Pandemic 2
Yeah but Fenn, AIDS is not that horribly contagious unlike the disease in the game. AIDS only occurs if you transfer bodily fluids with an already infected person and in most circumstances only involves blood and fluids transferred during sex (AIDS transfer in saliva is very rare.)
So although it is pretty much 100% fatal and very widespread, it is also trackable and thus border-closings wouldn’t be needed. In the game however, the world has no way to predict the movements of the disease.
While it is likely that diseases with no symptoms can be located and it would reasonable that the global population would be concerned about a spontaneous epidemic of a mystery virus (if I was infected with something like this, albeit, with no harmful symptoms, I’d still be pretty unnerved especially since no one would know what it was), however the drastic measures that they’re so quick to take is unrealistic at best, not to mention a pain in the arse.
On another note, not every region of the world would be able to detect this virus without any discernible symptoms, so I think that should be taken into account.

Teh official DF,AQ,MQ thread
I played all three but have a Guardian account on AQ from a long while ago. I personally now hate AQ because of
1: the fact that you can’t walk around, which is sorta surprising since the other two games have that added feature but pretty much nothing else, yet it bothers me a fair bit.
2: the stat system in AQ is totally BS. I spent the time battling monster to level my character just so I can fight MORE people just to get my damn stats? That crap wouldn’t fly in any other professional RPG.
3: their horrible attempt at humour, while that’s a common problem across all three games, AQ’s the worst offender, often it kills the immersion when you have god damn 1337 speak in a professional game’s dialogue.
Rant aside, I actually like DF and especially MQ (since it actually has a decent combat strategy to it).
PS: If someone begs to differ on my opinion on AQ, I’m totally willing to trade my Guardian account for a Star Captain account XD.

WORST games ever.
Hehe Action 52, I’ve seen a review for that on youtube. Bloody hilarious. My vote, from what I’ve seen of Superman 64 it’s really bad.

Wii Dissapointing?
I have to say, you really can’t compare the Wii with the 360 or the PS3 anymore. They’re just so different, but each have their pros and cons.
The Wii’s good points are that it’s good to play with friends. I must observe that it has way more multiplayer (not single-player online, that’s just BS) games than the others but the games lack any form of depth. But you really can’t blame them since how are you gonna make a game like Mass Effect, Oblivion or Halo for the Wii? It just seems impractical with the Wii’s controls.
I think that if you can, get a Wii AND either a 360 or PS3 (if you can afford it) because that way you get the best of both worlds. I personally like the 360 the best because it has a way larger selection of decent games than the PS3. And I’ve heard that the PS3 can break (maybe not quite as often) as easily as the 360 (btw, Microsoft has really good customer support, I sent my 360 in and got it back in the same week)
