Topic: Ninja Warz / Is there a way to "permanently screw-up"?

Yeah. Best thing to do to be strong in a way is not to play that often. Do the tournament so you have all the best weapons for your level. Visit buddha every 4 hours and that’s it. Not gonna do that of course.

I have a level 23 at level 14 as my highest…uh-oh. I guess I’ll start focusing on ONLY leveling him up. Thanks for that advice and for letting me know that everything will be “ok”, heh.

Basically, early on, buy a karma weapon, or do, well, ANYTHING that would prevent you from being strong end game? Or can you always go back and “fix” whatever mistakes you may have made?

Also, without spending any money, thanks.

Topic: Time World / Update questions

1. For anyone who bought the top-end royal sword, what’s the enhancement bonus? Is it 5, or +4 for the war/command stat? If it’s +5/5 it just MIGHT actually be better than a level 50 purple war/com or com/war purple in the long run.
2. If anyone completes a chapter of the new WOH storyline, can they post if it gives you a free AP refill and a bonus 2 to max AP like regular chapters did?

Topic: Time World / Command over 400 for MF

I thought I remember reading somewhere that command over 400 with a MF did have some benefit, like perhaps more HP or something, but can’t find it anywhere, assuming it does exist.

Was it stated somewhere that command over a certain amount did anything…and if so…what was it?

Topic: Realm of the Mad God / Making what I hope to be my final character and need some advice

Alright…I’ll try to stick to the outside edge of the god lands dodging and taking on just one at a time.

BTW, what’s the max # of pots you can use? I have I think 2 defense pots and a dex pot on this char so far..

Topic: Realm of the Mad God / Making what I hope to be my final character and need some advice

Been playing for quite a while and quite frankly sick of doing badly. I’ve finally started to get good and for me that means getting a necro to get 1 speed pot and then a second one 1 dex pot and 1 speed pot with 1-2% fame items.

And I’m tired of it. I want to make one final Necromancer (seems to do the best for me-love ability to heal and damage at same time). But, need some advice, and some help…

First, my plan is to avoid god-lands until I’m actually pretty strong. Stupid mistakes there have killed me far, far too many times. So instead, I’m going to be right OUTSIDE the god lands, even at 20, just killing minions and hoping for snake cave drops to get speed pot drops. I plan to max my speed on them, and then slowly trade up on equipment using them and other 1% fame items I find.

Is this a good plan, or is there something I can do better? And please don’t say play in the god lands and try to stay behind people…I really, really don’t want to die again.

Also, how possible is it to trade bundles of 1% fame items for 2% fame items, then those 2% for 3% and so on? Right now I have 1% Mithril Armor, 1% tome of Rejuvenation, and several 1% rings I’d happily get rid of for just 1 2% Necro item. Then, I plan to get a bunch on my normal travels, and trade up for just 1 2% item (maybe 4-5 for just one), and just keep trading up like that.

Is this viable, or do trades simply not work like that? I play on US MidWest if that makes any difference. Thanks for any help!

Topic: Dream World / Thanks Kingk

Why should we care if only one person is being affected?

Because its unfair? Because he deserves better? Because its a very, very bad sign? Because there’s at least 3 more on Facebook facing the same thing and who knows how many on myspace?

We’re on his side because HE’S RIGHT and THE DEVS ARE WRONG.

Its the worst possible solution. And even funnier…it doesn’t fix the issue. Only people placing have drow and dream world gear.

They basically took Pat out, presented him in front of every DW player, and then slapped him across the face as hard as they could.

The message they’re sending is: Don’t play this game too much, or we’ll punish you.

Other than kreds? I’m sorry if it seems simple or obvious. The instructions in this game are rather lacking.

Topic: Dream World / Enchant Potion Question

Yes. If all items are at 10%, and you fail an enchant, the chances for all of them go up. Conversely, if you’re successful on one, chances go down on all of them. However, there is caps on highs and lows. And, first enchant is always 100%.

Topic: Dream World / 60 sp skill bonuses

Does casting Banish Dance increase your block for the entire fight—or just the next round? Also goes for Divine light. Also, does switching classes matter?

For example, I’m aiming to do a Banish Dance to increase block against a Possessed Boss, switch to staff and cast Divine Light for damage reduction, then switch back to sword for rest of the fight enjoying more block and damage reduction. Is this possible?

Topic: Dream World / Official Suggestions Thread

Revamped Invasion Idea:
Alright, I love this game, but I think if it has one flaw, it’s that invasion is a bit, well, boring. Attack a few mobs, then hit MS with a high skill until it Omega Beams you. Repeat for possibly hours at a time.
I do like the invasion idea. But, it’s implementation right now is rather lacking. So, how to keep the idea, but revamp it to make it fun and….strategical!? I’m going to separate this into a few parts. Implementing just ONE of these ideas I think would be great. Implementing them all would take a whole lot of time…but I really think it’s worth it. I’ll go from my best down, though I think all are worth a read. Some I’ll give my suggestions on how to implement it, others I’ll leave open. Of course I’m not designing it so everything I say will of course be modified by the developer and other forum posters. I’m not saying this is the best and am open to discussion!

1. Breaking into Mothership, Areas, and Specific Bonuses
I would love to see an option where you can damage a Mothership and actually invade it. By doing so, you’d open up an area like Isendell. However, even more to it. Instead of just having areas that are level specific, you could have sub-sections that would affect bonuses. Example: Weapons room, Medical Bay, Transportation/Vehicle Bay, Science bay, etc. Or alternatively, when attacking the Mothership, you can select one of these areas, and focus attacks there. There would be a way to control these room—killing the most aliens there, doing the most damage to the mothership, or perhaps once inside these areas, there’s a new mothership like entity (like some enemy with unlimited health that records how much damage people do to them—like the Mothership). Or, and I know this is INSANE amount of work, but implement a new arena like thing, so guilds can actually fight over these areas. Probably a bit too ambitious there, but I’m sure I got the point across.
Now, by controlling these areas, you get more specific bonuses. The guild that controls a weapon Room might have, say, a 10% damage to all their attacks for the next week. Medical Bay, 10% health Bonus. Transportation/Vehicle Bay-Energy Bonus, Science Bay a flat SP Bonus, and so on. There could be a limit on how many rooms a guild could control. Maybe each guild can only control one area on each ship. Or perhaps just one room total, on one ship. That way, guilds would have to be more talkative to each other—what area do we want, what benefits us the most, etc.
Also, once inside these areas, make them have bonuses like Isendell/normal map areas. Wishing Well, Mbox droppers, etc. However, maybe revamped. Instead of a wishing well, a roaming robot you can buy energy from on the cheap? Or, works the same way as a wishing well or dust merchant or what not, but just a new skin. That way you can be working on your character and invasion at the same time. What’d be even extra fun is if there’s roaming super bosses like the possessed bosses. Maybe demons that have been experimented on?

Now, this might require some changes. Perhaps instead of Motherships at each city, there’s only 1 giant one. Or maybe each city has a specialty ship. Or maybe differing levels of Motherships. Level 60s-70s attack medium mother ships, level 70s and up attack a large one…so the medium ones might give 8% bonuses, and larger ones 10% bonuses. That way, lower level guilds have a better chance of getting some reward for invasion. More, and varying, bonuses for everyone, without making bonuses so huge they break the game.

2. Mothership Targetting Areas:
Alternatively, as a way to make attacking mothership a bit more interesting, have different areas you can focus on. Focusing on the weapons might make Omega Beam occasionally misfire, or even deactivate for a set amount of time. Focusing on a transport bay might for a while reduce the # of aliens you have to fight before facing Mothership for a while. Do enough damage, and for an hour it’s always only 1. Target shield generators, and get a damage bonus on all your attacks. That way damage is still being accumulated, but it doesn’t just look like a flat number—there’s actually stuff happening to go along with it. There’s smaller senses of achievements, instead of just the final bonus at the end.

3. Level targeting/Group Co-operation/Etc
Basically, this is an addition to the above. Basically, in the above parts, let there be different areas for different levels. Level 60-70s target one weapon areas they get attacked from, 80 and 90s another, or however you want to break it up. And again, maybe alien ships have different levels. 60-70s might only be able to access secondary or minor medical bays, whereas 80-90s have the major medical bay. Slighter bonuses for lower levels, but better chance of winning. Alternatively, to implement some team work, perhaps certain areas need certain requirements. In order to pass (after killing a total of 100 enemies like in Isendell), you need 5 guild members to all press a button within 5 minutes. Doing so unlocks the medical bay, or a storage room with a 2-hour 5% bonus of something, or 15 extra immediate energy, etc. That way, while the top people in a guild may be able to hold an area themselves because of their stats (so as to not completely take away the advantage the top people have worked to earn), it takes some cooperation to get them there. Also, by having other lower members there to meet certain requirements, it helps them even more while involving the lower players. This will make guilds have to work together more and open up more communication. And, be a lot more fun to play!

Well, that’s all I have for now. If there’s any interest at all, I can fine tune these ideas a lot more. If it’s simply impossible to do in the current game’s system, I understand. I know none of this would be an easy implementation—but it might be something to consider for in the future. That’s why I left it rather general for now. I really do believe this would add a whole lot of extra interest to dream world, and make it more cooperative within guilds and competitive between guilds and adding a dose more strategy to the game without getting OVER complicated. Let me know what you think!

Topic: General Gaming / Balloon Invasion help?

Originally posted by DTPSniper:

1. Every time you call in an airstrike, the next time you try to use that airstrike it increases in price. It’s so high at the end because you’ve used them that many times that they end up being very costly.
2. Easy. So you don’t let one wimpy balloon with a weak bomb live, and constantly repeat the level. If it continued giving money, it’d be way too easy to leave one enemy alive on stage one, and not use any tower, or say, just use a freeze tower and just walk away from the computer, and come back five hours later with insane amounts of money. To prevent that, last level doesn’t give any money. That’s what it seems to me, anyways, and it makes plenty of sense.

Topic: Sonny 2 / Sonny 2 Over the Ashes Psychological Guide

I have a question.

I’m going for the Corrupter achievement. Now, looking at the other achievements that require only one character, I’ve been playing Sonny solo. Is this a good idea if I’m going for the Corrupter achievement, or should I start over and leave Veradux in? Note I’m only about 3-4 fights in (current fight is against Dr. Leath and 2 Prison Guards) so starting over wouldn’t be a big deal.

I’m building the http://oi54.tinypic.com/34zmtds.jpg deck. Right now I have the non-upgraded deck.

What order would you recommend doing the upgrades in? I.E. do pillars first, then adrenaline, then heal…or what would you all recommend? Only important thing is getting gold as fast as possible.

Topic: General Gaming / Protector IV Discussion

Let me assure you—YOU CAN GET THE CRAFTSMAN SCROLL.

I have it! I got it either on the Hydra Stage or the Root of All Evil stage. Those are about the only 2 I play and I’m pretty sure I was playing Root of All Evil. I have some very insane stuff in my game…I’ve been power leveling out of boredom, have one character with all stats maxed out, 117 Skills for my “overall hero”, and am working on maxing out another character.

Anyways, I have about 10 +500% luck potions, and decided to finally use one. Used a scroll to switch my maxed out char to have a thief (ranged basic) char, and used up about 8 speed potions and 4-5 power cheeses and such (I know at least a few power stacks—I’ll have to do some testing later, but I’m pretty sure I used more power cheeses/potions then I got credit for) and gained 256 items on Root of All Evil.

Oh, and if you’re wondering, the Craftsman is the following:

Craftsman:
Creating Stuff is always a pleasure
Tiny Chance to Create an Item After a Quest

And, NO, I’m not confusing it with Crafty. Crafty says New Item, Craftsman doesn’t. Strange, I know, but there it is.

You can get all the Jones items on the Hydra stage, as well as the Protectomon’s. But, the items definitely level up for stages. I looked at all the items on my massive Root of All evil catch, and they all looked pretty good (though not as well as the “named” items from Jones, generally).

Now, if only I can get that Plainswalker scroll…the only one I’m missing…
