Topic: Games / Platform Racing 3.0 ideas

All I really ask for are blocks that move on set paths that you can stand on, like floating platforms in a videogame, and blocks that move in a set path that hurt you, like fireballs or something. And also it would be cool If one particualr type of block came in different colors, like having a blue and yellow finish block or a red push block. A new item for an item block, key, would be cool to open door blocks or something.

1. And I’m pretty sure none of the above will ever happen, but on the slim chance this does get e-mailed to jiggmin, which is privacy abuse and spam, please seriously consider the above in the making of future platform racing games. # #

Okay, so I used to be addicted to this game called platform racing 2, but I have played that forever and am looking for something new. I’ve played it for so long, I even ended up making a joint account & making 2 hit levels… but now I am kind of tired of it, and until platform racing 3 comes out, I was wondering If anybody knew a good multiplayer game where you can make your own levels, or just a good multiplayer game on or off kongregate that is free… Thanks for any help/ input, have a wonderful evening…

I am going to post the info, Uzu and plat. Blarg: try to get into all time best with 750 + plays. Ugly: I’ll check them out, which one is your best level, in your perspective. I’ll give you some critique. EDIT: I checked out your level, uglymc, and I liked both of them. The only thing i REALLY didnt like, the fact you repeated that some people were gay in your levels, and that in the begginning of the lost level, you take the people’s hats and they can’t get them back.

Hey there everybody, I’m Jodediah2, and I am a pretty famous levelmaker on platform racing 2. I also teamed up with Darthjavo, who sadly is leaving us, to make a joint account: Darthjode. I alone have 2 levels in all time best, and Darthjode has 2 levels, one of which is on all time best, and the other has OVER 2 million plays, more than 2 levels on campaign and also more plays than the famous Jail Break, on all time best by The_Racer. You may be wondering, with all this success how to make a good level, and I will tell you. If there is anything not listed here be sure to ask.

1. First off, one of the main things that make a level good are block placement, and art. These are the 2 main factors in having people enjoy your level. Don’t worry if you are not perfect in either, you will get better, especially if you practice.

2. Certain element make your blocks good. Some people blockspam, or take one block and scribble all over the screen. Not good. Make sure your level requires good stats: speed is often the highest for most people’s racers, so if your level is flat or does not require a higher jump stat, people with high speed will dominate. moving on ice and swimming require a high acceleration stat. The jump stat is pretty self explanitory. Basicially what i am trying to get at is that your level needs to have jumps, swims/ice, and straightaways/1 block high tunnels.
3. Helpful information regarding the above paragraph: You can jump a 1 block obstacle with 0 jump minimum. 2 blocks is 13 jump minimum. 3 blocks is 31 jump minimum. 4 blocks is 46 jump minimum. 5 blocks is 56 jump minimum. 6 blocks is 68 jump minimum, any more than that is ridiculous.

I am level 27 so I have a few more points than you, but basicially:

1. Newbieland, Mario Bros. Remix, Zerostar, Razor Blade, maybe Candyland: Speed Highest. Acceleration lowest. This is because these levels take a lot of running, with non- demanding jumps.
2. Soul Temple, New York City, Hat Factory, maybe Candyland: High jump, Medium speed, low accel. This is because these levels have many jumps that require a high jump stat.
3. Blacklight, maybe Candlyland: Balanced stats, with a slight tip toward speed. This is because these levels require different stats in different situations, so even is better.

7. 46 jump or higher can clear a 4 block high wall.
8. 73 jump or higher is very useful on Candyland in Licorice Caves, Waffle mountain, and steep incline at the end.
9. Acceleration affects swim speed and speed on icy blocks, along with the obvious acceleration.
10. 100 speed is very useful, especially on Newbieland, Mario Bros. Remix, and Razorblade.
