Topic: TDP4 Team Battle / Ideas for new weapons?

HEllios and Impulse, I saw someone with the account name JavelinOU talking in the lobby about 2 or 3 weeks ago and he was talking about creating a flamethrower. Back then he was talking as if the flamethrower and possibly other weapons would be released by the New Year. Of course this is only hearsay.

Topic: TDP4 Team Battle / Ideas for new weapons?

My ideas for cheaper, lower requirement explosive weapons:

Single shot grenade launcher (like a Vietnam era M79)
stat requirements: 6 str, 2 explosives
Damage – 270-300
Reload – 1.5 sec. (also fire rate)
Price – 15,000 coins 50 cash

RPG
stat requirements – 8 str, 2 explosives
Damage – 450-500
reload/fire rate – 3 sec.
Price – 30,000 coins, 150 cash (I’m just guessing on my prices, but my goal was to be cheaper than the HZ and more expensive than the RPD

I think that in a game, weapons should be as close to their real life counterparts as possible. Also, I believe that the lower level weapons in TDP4 are fine as they are. I only wish that there were explosive weapons with lower stat requirements and pricetags in addition to the existing weapons. I mean weapons that would be high damage with slow fire rates to match up against the MG’s the way the shotguns match up against the SMGs.

With your smgs, I think that irl, the P90 is a better weapon than the Tec9, so therefore it should have higher damage, accuracy, and pricetag. The magazines are too big for both weapons. The P90 can only load one type of clip that has a 50 round capacity. The standard Tec9 mag was 20 rounds, though they did have aftermarket 50 round mags. I do wish that the fire rates of guns on TDP4 were more realistic, but .03 seconds sounds way too fast.

The Garand is an interesting weapon and would be neat in TDP4 even though it’s an old gun. However, why would someone buy your version for 10k when they can get an aug with better damage for the same price? Same thing with the Kar98. Your version of the m14 would be just an aug with less ammo, and faster fire rate/reload. Again, an interesting weapon but not something I’d want to buy when there’s a better option.

A mini-gun would be interesting, but to make it realistic, you’d have to include a time delay for the barrels to start spinning. This would get you killed quickly in TDP4. I know you like faster firing weapons with low damage, but the damage should be much higher. Also, the price should be both cash and coins like the other high lvl weapons in TDP4. What you did here that I would like to see in TDP4 is having a weapon with a 10 str requirement.

I’m not familiar with the final two weapons you mentioned and as you didn’t provide stats, I won’t comment on them.

What’s there to get? The sell value is always half the price of the buy value. If it didn’t change during the holiday price breaks people could easily abuse it by buying cheap and selling when the prices go back up.
