And is it coincidence that it was the exact size and measurements of biblical records?
“What were the dimensions of Noah’s Ark? The Ark was taller than a 3-story building and had a deck area the size of 36 lawn tennis courts. Its length was 300 cubits (450 feet, or 135 meters); its width was 50 cubits (75 feet, or 22.5 meters); it had three stories and its height was 30 cubits (45 feet, or 13.5 meters).”
Not quite.

That same logic would apply to Holocaust grave excavators. If you think that because they are Christians and they found something proving their point, they are wrong? By that logic, if Jews found a mass grave, because it is proving their Holocaust point, they are wrong.
I didn’t say I thought they were wrong because the were Christian, I said they weren’t able to be objective because of their religion. Ignoring that, the “evidence” they gathered isn’t convincing at all.

You don’t see how a team of Evangelists finding Noah’s Ark raises questions about authenticity and objectivity?

Reevaluation of Building Standards in 3rd World Countries
Then why do you have such a negative attitude towards positive change? It won’t happen unless people like me come forward and promote it.
Your putting words in my mouth. I’m all for positive change, but I’m of the opinion it cannot be forced upon the world.

It’s people like you, and your grandfathered in attitude, that is the enemy of this sort of compassionate progress I am sorry to say.
I donate a significant percent of the money I earn to charity too, so get off your high horse. I do it because I want to and I’m free to do so; I shouldn’t be expected to pay for others with whats mine unless I choose to.

The world should pay for it. With no expectations of anything in return. Enough is enough, we must all help each other.
Good luck with that.

As for Noah’s Ark, you know they found a piece of it.
No, they didn’t.

I don’t think it’s fair to make a thread about a user who can’t respond to defend himself.

Should Felons have the Right to Vote?
That’s all I can really come up with at the moment. To be honest, I think felons should lose the right to vote while in prison, and then gain it after serving their sentence.
I definitely don’t think ex-felons should loose the right to vote, but I’m not sure how I feel about those currently incarcerated voting. I’ll definitely have to think about it, thanks for bringing up that point.
-
Also relevant:
“Some say those who break the law lack the trustworthiness to make it. Todd Gaziano of the Heritage Foundation argues that felons might form some kind of “anti-law-enforcement bloc” and elect bad officials. But last year Alabama Republican Party Chairman Marty Connors stated a bald truth: “As frank as I can be,” he said, “we’re opposed to [restoring voting rights] because felons don’t tend to vote Republican.” He is right: People with low incomes, low education or minority status — all benchmarks of convict populations — vote Democratic 65 to 90 percent of the time."
From ‘Why Can’t Ex-Felons Vote?’-Washington Post
The article brings up a lot of the political reasons felons can’t vote, and I also thought the conclusion was very powerful…
“Voting is not a privilege; it is the basic right that defines a citizen. Those denied it are, in effect, stateless — people without a country. This is not a partisan issue, but one of basic human rights. People who have paid their debt to society should have their rights restored.”
