When power cast is played but no creature is summoned, the opponent can play a light alliance creature for +2 even though the card states the next ally light alliance creature.

I agree with that observation on Ice Blast.
Most 4-turn hero abilities have values somewhere between 2 and 3 mana worth. Jorma, Uunys, (and akatril I guess) have fire bolts with slight bonuses. Abaddon has blight etc. (Baha and Noran on the other hand have 4-charge abilities worth >3 mana but that’s a different argument)

Ice Blast is a skill that has potential to meet that 2 mana cost, but it is nigh on impossible to ever use to this maximum potential and so it is oftentimes left sitting at full charges for several turns before it can see use, and oftentimes that just means burning off 1 mana for 1/2 of what it should do.

Proposed changes:

1. Ice Blast – Your opponents hero gains 2 less mana at the start of the next turn.
— This would make its effectiveness always reach 100% of its potential. But I could see arguments on how this may be too powerful with proper charge control decks etc. Might push it up into 5-charge territory?

2. Ice Blast – Your opponent’s hero loses 2 mana. If their mana is at 0, deal 2(fire) instead.
Not 2-(mana lost) so if the opponent is leaves themselves with 1 mana, they still only suffer half of the consequences.

3. Ice Blast – Your opponent loses 1 mana and gains 1 less mana at the start of the next turn.
A compromise between current and proposal 1.

When Manacycle is killed on the owners turn by an opponents QDC (ie, when forced to kill opponent manacycle and opponent draws card) , none of the effects go off. This has happened at least 3 times to me now. There was no deny in play.

Crits/blocks are just as random as drawing cards. They are just as predictable as drawing cards. I guess heroes should be able to block, though. I do agree that would make things better because of symmetry.

Again, why is winning the game with a crit so much worse than winning the game because you drew the one card you needed to win?

In the example you give, you have chosen to willfully ignore the possibility of crits/blocks occurring. Could I complain about not drawing the card I want, because I am willfully ignoring the fact that card drawing is random?

Furthermore, you’ve decided that not only should everyone ignore the possibility of crits/blocks, but also that people who do think about crits/blocks are stupid.

There is no “suddenly, it crits.” Every single attack could be “suddenly, it crits.” There is just as much warning, mitigation, and planning involved in a crit as there is in drawing the card you want. If your opponent is playing creatures, you should expect to see crits. If your opponent is a Priest, you should expect to see Priest skills. There is no “Suddenly, he played Sanctuary.” You expect to see it eventually.

Every post that complains about crits/blocks could replace “crits/blocks” with “card drawing.” and it would make just as much sense. Everyone complaining about crits/blocks fails to uniquely distinguish between crits/blocks and the randomness of drawing cards. Sometimes guys do double damage. Sometimes you play 3x of a card in a 15 card deck and lose before you draw it.

Because simply something that has say a 7% chance of triggering is simply not something you should expect or rely on.

Take Fear as an example, its a 25% trigger rate and even then no body can expect it to reliably trigger and send a creature back home.

Comparison to card drawing is moot as well, since there are many different cards that serve a similar purpose. If someone with the proper resources wanted, they could have well over 3 copies of [Insert card-type] each playing to the same effect. ie. 9x 1/2 wait cavalry, 4 direct control cards, 2 buffs

So I’m missing 3 tribes packs from a tourney.

I had won first in a ticketed tourney and joined another before I collected my reward, after that tourney I received only the previous award but not the award for the later tourney. I’ve checked collection too, and no new cards either. Thought it could have been lag but it’s a day later and still no packs. Hope this gets resolved soon, thanks!

One quanta/one Elements hp can not translate kingdoms mana/hp, and anyways, I doubt the devs want to outright steal card ideas.

Just bought a normal 5k Core Gold pack and received only one uncommon and one rare along with 4 commons. The patch notes say “Nothing else to the core gold pack was changed” so I feel this must be a glitch :) thank you

Are you talking about hard/insane campaigns? I can almost guarantee that apart from maybe a handful of people, everybody has been able to beat them without spending a cent. You can farm earlier campaigns for gold for packs or play in the beginner arena. Once youve got a few rares it should be, if not a breeze, at least doable. The campaigns aren’t even the main focus of the game tbh, its the multiplayer

Edit@ Flosscar: I still think it would be too strong. It needs to be restricted in some way such as only being able to pick up 1-2 mana creatures if he could do it from any kingdom. Even zombie priestess would become too strong with that ability.

While I played as groven, I relied on the same strategy that you described and it’s got plenty of flaws and ways to get around. If you want wyrms that have survivability you would generally also need to wait for the correct cc/mass creature buff cards or else you lie in fear of some sort of quick flashfire/titan stomp combo. Add that to the fact that sometimes your opponent has thrown down only 2 creatures and you lie waiting for a 3rd while he pummels you to death. Also, limiting the ability to 1-2 mana creatures is not really quite necessary because if a card played is over the mana regenerated, it would be extra mana that would actually be SPENT (along with the charge wait)

“Shatter” spell card destroyed my own gear while in the description it says destroys random enemy gear. I saw someone else had this same problem too. Since i’ve got an ancient hero, its one of my main gear control cards and I’d like this problem fixed :/

I imagine this is already on your todo list since other wise you would be complete failures at game development, but not adding it until after you make a Kongragate achievement for your achievements is poor form.

Not only does it point-out that you have a half completed achievement system, which was already a weak spot for your game, but it also creates an unrealistic achievement which is bad game design in general terms.

It doesn’t show that they are bad at developing a game, it just shows you have bad observation skills

I Agree HB < FG because they give upgraded cards plus more score/coins for the same stats as a HB but stronger.

Also, FGs are generally more predictable (Their decks and strategies can be found online extremely easily)
