 0.6 0.8 1.0, it could be 0.15 0.35 0.60 0.90 1.0 for all I care - the lowest members would still get less, you need to work for your rewards :D What I did is added enters and points, so it doesn't remove my excess of new lines. :D I think it's really dumb, I'm not sure what this kongregate thing is doing

....and for those who are just as lazy to calculate this stuff as I am, I'll actually write out the results of the formula which I've provided, even though it's just a bunch of numbers.
Top#1 alliance:
- top01-10: 1.0 * 100 = 100
- top11-20: 0.8 * 100 = 80
- top21-30: 0.6 * 100 = 60
- top31-40: 0.4 * 100 = 40
- top41-50: 0.2 * 100 = 20

Top#2 alliance:
- top01-10: 1.0 * 80 = 80
- top11-20: 0.8 * 80 = 64
- top21-30: 0.6 * 80 = 48

So essentially I think it should be
100, 80, 60, 40, 20 for top 1-5 alliances
divided among members of alliances in the form of
Top1-10: 1.0 * 100 = 100
Top11-20: 0.8 * 100 = 80
Top21-30: 0.6 * 100 = 60
Top31-40: 0.4 * 100 = 40
Top41-50: 0.2 * 100 = 20
for example of the top#1 alliance, the next 4 alliances having 80, 60, 40, 20 instead of 100 of course.

I really hope you get what I mean.

I think ripping alliances apart and making them max 20 members each wouldn’t fix the problem that the top layer of 100 active players would be in the top 5 alliances.

If I wanted to go at it with the laziest approach, I’d make the top #8 alliances gain star gems, in each alliances evenly distributed among the top 25 players of the alliance, and I’d obviously change the prizing to the even distribution of 2000, 1750, 1500, 1250, 1000, 750, 500, 250 – resulting in 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10 star gems for each top#25 players in the top #8 alliances.

Anyone critical enough could point out that that however is slightly stupid, so what I’d ACTUALLY say we should do is that the top #5 alliances should get star gems, all 50 members would get Star Gems, but how it would work would be the following:
Top #1 alliance gets 1000 alliance now, so currently top 10 members get 100 each, and all others nothing. I think top10 should get 100, top11-20 should get 80, top21-30 should get 60, top31-40 should get 40 and top41-50 should get 20.
Top #2 alliance should get 800, divided in the same manner – top 10 gets 80, top11-20 gets 4/5 * 80 which is 64, top21-30 gets 3/5 * 80 which is 48, top31-40 should get 0.4*80 which is 32, and top41-50 should get 16.
same for top #3, #4, #5 alliances but with 600, 400, 200 – divided between the alliance members, each getting 1*(“total”/10), 0.8*(total/10), 0.6*(total/10), 0.4*(total/10), and 0.2*(total/10).
