Just a thought, but perhaps, seeing as we’re IN the water this time as opposed to standing next to it and poking at it with a fishing pole, maybe items that need to be fished up for daily quests could be normal quest drops down here? For instance: I need Soothing Kelp for one of Misty’s quests and, oh look, a kelp bed is right in front of me. Logic would dictate that I simply take a few steps to close the gap, grab me a handful, and then return to town triumphantly with the sought after items firmly in my grasp. But nooooo, I have to ignore the kelp in front of me, swim aaaaaaaaaall the way to the surface, find a pole, and then pray that a piece randomly floats by and gets snagged by my hook. I mean, seriously, this takes the phrase “making more work for yourself” to whole new level of self torture. And while we’re on the subject of logic: shouldn’t daily quests such as Cracked Crystals and Dooty Patrol be impossible in these levels? Last time I checked water tended to dissolve the substances in question therefore making the whole idea of asking us pretty much moot at this point. Yeah, I know, I think too much. Let’s all just pretend I was never here, sigh…

Yes, for the love of all that is pixelated, please please please give us that option! Between the events and the Nate quests I have more in my inventory that I’d rather get rid of than stuff I’ll actually use. Being able to sell them would be nice, but I think we’d settle for just being allowed to delete/drop them at this point.

Made it to the Flux (finally!)then went and talked to all the busy developer type people hard at work. However, after speaking to the one in the upper right corner, I found myself thinking “Aww, I don’t want a death animation. Why can’t we all get humpback whales instead?”

Not sure if this is a visual bug or just my comp, but every time I use a friend whack everyone shows up wearing either Liara’s purple knit thingy or the little boy’s baseball cap from the Valentine’s Day event. The only reason I’m mentioning it is because my game freezes while the graphics attempt to show the proper customization items they have on. It’s really just annoying as opposed to anything else, but it’s still a pain in the butt to have to wait each time.

Only one thing comes to mind when I think about the this quest…. Bushwhacker: getting things done (and p***ing off the ASPCA) with blunt force trauma since 2012, lol.

And yeah, 100 turkeys IS a bit excessive, but a quest is a quest in my opinion regardless of how long it takes.

Nothing major, but the special pets in the fence up by Mindy keep wandering around town. I was talking to the Halloween vendor and one of them just sauntered by and walked into the haunted house. Literally. Like passed straight through the wall and everything. I know they’re supposed to be Halloween themed, but I think that was a bit over the top, lol.

Edit: Okay, I take it back. ALL the pets are running loose now. Maybe Mindy’s sleeping on the job?

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Ashtaria] [BETA]Feedbacks and Suggestions

It would be nice to see if there will be additional waves after the initial enemy group that’s listed. I’ve died a few times because I figured “Eh, I don’t need to heal that badly and this is the last enemy so I can make it.” Then then next wave comes and what little bit of healing I’m able to do at the beginning of round isn’t enough to survive the three subsequent attacks before I get my turn again.

Also, while this is a fun game so far, I’m concerned about the fact that several people have mentioned the quest line which will eventually require that an extremely expensive weapon be purchased to complete and the complete lack of developer acknowledgement of the issue. Every other issue has been addressed in one way or another, but it seems like this one is just flat out being ignored. They’re not even attempting to justify the cost let alone negotiate with the players to find a mutually beneficial compromise which, to me, just screams of greed. I almost wonder if they think that if they ignore the problem people will eventually just give up complaining and either pay through the nose or quit. It’s not even like there’s PvP content right now where those who can afford and want to get an edge over other players would have an incentive to do so. As someone else pointed out: clearly, they overestimate their product’s worth by quite a bit. In no way am I trying to deter people from spending money on this game; on the contrary: if you feel like this would be a worthwhile expenditure then by all means go for it. But for the rest of us who, based on either financial limitations or just the principle of it all, refuse to give up that much of our hard earned cash this needs immediate attention on the developers part. There’s a big difference, which apparently needs to be pointed out, between paying the bills and all but sticking your hand directly into our wallets.

I will continue to play at least up until I reach those expensive quests, hopefully something will have changed by then or I’m sorry to say that will be where I quit.

Actually, Back to the Future HAS been referenced by way of the Town Hall’s clock tower. If you try and climb the ladder in the back of the town hall it mentions something about not climbing up because the Doc says it’s dangerous. And the quest to finish the tower itself was called “Great Scott!”.

That being said, I’d like to see more classic video game nods or maybe Thundercats or Transformers. I can’t for the life of me remember if that’s been used or not, it’s been awhile since I’ve been to some of the earlier locations. The only other thing I can think of is maybe throwing in some anime references, but I can see how that could end up being too obscure for most people to get.

Clearly his reputation precedes him. And to think, a simple metal sign is all it takes to prevent disaster (aka Nate Dragon) from striking. Unless the sign literally meant dragons of the fire-breathing variety, but this IS Nate we’re talking about so I highly doubt it.

I agree with Kevlar, I have waaaay too many powders that I’ll simply never use just taking up space. I’d gladly take a loss just to convert them into something useful even if it ends up being at a much higher exchange rate. Or maybe, if you do end up implementing rune trinkets, you could make one for each basic rune type as opposed to a generic overall increase much like we currently have for all the other drops. I’m not sure sure if the ‘chance to get different powders’ thing would be very helpful unless there’s something you could do to increase your chances of getting powders you want when you’re disenchanting runes that you don’t. Considering runes drop at what seems to be a very low rate it could take forever to amass enough powder to create the desired rune type.

On a side note, is there a chance to get a pet with a puzzle drop increase? I have every other drop type so I’m just curious as to whether or not the possibility exists.

I have no clue how to back up my game save files so if I clear my browser cache I lose everything. Does it REALLY matter if the Flux puzzle still shows up as the 7.0 one or is it purely superficial?

Not that it’ll really affect the game in any major way, but do you guys plan on ever adding area music again? I realize it’s not as important as some of the other suggestions in here, but from the Juau Islands on it’s been a little too quiet in the BW world. Even ambient noises would be nice, but having nothing but the drop sound effects is somewhat unsettling to me for some strange reason. Call me crazy, but I liked the BGM for the different areas of the game and I get a little sad when I enter a new area and it’s silent. Yes, I know I could just put on my own music, but it’s just not the same.

Yeah, I noticed that last night. I’ve been keeping an eye on it and so far it seems okay aside from the first time it I noticed it. I’m beginning to think I may have just been extremely tired and my eyes were bugging from lack of sleep.

Also, is completing Nate’s Agrabush side quest a prerequisite for being able to enter the Flux? I finished the final puzzle last night, but when I tried to follow the princess into what should still be the Flux it’s like I hit an invisible wall at the top of the screen in both normal and full screen. That’s the only thing I haven’t done in this area, but I was under the impression his quests were of the ‘side’ variety and had no effect on anything outside of getting an item or two.

Is there a limit to how much energy you can get from the carnival games each day? The last 3 or 4 times I played I noticed my energy kept resetting to 93 then, regardless of how much energy I actually won, it would go up to 99 and then back down to 93 when I won again. I know this sometimes happens when fishing and is just a visual bug in that case, but even after I whacked a bush the energy did not correct itself and simply subtracted the appropriate bush cost from the incorrect energy amount. Refreshing didn’t work either. I’m not going to stress over 5 energy, give or take, but I’d like to know for future reference if there’s a limit so I don’t waste tickets or if it’s an actual bug.
