So … any infos about the latest changes to the areas (and others, maybe for the different hero qualities)? Area changes do not make much sense to me, the danger rating in a zone jumps wildly from very weak to very dangerous and back. And I still can’t get past the first valkyre area :>

The most obvious result of these changes is, of course, the greatly decreased amount of gold and resources a player can get. Again.

Don’t forget the game is still in beta, limiting the p(l)ayer base. Having thousands might be limited to the top spenders, but even losing “just” (a few) hundred gems can be devastating. So far, I successfully misclicked twice, losing 68 gems. Would have been more if I actually had purchased gems (spent several hundreds in some other games), which I certainly will not do as long as a simple misclick can take them away.

Small update, based on most recent posts and what I’ve encountered so far:

Sacrifice

9 common / rare = 2x lvl1 (any quality/class)
19 common / rare = 2x lvl5 (any quality/class)
29 common / rare = 2x lvl9 (any quality/class)
39 common / rare = 3x lvl9 (any quality/class)
49 common / rare = 4x lvl9 (any quality/class)

9 epic = 1x lvl1 (rare, any class)
19 epic = 1x lvl5 (rare, any class)
29 epic = 2x lvl9 (rare, any class)
59 epic = 3x lvl19 (epic, any class)

19 legendary = 1x lvl ? (epic, ? class)
39 legendary = 3x lvl19 (epic, ? class)

For free players, that means they are basically stuck with at most epic heroes from Arena Quests (at least later on, I was unable to get them with a 30ish rare party) and possibly area completion rewards. Rare evolution helpers can be gotten rarely from the tavern gold pack, if later levels really require epics then epics are out as well. Legendary heroes require far to many epics, and I’m not even talking about mythicals …

If you are referring to the Evolve & Sacrifice thread, this might be outdated at least for the rares. Lvl 9 evolution took two lvl 1 heroes, 19 two lvl5 and 29 two lvl 9, all of them common.

Scrap your (weighted) RNG. If it is working as intended, then rethink your intentions.

I can’t come up with a reasonable explanation why you are punishing the people who are putting a lot of time and/or money into your game. The more monsters you have, the more the RNG screws you over with multiples of the same ones.

Egg events are supposed to help players get some good cards, but people with many monsters get screwed again. Wanna know what I got from Santa? A 4th/5th succubus, 5th wraithwing, 3rd/4th barnacle, 2nd skyris and 3rd aegis … even without spending money on the eggs it’s annoying.

The Lab was supposed to deal with multiples of the same monster – it does, but not in a way that people were expecting, and for payers it’s insulting.

I spent 150$ on gems within the first two weeks of playing and got some good ones, but also a lot of multiples while still missing a dozen or so monsters. That really got me thinking …
What finally made me stop spending money was Halloween – really made me feel being ripped off spending 50$ for a Dracula I barely got with the very last egg I could buy.

Once again: Rework your RNG. Unless you actually want p(l)ayers to feel frustrated, because then you’re doing a marvelous job (and the Lab is working as intended).

Check the drops in the new dungeons. Feather Fairy dropped a Water Fairy, and I think the Demon Fairy did the same.
Also got a Sinkscale Goblin, probably from last wave sidekicks.

Kittens (at the bottom) rarely appear in Daily Dungeons (not the Rune Dungeons!) and can drop Hatchlings. Evolve them, then fuse it with a monster of the same color to increase skill level by 1.

To further entertain my faithful readers, I recently had a streak of 20x not seeing any hand. And just now I saw THREE hands in 12.5 – didn’t get any of them. It’s ridiculous enough that 2* Evo mats are the most rare of all, but this … I’m starting to think the game is mocking me and actively trying to drive me away.

Did about 8 runs in 26.5 (R.95 to be exactly, but it was said drop chances are the same).
Result: 9 tombwalker, 6 cactuse, 3 forest fairies, 0 undread.

I probably wouldn’t complain if I were after the tombwalkers, but I (and probably others too) was looking for a somewhat reliable source for undreads, since they are needed for so many evolutions after the change.

All Challenges (A. to D.) only drop unevolved monsters (lvl7), D. even level 1 versions.

Compared to regular dungeons which, starting with 19.1, drop Evo1 monsters, this feels a bit out of place.

Server has become unstable since most recent maintenance.
Occasional lag after matching/damage display, sometimes even lost connection (about 6x so far). Game picked up without problems after reloading. Other people in chat report same problems.

Comparing the Monster Book Fodder XP and the values here, it seems there are fixed rates:

Max Fodder XP = Max XP *x%

2*: 35% (max lvl 15/25/35)
3*: 20% (max lvl 35)
4*: 10% (max lvl 50/70)
5*: 6% (max lvl 99)
6*: 3% (max lvl 99)

You already track some (Kong high scores), add a few more (gold, kills, # of turns used to beat dungeons, etc.) and then add

Achievements. Everybody loves achievements.
Once that’s done, let’s talk about

Achievement Rewards.

This could be the usual (gems), but also provides the opportunity to unlock stuff in a

Shop.
I love shops :>
Think Tower Defense/Launcher games. Spend Gold, FP, gems. Buy that pesky Evolution monster you never seem to find
Some might be locked until a certain player level, which brings me to

Skills.
I have some, I guess.
Player level increases stamina and Team Points, but there could be so much more: Increased chance for a certain globe type, additional damage, special effects when matching 5+ globes – take a look at all the other Match3 games: Bombs, Lightning, Shuffle. Even the annoying Ice/Lock mechanic could be turned around to allow the player to manipulate the playing field.
