Phoenix.

The only time I’m really liking Superman is in Injustice, where he basically plays the bad guy.

The issue is these nicknames are as good as our identities when it comes to this forum.

where is the problem if they got banned?

The problem is if they are innocent. Prematurely naming them is something that should be avoided, but I have no issues with naming any banned players.

The issue is that Events encourage burnout, and other reasons besides. PvP Events are just Promo distributions.

Shadow, although this sounds like a good premise, it’s not gonna happen like that. I mean, this is #TeamGetMoney we are talking about :/

But it did happen. They simply stopped doing it.

No. PvP Events are bad.

Why?

We get free War bonds from them

Cuz he can’t compete for top prizes… duh

Also because free War Bonds should be for everybody.

False positives are by far the biggest issue with prematurely naming anybody. After sanctions are in place, then naming and shaming can occur, but not before. To withhold names is a perfectly understandable, if a little frustrating, action.

Are you simply going to pretend WMT doesn’t exist then? I can appreciate the effort you put into TU, you get far more money, but you’re not doing your reputation any favours.

I can give WMT an update post at the end of the week. However, continued posting on here about WMT until then will be treated as harassment of our players, especially with this coming off as spam in the middle of a thread where we are actively trying to help the community.

I’m expecting one. And all I’m going to add is that you really should at least fix that buggy release. The previous pack is broken and (I can’t believe I’m having to bring it up) one of our players is apparently still owed his two legendaries (That’s the equivalent of losing 2 Event Vindicators, TU players).

No point freezing anything. The damage has been done, giving them another day or 3 to dick around will not bring us closer to solving the actual problem, and there is always the issue of a false positive.

Shadow, a lot of your posts are totally valid, but this one is just way off the mark. You’re arguing that we should never have developed a mobile game because Apple and Google’s refund policies are somewhat blackbox and subject to change?! You’re claiming pure negligence on our part when you have no idea what the communication with the app stores is like. Have you developed a mobile game before? Do you have experience working with Apple and Google directly on in-app purchases?

And claiming that we have failed to address community concerns is completely off-base. Plenty new features and content has been heavily shaped by feedback on this forum- feel free to look around or ask other players for confirmation.

Shadow, keep up the constructive critical posts you make. This is not one of them.

No, what I’m saying is that you should have investigated how in app purchases and refunds would work. Who foots the refund? Are you notified? Why not create a free game and then add in app purchases afterwards? If you ask the questions before you need the answers, you’ll be prepared. Because cheaters exist, and if there is a way in, they will find it.

Even if I haven’t developed a mobile game, that does not stop me from grasping the concept.

Yes, this forum. Even when you developed WMT (which you don’t), you barely paid attention to legitimate concerns. It took months for Pescado’s bots to be banned, Conquest is still in beta, despite numerous suggestions to improve it, and I freaking told you Events were bad for the game. Kongregate has an awesome community and it is always willing to try and help, but if you’re only in it for the money it will crash and burn.

Why didn’t you fix things? Why simply push more content instead of creating a more satisfying experience. My point stands. You’ve had months to look at this issue, why fix it now? It’s because you’re going to lose revenue in large quantities otherwise.

I really don’t care for the squabbles between factions, because they wouldn’t occur if devs actually did things properly.

Remove the roots and the weeds don’t grow back.

If devs handed control of the xml to a select group of trustworthy players we could get stuff done, at least by rolling in new cards, rerunning events, new missions, etc.

We could potentially implement new tournaments as well. Wouldn’t that be a lark?

Topic: General / [Dev] Refund concerns

With all due respect, we’re talking about an issue that was not only raised months ago, but one that the devs should’ve kept in mind when they built this game for the mobile environment. However, the most likely reason they have been so slow to get this checked is because of any of the following reasons.

1. Pure negligence, they weren’t aware of the issue and didn’t bother checking the forums properly.
2. Pure negligence, they don’t care what happens as long as the money keeps coming in. As Apple and Google are performing the refunds it seems odd that Synapse is so slow on the ball unless they are not footing the bill for the refunds, and therefore their revenue wouldn’t be affected until this was brought to light to a large audience, which would then cause legitimate whales to stop funding the game.
3. Pure negligence, they noticed this probably losing money due to the refunds, but on a small scale, and didn’t think to investigate or implement measures designed to prevent such abuses.

Removal of this post constitutes a failure to explain why this issue was not investigated on multiple separate occasions in the past when it was brought up, and also a failure on Synapse Games behalf to properly address the concerns of their players, for the fourth (fifth?) game in a row, instead simply dodging the issue at hand and showing just how bad their customer service is.

We might have underestimated how difficult it’d be.
