Also 2Cents certainly seems to be an alt given that he’s pretty used to the forum for such a low-poster. HOWEVER, I think he’s just a lurker who’s been around for some time(like me, I was like him when I started out) AND he has a profile pic that’s not the standard default(unusual in alts) and he has already claimed to be a lurker.

Don’t have time to read through the whole thread, so I’ll just answer the questions set by OP.

1)I think of inherited intelligence as a head start in a race. It gives you an advantage, but if you slack and don’t bother working hard, the people without head starts will still overtake you anyway.

2)Yes, it is. It strives to keep us from being too contented and idle in our current situation. It makes us reach for the stars, in that sense, because the sky is not good enough. And of course, when we reach for the stars, the sun will be next, and so on and so on until we conquer the universe or die trying.

3)I’d say I’m pretty unique. My IQ is higher than average, I’m left-handed, I have Asperger’s Syndrome and my English is a few levels above my class. I’d say there might be only a few dozen people in the world who share all these traits.

4)No, there’s still lover’s quarrels, personal arguments and other stuff. It does control a large portion though.

5)To be rich and famous. A very simple aim. I define rich as “being able to sit on my hands all day and yet still have enough money to live comfortably” and famous as "if you ask 10 average American citizens, 10 average Russian citizens, 10 average China citizens and 10 average Australian citizens whether they knew who I was, at least 5 of them would respond in the positive.

6)Of course. If I knew I was never going to die, I would feel free jumping off buildings, juggling burning knives and stuffing myself with pure sugar since I knew I wasn’t going to crush my spine, get stabbed/burned and suffer from diabetes, respectively.

I believe that the earth is warming up slowly, and that the icecaps are melting. IMO there’s lots of evidence to support this.

However, I also believe that by the time the earth is so hot significant negative changes happen, I will either be too dead to care or at least too senile to care.

+1 to Jantonaitis, and the key to realizing that the blog poster is either a controversial feminist who goes overboard or an outright troll is this:

If I were a serious feminist, I would want to reach out and educate both men AND women equally-after all, the list is useful to both genders. But this is clearly intended to be controversial towards men ALONE. She even puts it right up at the start of the post. I can only think of two reasons why this would be the case.

1)She’s trolling. If I were to try to troll posing as an extremist feminist, this is exactly the sort of thing I would do.
2)She is such a crazy lunatic that the point of her post is not to educate people about possible pro-rape men(ie. threats to women) but rather simply to vent her frustration at men.

Some parts of the list seem overtly generalized; might be evidence that she’s trying to attack most men. However, some parts of it seem oddly specific-“He is pro-choice because he believes abortion access will make women more sexually available.”

That is… simply what the fuck is she talking about? I have never met somebody who had ever used that argument or ANYTHING LIKE IT to defend pro-choice. I’ve heard countless others, but nothing so narrow-minded as that. I believe 99% of men DO NOT think that way, thus I believe that this is venting her frustration on a specific person in her life who has shared this view(or perhaps has shared a slightly milder view but which the author misunderstood or strawmanned).

In conclusion:don’t take this shit seriously. It’s either a troll or a lunatic. (You don’t say?)

On Mondays to Wednesdays, I can post from 10 o’clock to 12 o’clock.
On Thursdays and Fridays, I can post from 10 o’clock to 1 o’clock, a one-hour break, then 2 o’clock to 5 o’clock.
On Saturdays and Sundays, I have a possibility of posting at any time between 7 o’clock to 7 o’clock, but it is erratic and may be different from day to day.

I would suggest this:each character is assigned a “combat score” from 1 to 100. Roll 5d20 for the attacker. Add it to his combat score. Roll 5d20 for the defender. Add it to his combat score. If the attacker’s new score is higher, he hits. Otherwise, the defender blocks or dodges and it’s the defender’s turn to attack. If the attacker hits, roll 4d10 and deduct it from his health score or equivalent(assuming the maximum health score is 100, adjust as needed).

Appearance:William Slate is an average young man, with hazelnut eyes and swept dark brown hair. His skin is slightly pale and his fingers are long and tapered, like those of a pianist or a surgeon. His cheekbones are highly defined and his collarbone juts out slightly. His face is handsome, but seems crooked somehow, the features slightly misplaced. His brow is high and gives him the look of perpetual arrogance.

Personality:William Slate is unable to think emotionally or metaphorically. His mind is completely literal and almost robotic in its precision(for the why, refer to biography). This is his one weakness; he shows a disturbing lack of fear even in the most dangerous situations. It also means his social interactions are horrible as he has a tendency to insult others without knowing or intending to. Metaphors and idioms are taken literally-thus, if a character exclaims in a fit of emotion “Kill me if I’m not right”, and he is later proven to be not right, William Slate will attempt to kill that character under that character’s own orders.

Biography:William Slate was a brilliant student, and studied at Harvard for a degree in Law. He passed with flying colors and took a position at a prominent law firm in Los Angeles, where his unbroken case record-27 wins in a row-got him promoted to senior consultant lawyer. However, while having a holiday in Atlanta, he crashed his car on a snowy mountain, remote and desolate. A hiker spotted the flames and the explosion and called for rescue, but by the time they got a team to the mountain, William had been trapped under his car for hours. The resulting oxygen deprivation had destroyed his hypothalamus and amygdala, as well as crippling his brain’s ability to transmit the neurochemicals that produce hormones, thus making him unable to be sexually aroused, feel disappointment, anger etc. On the other hand, since the logical part of his brain(such as the frontal lobe) now occupied 100% of the brain’s function, its ability to think was improved tremendously, making him extremely intelligent, but in a limited way.
