As far as Trickster goes, the decoy isn’t very helpful. Most people just use their starter, because of the low mana cost and the teleportation.

They summon a drake of their respective color that follows you for a small amount of time, then disappear when you leave the realm by any method. Supposed to be pretty good, as long as they stick around.
