You ask - we reply!
I can’t invite any of my friends into a wanted mission, and I haven’t done any before. I just can’t invite anyone at all. How can I potentially fix this bug?

[Doom Forge] New player advice
If you don’t pay for gold with Kreds, save all you recieve (Wheel of Fortune, level-up bonus etc.) until you’re level 10; that’s when gold items are worth it.

I wasn’t even talking about Kongregate at all, I was talking about the developers. Contracts can be very annoying, but people whining about having to pay for EXTRA content is even more annoying. Extra content should be inplemented without hundreds of annoying fans whining about it for every single game. Only those people wouldn’t agree with me.

Yes, it does. But sponsors and publishers usually take most of it.

remmber when flash games were free
There are two possible answers to the OP:
1. No. Just no. 5$ is nothing compared to what we pay for things nowadays. Remember when there were no flash games? Yeah, think about that.
2. What?! WHAT?! Are you serious?! Do you have any idea what developers have to do?! They have to think of a new idea every month, that is unique, is well executed and attracts enough players. Then the hard part. They have to put their ideas in action, shouldn’t forget anything, not even a mute button, and keep everyone happy because otherwise they’ll be threatened with death by dissapointed fans. They could quit any day. You really think they do this just to make you happy while you do nothing but whine and shout for a sequel or an update?! NO. They want money. And they deserve it! So get the hell out of Kongregate if you can do nothing but whine about an extra feature that they made to keep the people who actually want to buy it because they love Gemcraft, so they could make some extra money which they deserve anyway.
There. I did it. Will i get banned now? Accused for a troll? Maybe. But at least think about what I said. I’ll leave you now, if you really think paying for premium content is that bad, you have more problems than I can imagine.
Two answers that can be said about this. Personally, I choose the second one. If you can’t afford or are not able to buy the extra content, at least do not whine about it.
EDIT: Foul language removed. I’m actually not raged against those people. Actually, I don’t care. I just want you to know my opinion about this subject.

Why the hate for Kreds?
My point:
If Kreds didn’t exist, the games would still cost money. But more. And no surveys.
So the hate for Kreds is unnecissary. It’s not the Kreds what are bothering you. They’re actually helping you.
EDIT: This is an open discussion, but i won’t post in here anymore. My statement (above) remains, and i’m just trying to convince people Kreds aren’t evil.

You still didn’t won. As long as one of my points remain, i have proven Kreds> other sites currency, and they shouldn’t be disliked.

As of January 1, 2002, you must be at least 18 years of age to register for an account and use the Service.
You need to be at least 18 to use a PayPal account, so technically you can’t use it even if you do own it.
Perhaps i should be more clear. I don’t use the service, i just ask a relative (brother, parents etc.) to do it. I understand not everyone is lucky enough to have parents who want to do this for his child. Touché.

I didn’t register :) There’s nothing wrong about owning a PayPal account.

Not everyone will own or have a bank account, possibly due to reasons that you or I may not understand.
Keep in mind that even if you do own a bank account, you need to be 18 or older to own a PayPal account.
Ah, so that’s why me and all my friends own a PayPal account at the age of 14? <sarcasm>Great move!</sarcasm>

Haha, very cute. Well, here in the real world you can get a bank account as soon as you exist.
I understand your opinion, but why FGS would you play flash games on Kongregate for 3-4 hours in a row if you have an XBOX 360 with lots of games?
Until you edited your post i had respect for you. Now i don’t. We are talking about Kreds in comparison to the currency other gaming sites use.
110 Kreds can be about 13SGD or so, which, while “cheap”, isn’t really so when it can buy me lunch or be my pocket money in school for 2.5 days.
110 Kreds is about equal to $50 in comparison to other gaming sites. So yes, it’s relatively very cheap.

Why the hate for Kreds?
!DONT POST BEFORE YOU’VE READ THE WHOLE POST!
Examples:
http://www.kongregate.com/games/ArmorGames/crush-the-castle-2
http://www.kongregate.com/games/Ninjakiwi/bloons-tower-defense-4
Just look at the comments. Almost all of them are bitching about Kreds, supported by 1000s of players who rated their comment up.
I can actually understand why you wouldn’t pay for a flash game but:
-Most games on Kongregate are single-player games, which means you will not get a disadvantage to other players if you didn’t buy Kreds.
-Most multiplayer games which feature Kreds to buy bonusses (example: Stick Arena Ballistick) feature special rooms for people who bought Kreds. Again, this means no disadvantage to you.
-Kreds are incredibly cheap; you can get 110 Kreds for $10 or €7.90.
-Anyone can buy Kreds. PayPal is currently open to anyone and doesn’t require a credit card.
-Kreds make premium games CHEAPER. On other gaming sites, you may have to pay $5 for a cool new feature, which at Kongregate will perhaps cost just 10 Kreds (± $0.90).
-Kreds fund the developer of the game to stimulate him to make new games (=more fun to all players).
No reasons to dislike Kreds, right? Well check how many people dislike them. Those are called hypocrites. They bought a PC/Macintosh, then bought millions of games for them, but can’t afford to pay 40 cents for a feature in CtC2 (for example).
I think i’ve made my point. To all people who dislike Kreds: You should be ashamed of yourself.
Please don’t try to quote me unless you can prove me wrong on every single point (or can support them).

Double XP Weekend
Great, but the rest system is still bugged. It says to give 1x xp while exhausted, 2x while tired and 3x while rested, though it only gives 50%, 100% and 200% xp respectively.

Will Kreds be the end of Kongregate?
I actually think there are too few games with Kreds…
People who think there are too many games with Kreds and that they’re ’’ruining’’ this site; get a job, or a life… there, happy? I gave you more than 1 option.

But the constant pushing of Kreds onto kongregate could end up being fatal to the site.
Actually, the amount of idiots… eeuhm… people complaining about Kreds is becoming fatal to this site. Please, just let us enjoy the games, and stop bitching eeuhm… being worried about Kongregate.
I’m still searching for some nice developers to tip for their great work. They don’t get paid and appreciated enough.

Damage Math
There are no classes (yet?), and if you go for a dagger/cutlass, yes you should go for agility. Also, to remember: this is just a flash (well, actually pixel) game. Don’t worry about gear and stats ;).

Damage Math

Is it possible for the developers to share some of the math behind the game play. I’ll give a few examples:
1. How exactly does every point in strength affects damage output calculations?
DS = Dominant stat (not including stamina), AP = Attack Power, DPS = Damage Per Second.
(DS-10)*2= Attack Power (unbuffed). 14AP = 1DPS (3 damage per 14 Attack Power using a weapon with 3.0 weapon speed).
Formula: AP= -20+2DS, DPS=14AP
2. How does the defense rating affect the monster’s to-hit numbers, and the character’s damage reduction calculations.
It does not affect the monster’s to-hit numbers.
Damage reduction depends on character level and probably includes diminishing returns.
3. How does the character’s Attack Power affect the to-hit calculations against monsters.
It does not affect the to-hit numbers against monsters.

About multiple languages in HoG
Ever heard of private messages?!
Another language = 10-30 min ban, even if you swear your ass off in another language. 90% of the people don’t know what you say, so it’s a 10 min ban (can be a swear or offensive to certain people).

If you play 24/7 (24 hours a day, every day of the week), and you win every arena battle, you can get 56 arena wins maximum. This ’’Houek’’ is obviously a damn cheater.

Glitches/Bugs
Once, (NPC) fairy dragons, could go front to front (like they are supposed to go), but they just didn’t attack me. I’m not complaining, because this actually saved my ass (was stupid enough to do 7-star monster with melee units sigh), but i thought, maybe this is worth posting at the forum.
