Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Sacred Seasons 2 MMORPG] Intro Video

As said on the Wiki, The “Evil Man” shown is Lord Root. He is mentioned in the Hollow Oak area. The White City was “removed” from time by the seasonal spirits and members of the White City (called the White Hart) when Lord Root attacked it. It is now bound out of Time by what bits of it remain in the world. (i.e. the shrine in Plimouth, etc.) The plot of the game (so far) is Lord Root sending his Minions, the Bore Lords, to find the things that bind it out of time, destroy them, and finish off the White Hart. The closest Bore Lord to Plimouth is Lady Stitch, and… well, play the game for the rest

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Sacred Seasons 2 MMORPG] New Replacement Skill for Summer Hunter

If you don’t like the skill for a Summer Hunter, then don’t use a Summer Hunter. Of course other classes have better skills. Summer isn’t supposed to be about large damage % skills and AoE. Summer is mainly about keeping ppl alive. As for the specific skill, It does sound kinda like a waste. A Kong post however seems hardly enough to actually change anything. If you have a complaint, whisper Malkin once he issues a Public Announcement. with all the events going on, you might actually get a hold of him.

Also, real classy to complain about the game and brag about your lvls in the same post. Don’t waste your time with this stuff

I don’t use Greasemonkey at all, and my chat is still bugged. Using Firefox 3.6.8, no addons installed, restarted browser, other browsers work, but lag so bad chat disconnects.

Anything else to try?

All the classes were re-worked to fit the 4/4 setup better. In SS1, each season had: 1 Mage,(Shaman, Clairvoyant, Sun Witch, Thaumaturge) 1 Soldier (Evergreen Soldier, Hypnotist (Godly DEF/RES), Harvest soldier, Arctic Soldier), 1 Hunter (Scout, Pathfinder, Savage, and Snow Bandit) and 1 Rouge (Charmer, Desert Bandit, Clown, and Medicine Man (a healer with those ATK/MAG stats?). Spring Soldier is just Evergreen v2, and such.

Instead of giving them separate titles, they just gave them a blank defining title so the variations can be re-used for other classes. AS is going to be Lumberjack, and such. And for SS1 in beta, it WAS the beta for SS2. They couldn’t do all they wanted to with the system they made for SS1 (Special effects, Status, how connected Inventory is).

Stats:

500G

Lvl: 1

Atk: +30

Overall: Would be good for Alts, (you’d need to be using Kolenya’s War Staff or Sword of Thorns to beat it (lvl 20 for KWS and 33 for SoT)) due to the high lvl per stat increase, except for the cost and low level requirement

If you have 500G to throw away for starting alts, go for it. Otherwise use that 500G for Hats, Miracles or Skill Roars.

The Only thing I could think of making a “Vamp class” would be a “Vamp Race”

Yeah, but if you look at the People in PG, you see Vamp SB, vamp Thaum, Vamp AS, Vamp Hypno, etc. It seems being a Vamp would not affect Class choice. To Balance it though, you would need other “races”. You could get Bloodhoof (as seen in Bleakwoods), Vamp (As seen in Plagued Grounds), and POSSIBLY Some Underworld Pirate Variation. (last one would be a big IF due to lack of diverse classes shown.)

For Stat changes for classes, that would be another issue. Vamp would probably be a good “Mage” style race, but then you would reduce the diversity of plausible choices. If A Vamp gets Higher Mag, but Lower Def/Res or HP, then you take away the point of most melee classes using vamp (like an AS Vamp with lower HP, Def, Res… if possible, and only for more Mag or Lck/Skl which is useless for that class) Same would Apply for a Bloodhoof Race. Bloodhoofs are usually Physical attackers, so High Def, Atk, and HP, but lower Mag, Res, and stuff. A Sun Witch would suffer from this like a Vamp AS. It would just result in Specific classes for specific races.

In the End (hopefully of this thread) the ONLY use of Vamp/Bloodhoof/Pirate/Ghost classes/races would be pure cosmetic. Maybe they might consider making a “Race” Skin/Armor for classes that would have different cosmetic effects, like an alternate color palette or extra parts of the same base armor. OVERALL: possibly feasible, but too much work for too little result. Maybe to be considered in SS2, but we’re too long away to even worry about it. Just enjoy the game.

Topic: Off-topic / If You Were To Commit Suicide How Would You?

I’d have 2 ways I’d like to die by myself (in a way):

Wait for a school/mall shooting/ other related disaster and ambush the attacker(s). At worst, I’ll be a shield where people who don’t deserve to go can escape, and at best, I can stop any further bloodshed. (More Victims/Suicide)

Other Method would be if society were to get near the point of that of “Idiocracy” (the Mike Judge film where society slowly turns idiotic), I would immediately go on a hunger strike in a Library and just study before nature does the rest of the work. Of course I’d write a journal of what I learned and try to make the biggest scene possible so that something could be taught.

Topic: Game Programming / (AS2) Sound Manipulation

I’m having trouble controlling how my sound plays within a movie clip

My Intent is to have it that Pressing a Key makes it that when another key is pressed a sound will play, and if the 2nd key was released and hit again, the sound would end and restart, like if somebody continuously strummed a guitar; The previous note would end, but play again. All I managed was to either start the note over and over (overlapping) or to make it where no note would play while another one is.

These are Correct Font. Some Ratios were thrown off due to resizing to a 50×50 size.

Well, It’s called a Cinematic Reenactment. It’s supposed to look Cool, but it’s mostly crap. The end Results were what important, in which the E-Tool earned about double the Kills of the Ballistic Knife.

I found that is you use Disrupt on One of the Mages, They’ll enter “Energy Phase” or something, where damage does double or some similar debuff. I killed both mages in one hit after making them trigger that mode.

Quality isn’t that great, but I was rushed. ( I had extra work at Crew, and started it about 10-15 minutes ago, and have to get off the comp soon ) I’d say it serves them right, but it’s the artist’s fault and the model pays for it.

I figured out a better build for the Corrupter and won the badge.

I used Predator Form, Sharp Senses, Toxicant Form, Shadow Blend, Agile Exposure, Then Destroy. I put Roald/Dux on Relentless to damage the Perfect Orb. The Orbs spent their time healing, and I went Toxicant again And Leading Stike, Destroy again.

The Problem I was having before was not doing enough Damage. I’d do about 2/3 of the Corrupter’s health, but the Orbs would put on Greater Purpose and Heal her/it all the way back to 100% the same turn. I just combined forms to keep Focus Maxed and used my teammates to distract the Orbs to bash enough for a kill.
