We finally got privatized! So people are no longer kicked for inactivity. We aren’t asking much, you don’t even have to maintain a B rating (but a C is nice). And play every so often. You will get notified in our city if you are approaching a kick due to inactivity, but it will be at least a month.

Some people DO want this. Just because you don’t, doesn’t make it wrong.
I wanted this because my friends and I are in a city and have donated tons to it and want to keep the town and not have to worry about getting booted from inactivity. But we didn’t know any of that when we started so we got into a random city and now have to be punished for it?
I have an A rank, and so do several of my friends, it’s not that hard especially if you do lots of quests.
I’ll admit the way they did it isn’t great, allowing anyone to donate up to an A at any level and take it over is not right. But this feature is one that people have requested. The feature is not bad, just the implementation.

Our main people are still there, but we had some of the less active people drop out, so more spots are open. Come join anyone.

My resource bins are completely gone from the build screen. Not sold out, not everything gone, just the resource bins. Tried playing a day, tried reloading, still nothing.

So we had several people go inactive and drop out, to be expected of a public town. The main core are still playing and the town is about to unlock the final teir resources. If you want in, just come on in and have fun.

Topic: Swords & Potions 2 / Game has been down for 4 hours....

This is why it costs twenty five dollars to upgrade the high end stuff. They need to get your money as fast as possible because they know you will leave.

Don’t mind at all. It’s nice to know other people like the town too. :)

Just got a Trade Post Report that was blank. It looks like somethings were sold.

Upgrading the floors/wall to lock out low level customers costs way WAY to much. I am almost ready to lock out max level 8 customers, and I am no where near ever having made the amount of money to lock out max level 5’s. (I can calculate by looking at my donation rating and then dividing by the %.)

You get kicked from your city if you are inactive for 4 days (or if you are in a private one and the mayor kicks you).
Join an established city.

Topic: Swords & Potions 2 / Dungeon Quests: High Level vs. Low Level

When they are low level they take a hit to their success %. If you have good items, you can overcome this. That is the only difference I’ve noticed. I have power-leveled people using this method, but be warned, it is going to be harder than a level-appropriate run.

We’re half full (instead of half empty) anyone else want to come? We have more resources unlocked than I can even use. >_<

Topic: Swords & Potions 2 / Help get rid of those bad customers!

I posted this problem a while ago. Didn’t really get anything aside from “save 500,000 to play the game in a fun way.”

Currently we have 7 slots open. It’s an open town so people basically join on a first come first serve basis, so if you six want to come you are more than welcome, but you might want to do it soon. :)

We are a small group of friends who have upgraded the town rapidly and lost access to new people via randoms, so we figured we’d advertise here. If you are interested in a town that won’t ask a ton from you feel free to join Yaipolis.

Topic: Swords & Potions 2 / Suggestions and Ideas

Well ShiroiRyu’s post was well meant, but you have to realize that it’s priced exactly right for their intentions. The goal of these games is to annoy you just enough that you give them unreasonable amounts of money to bypass the annoyances. The low stuff has to be priced so they can make money from new players, as most people will only play these games for a few days before losing interest. After that, things need to increase in progression. By the high end it’s not surprising to see games charging hundreds of dollars for micro-transactions, specifically for people who want to do nothing more than buy their way into the best scores.

Devious: Same thing, they want you to spend money leveling up your town to use those resources.

Topic: Swords & Potions 2 / This is getting ridiculous (and annoying and boring and insert more adjectives.)

Selling to everyone I made average (with good luck) 1,000 a day.
So that’s 500 days.
Lets say 1 day = 5 min.
That means it will take me 41 hours to save up.
That’s nearly two days of straight playing.
Getting all those adventurers much faster. Now I direct you to the second paragraph of my post. Since you didn’t read it the first time I suggest you pull your head out off your ass and do it this time. Now I wait for an answer about the post.

Failtroll is fail. (and troll)

Topic: Swords & Potions 2 / This is getting ridiculous (and annoying and boring and insert more adjectives.)

My town has between 30 and 40 adventurers that can come into my shop each day. My daily # of customers is 9. This is a horrible ratio. But it gets even worse when you realize that so many of them are max level 5. I don’t want them in my store at all, they are dead to me when I have level 8’s and 10’s.
However I can’t increase my store to get rid of them until I have 500,000 gold, which is ridiculous. Why can you raise the value of one so much faster than the other one?
The level 5’s all have great affinity, so I never see the low levels to send them on quests or missions, and when I actually get them in to buy something I’ve sold it all to the level 5’s who came in first.
So I’ve tried the only thing I can do, refusing to sell anything to the level 5’s, meaning I make no money for many many days as they all come into my store exclusively. However, even at the lowest affinity they keep coming into my store demanding items.
At this point they are openly rude and it’s not any fun selling anything to them, or even trying. I just hit refuse 9 times a day and wish I could actually be doing something in the game instead of just spinning my wheels.
I could craft stuff, but I need money for more resource bins, but I can’t get money because I can’t sell anything when I’m refusing everyone.

Topic: Swords & Potions 2 / Your opinion on Swords & Potions 2

I like this game a lot so far, and so do most of my friends (who are now town mates.) But we all have a problem with the extremely high gold costs for some items. Such as the item that keeps out low level adventurers costing 500,000. We upgraded the town really quickly and have the problem of having too many customers and not enough interesting items to sell them.

Topic: Swords & Potions 2 / Suggestions and Ideas

This is kind of a weird suggestion but hey why not post it anyways.

I would love an ability to turn a town private or, barring that, remove the auto-kick time. I started the game and randomly joined a city. Not knowing much I invested in the city, then invited some of my friends to join and we all put money in. Now we have nice prosperous city going and tons and TONS of money/items/people invested in it. But I’m worried that someone may stop playing for a few days and then get kicked from the town. It’s not a huge problem if we have open spots, but being a random town we don’t always have them. I’d just like some way to ensure I can keep playing w/ my friends even if someone is slacking, without having to start a whole new town.

Topic: Anti-Idle: The Game / Automated "Save file" backup for windows 7 users

Edited my pastebin to remove the day so that it sorts automatically.
Have a couple of things to add for people using the script.
1. THIS DOES NOT WORK FOR CHROME UNLESS MODIFIED! You must make changes to the script, or to chrome to use this backup successfully if you play Anti-Idle in Chrome. I will see if I can make a Chrome version in the near future.
2. This only works if the backup script is on the same drive as your flash cookies (Almost always this is the drive that has your Windows folder on it.)

shynthrlir: Your script will only work on your computer and on that installation of windows. You removed the part that automatically detects the flash cookie dir.

Topic: Anti-Idle: The Game / Speedrun - Formal protest against removal

My first though when I saw that announcement was “Aww, I was having fun with that.”
Then my second thought was “But I hardly ever play it, so I guess it won’t be a big loss.”
My biggest problem w/ it is that I will lose my daily streak and stuff, and the progress I can make in my main savefile is much more than in a speedrun file. And I had no idea (besides quests) what the point was.

Topic: Anti-Idle: The Game / Easy Badge - Purchase Battle Arena

I had to check my calender to make sure it wasn’t April 1st.
I don’t think this is bad, I was just blindsided by three years of “this will never have badges” and then getting a badge.
Hey, I’m all for 5 points, a badge, and an entry for a game I love and play anyways.

I love Icy Gifts 2, played it 100% before badges came out. By the logic in this thread should I have been pissed about it getting badges? I don’t get it.
