Also in those team screen you can put a special border around their name.

Just wanted to add “If this was a deathmatch, in a fairly large open map” then gunners and scouts would win.

Tanks dps in close quarters is beyond :P (with flamey :P)

There are a lot of functional differences.

1)
Noobs can get a kill off at some point if the health packs werent forever epic. Pros wont be as cocky, I hate cocky pros with a vengeance.

2)
You can grab a health pack while being shot at but it doesn’t mean it will keep you alive – because it may only heal 100 instead of 300 depending on how often you are downing health packs.

3)
Though it is a good strategy, run away come back people are annoying (i do this myself of course, but its still annoying.) Specially tanks who have flamethrowers – chasing him almost dead (gets health) owns you with flamethrower cause it does the most dps in game or scouts who save Q for running – they have no downtime unless they are actually down.

4) Dying takes longer then getting a health pack.

How about diminishing heal-over-time. So when you stand there, you heal to full life over…say, 3 seconds. The next time you stand there, you take 4 seconds. And then 5. Then 6. Then 7. Then 8. And so on, until you die, where it resets to 3 seconds.

Sorry, but why is this necessary? I kinda like the heal pads the way they are now, hogging and all. Why would diminishing returns make sense? That would just make it more rewarding to suicide/kamikaze after your first heal.

Mostly the diminishing returns would keep players cycling. If you have a few pros vs quite a few noobs. You will notice the pros dont die largely to consuming all the healths, and therefore dont cycle (die, revive, die.. ect ect). Diminishing returns would make it harder to own in copious amounts (specially as tanks and scouts who can get to them either (safely with their shields) or quickly with their speed) now you would have to play less brazenly and more tactical (gunners only get the health packs if they are camping on them or arent being chased very well). And per another suggestion pages ago, making grenades take you down to 1 health instead of killing you – you couldn’t suicide.

Just had 4 tech team, even a sniper cant get through that many heals.

With a tank to distract and then some dps (tanks with flamethrowers or other) you can kill them though. Use grenades to separate them if you dont have a flamethrower.

The elevator fix alone makes this patch gold :D

And if I remember correctly, the shell also had a max damage absorb (rate) – so attacking it will reduce the time (just at a slower rate now). That is if i remember a post correctly, I am not sure. lol But I am very glad for the buckler change – some better tanks here were making it more powerful then their shell (“tank catches 4 grenades and 15 seconds of non stop bullets with just their buckler, switches to flamethrower, kills everybody – tank laughs, I cry”)

Tech buff seems very cool, I’ll try tech again later (I probably will still suck though.. >.> lol)

Funny, I felt like I destroyed you. Oh well.

1) You “may” dodge the flares. If you get hit you will die if they lined their grenade up (as a gunner). If you are a tank then they will need to do some E and sword.
2) Yeah tanks are a different story.. “tank uses Q” “Scout runs away”
3) The tiny hole doesnt mean much to gunners – you have time to turn and shoot once.. or grenade yourself to death (since it freezes you, your speed is down to nothing and gunners have only upwards E)
4) True. But like I said before scouts can just Flare and Grenade most gunners and they will die just from that.

Um… how about just glitched doped saber is OP? I feel like that about covers it…

But the combo, its the cheese of it all. The whole time you cant move while they own your face off, that’s the beauty of it.. lol

Lol I still think tanks are OP with new weapons, have a whole thread almost dedicated to just tanks. Mostly about how much better the bought weapons are compared to the HMG. (Significantly better)

Scouts can run away from anything – as a gunner I can tell you it isnt that easy to run/dodge around the flamethrower. Usually they will kill you unless you run away at first sight. AT first sight.

If the tank has old weapons, you may be able to 1v1 him – make sure to get him to use his bubble (and dodge all his attacks while you wait). If the tank has new weapons dont approach them unless they are distracted. If you can sneak your way to their back side so when they think they can shield the damage with the second weapon set.. they still die. Use grenades to launch them off pads when they have bubbles up.

Most importantly, stay away from tanks that have the new weapons – range the shit out of them (shoot them from two sides to keep their shield from being useful)

Also suggest really making snares or slows weaker then you’d think – like this snare should be 1 to 1.5 seconds tops. In incredibly fast paced games seconds become 10 seconds.

I like M_16’s more. You cant make a player play for the opposing team – you can make them think you are apart of the team though.. If you wanted to make it really confusing you could make it so you appear to be one of the current team members they have, that is if I am bob scout and joe is a gunner. You cast the spell, to me you appear to be joe the gunner. To joe you appear to be bob the scout.

Otherwise they will know you arent apart of the team based off of name – I read names.

The 1 hp concept isnt meant to keep you alive – though it doesnt mean it cant, you may very well live with 1 hp. It does mean however that you can no longer kill yourself.

This doesnt make sense. The only difference from the proposed suggestion and what it is right now is that you can “kill yourself”. With the proposed suggestion you cant kill yourself, so the scout would get his kill – if the grenade didn’t kill him (which they usually do, grenade and scout don’t get along lol).

Then my only other suggestion is to make gernades not kill you, they can do damage up till 1 hp. That way you can make yourself an easier kill, but you cant kill yourself.
