It would be nice if lower level MERCs would get an additional xp boost, if higher enemies are defeated.

[For example, my level 10 MERC get`s the same amount for experiance as my level 49 MERCs if a level 50 enemy is killed. This way it will sadly take me forever to get him/her to a level where he/she is useful :( ]

I believe it`s only normal that you can`t shoot a minigun efficently if you`re a sniper. ;-) Ok, I agree that it would be realisitc that guys can pick up every weapon they want to, maybe I simply like the idea of classes and that you can skill your guys towards the weapons they should shoot. It`s just my fault that I thought that 3 snipers and 1 guy with a assault rifle is a great setup… at least it was in the beginning… ;-)
I somehow still hope that I don`t have to set back 1 of my snipers to their beginning level and that they will let us recruit different guys once their contact ended… with a merc at level 47, having him reset to level 8?! would be a HUGE blow…

Right now I am actually doing level 45 and I finally do make money again.
Repairs usually are 1200 – 1500$ [2x repair kits (1232$)+ x] for me, heals are 1200-1400$ [2x trauma kits (800$) + x], which is ok now.
.
But on the other hand, grinding myself up with 13.500$ per mission (minus healing troops + repairing equipment —> approximately 10.000$/mission) while looking at 210.900 for the upgrade for the storage room level 5 and interior which cost 105.500$ (NRA Gun Locker), 110.900$ (Large Lockers), 56.800$ (Pharma Locker), 116.300$ (Tool Cabinet) and 73.000$ (Football Cabinet), prices do seem a bit steep for me…

Another thing I realized:

Uncommon or epic weapons/armor seem have worse stats (at least in damage output and durability — accuracy, range and aim gain do increase) than common ones. Is this intended?
I thought that the tipical order for items in all stats in games was:
junk < common < uncommon < epic < rare
.
For example, I just found a “junk” zavasta M93 (Durability 100, Damage 104, Accuracy 66%, Range 13-20, Aim gain + 10%, Interrupt bonus 2),
bought a “common” zavasta M93 (Durability 152, Damage 95, Accuracy 66%, Range 12-20, Aim gain + 14%, Interrupt bonus 2),
and a “uncommon” zavasta M93 (Durability 132, Damage 90, Accuracy 69%, Range 11-20, Aim gain + 15%, Interrupt bonus 2).

After the warzone Shiar was over, I got 50 gold as a reward. Therefore I had 65 gold. Now that I completed (37) Hole on the ground, I should have 70 gold. But I have only 20.
I don`t know if my other reward (10 warpoints + 3??craftkits) got taken away as well.

Short list on my suggestions:
.
- daily log in reward in dollar going slightly up every day, tiny gold reward of 5 gold on 7th day
- melee/granades
- harder search & destroy pvp
- either more cash reward or less rapair costs/higher repair chance
- being able to see if there is somebody currently looking for someone to fight with in the battleground.
- make the chances higher to heal/repair successfully
- after sending a private mail to somebody, keep the “w/…..”. Copy & paste works well, but it would be kind still.
- enable us to exchange stuff between our mercenaries during the missions for AP (e.g. 2AP).
- make it possible to exchange MERCs after you hired them. (I thought that mercenaries are hired for a period of time so as to do their job. Once they are done, you should be able to exchange them – without loosing all of the levels gained with the mercenary you played for days)

[The last point actually bothers me a bit because i can hardly finish a game with a silver star anymore, because I have 3 snipers and 1 gunner and I can`t get the critical and headshot achievements because I lack a commando…]
.
Besides, GREAT game and a more than worth successor of the Jagged Alliance series! Superb job!!!

After reading all of the comments, i would like to give my few cents to it.

1) I agree on the distance and weapon range. This would be helpful. But on the other hand, you will get a feeling for the weapon range with time… therefore it`s not that needed… and it wasn`t needed in the previous jagged alliance franchise either. For a reason i guess. Personally, I think that handling your right weapons range and therefore its ability should (!) require some skill!

2) I disagree with the AP roll-over. This would basically result in unfair pvp-battles. Everybody would camp at their given location on a large corridor and simply wait for the enemy to come up, and put these +AP points to use.

3) I disagree on pistols being to powerful. I am against a tone-down of pistols! They are the only weapon that keeps my snipers from being mowed down if the enemy mercs move in. Optimum and minimum range is usually gone within a round. People will get to know this problem later in the game, when every enemy carries high armor (even on the head).
P.s.: SMGs still do a heck load of damage… it`s not every single bullet that counts, but who cares, if you can fire 15 at once at a guy (plus you will get a LOT of headshots, which pistols won`t be able to provide —> good for gold medals. Bad for players who don`t have a commando within their ranks)?!

4) Realisitc movement costs would make missions take forever. Please leave it the way it is. It was fine this way in the former versions of the game and it is still fine now.

5) I remember that there used to be knifes, machetes, hatchets etc. in the games predecessors. It would be great if we could use them (maybe by making the pistol skill a pistol/melee skill since both are short range weapons).

6) @ Kirbopher, you can easily see if the enemy MERC has armor on. Health = red bar, armor = blue bar. Usually e.g. gunners have more armor than e.g. snipers.
You can also know what kind of weapons and armor the enemy will wear on the next mission you are about to take by taking a look at the missions info…. If a missions says that MERCS with a level between for example 43 and 45 are required, it is highly likely that the enemy will wear weapons and armor according to this level, meaning weapons between 43-45. If you mess up on a mission, you are also free to play it again. The only differance is that this time you will know how many enemies there are and what type of enemies to expect….

7) I believe that weapon skills MUST be required to use a weapon. It`s just realistic. And it gives the game more dept if you have to carefully choose what MERCS to have on the next mission. There are 7 possible slots for MERCs. That should be enough.

8) I agree that it would be nice if melee weapons could be attached by crafting to guns. But then, on the other hand, i believe they would become too powerful… shortening the distance between a sniper and yourself wouldn`t help that much then…

9) A daily reward for coming back to the game would be nice. Maybe you could get 1000 Dollars on the first day for coming back, 1200 on the second, 1400 on the third, 1600 on the forth, 1800 on the fifth and 2000 on the sixth. And on the 7th day you would get 5 gold. I think that would be enough to be a teaser for the players to come back and still too less to gain masses of gold quickly… 20 gold a month if you log in every single day for a month doesnt seem to be that much concerning the in-game prices.

10) I believe that the repair costs take up too steep, too. Right now, I`m burning up felt 25% just for the repair of used weapons… not even talking about armor. Maybe a plus of 10% on the top of the missions`dollar reward would make these costs easier to bear.

11) I disagree with the suggestions on vision. If I have low preception (meaning if i dont wear my glasses and dont sharp my senses) it would be very hard to know where the guy was who just shot at me… I prefer this version instead of just being hit without a feeling for the player from where the shot came from.
If your vision is low and it affects your MERCs skills, then put points into it. So did and do I. If I put points into perception (and stealth), I did this for a reason. Which is not to be easily spotted and to spot others earlier. Of course I dont have that much health etc. which your MERCs have (because you invested your skill points on other abilities). In my point of view it`s just fair and only adds to the dept of the game.
Personally I like a game with a challange in which you have to think about what you do and how you skill your MERCs!

Why would you say something like “Seal is an inspiration to us all (…)” then? To redicule the honest players even more?

Please (finally) add the following:

1) The game needs some BADGES so as to make players stick to LOTS longer. I feel that more and more players stop to play this game actively. Getting badges for it would make it more intresting for players to play it and attract new players, too!!!

2) Server time being shown on the profile/homepage (like in DoD).

3) If you cannot implement a “raid all”-button, please at least make the “loot” and the “claim” button lap over eachother (e.g. in the position of the 3rd raid of the top 3 completed). This way people won`t get tired and actually QUIT the game because they are tired to click “loot” and “claim” for half an hour just so as to clear the raids!!!
I am level 1012 so far, I always liked the game, but I find it more and more tiring to play this game and to actually hit a lot of raids, because my wirst HURTS after clicking these 2 buttons for 30 minutes each day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I reduced my playtime due to this, and will eventually even take a pause from the game since it is so time-consuming and really! hurting my wrist after a while.
Why don`t you apply the same loot-structure like in your great DoD, so that people at least have the chance to get an autoclicker, which can loot the raids for them, while they e.g. do the dishes etc.?

4) Please add a “turn off glow” and “turn off animation” option in the game so as to make this game more playable on PCs that are older. This feature would greatly (!!!) improve the ability to play this game without lags!
Maybe this could be done by rightclicking onto the game → quality → low, medium, high, turn off glow, turn off animation.

Please take (especially the third and fourth part) into consideration! I really like this game and I obviosly spent a lot of time to get to where I am right now, and I really like that you update the game so often, but I do feel that I will pause playing this game because the loot function is really THAT annoying.
And again, please get some badges to confront the phenomena that the active player base is shrinking and so as to get new players on board, too!

Topic: CS Portable / Mouse isn't working...?

I had the same problems. On the PC my mouse was working. When I joined a game, all of a sudden the mouse freezed, I could not look or turn around anymore (all i could do is go forth, back, left and right). This just happened when I tried to play this game.

How i solved it:
1) I deleted all of the cookies
2) I reinstalled the unity player

Now everything works just fine. :)

Hahaha… is this a very late 1. april joke? One can level up up to 4 / 5 times a day. Your suggested model would mean that I`d get 20 to 25 golden suns a day – just from levelling up. Only 1 month later I would have 600 golden suns…
Tell me the business model for this game, then!!!
Think first, then suggest! The game is almost perfect the way it is – at least for me! Though there a quite a good suggestions in this thread and sometimes I wished that the devs would actually comment on them or actually realize them.
Sometimes I wonder what this topic is good for……… :/

P.s.: But I would support a mothly 10-20 suns if one does log in every single day for over a month as a, well, achievement.

I`m sorry to criticise, but this is the first time that I have the feeling that this game is going into the wrong direction. A direction where only heavily paying people can keep up with. Until now that – to everybodies joy, I believe – wasn`t the case. A certain balance was maintained. My criticism is, that it seems to me that this newly introduced world raid is a desperate try to make cash.

This says it all:
1) 72 hours – instead of 100
2) 5b damage for the best possible loot – instead of 1b
2) stamina only – instead of stamina + energy + honor
3) no tactics – instead of 8 (?)

Personally, I spend 5 syringes so far and gained 6 levels and I just made 440m, although I am level 594, have 1297 stam, with a fairly good attack (7081), equipment (dragon knight) and ship (3339 power).
All summed up, I only do 1m damage in average.

If I think it over, this means, that I have to buy 50 more syringes, resulting in 400 suns more to spend – and all this just to get the 5b damage. Don`t you think this is a bit…… overpriced? Don`t you think this raid is a bit TOO BIG for kongregate so far?

P.s.: Why don`t we (or will we ever get) General Skorzeny on kongregate?
I still love the game and appreciate the huge effort you continously put into this game, but I favoured the old worldraid-type… I (and I believe many more) would`ve been happier with a stamina/energy/honor world raid – 5b is still quite a challenge for 98-99%, especially if there are no tactics!

You play everyday for a month, you get 25 Golden Suns for FREE. That doesn’t even count the actual ones from leveling or the shipyard. I`m level 499.
My intention is not raving, but to make this game better (more ingame-value for players, more cash/income for developers). Read my post again and you will surely realize this.

Other suggestions:
- Alliance wars and -missions [as others suggested already (being obtainable once you joined an alliance)].
- The ability to arrange items not only by “main hand”, “off hand”, “helmet” etc., but also by “set”.

Dear developers, may I suggest something else:

In order to bind people longer to the game, what if we get a special after we played this game every day – for a month?!

This could be stat points (not too much, not too less, maybe 20?!) as well as golden suns (maybe the max of the shipyard x2 = 6 golden suns) or maybe even both (!!!!!!) so as to make it a real desireable thing to achieve.
This way the players would surely come back to the game more often, plus you would get more active (long-term) players playing the game, therefore resulting in more hits of the game, thus leading to more income for YOU from advertisements as well as from players buying suns!

What do you think about it?

I’m sure that this would be highly appreciated by the kong-community because we on kongregate seem to complete quite a lot of raids per day – those especially do so who are high level-players.

I whole-heartedly support this idea! Most people have to go to work or school and it would come in very handy for them!
(I just fear that the devs will not adopt this great idea because they get some money from the advertisements which are shown if a player logs in… and I guess that log-ins would become less if this idea was to be realized).

I`m personally totally against this suggestion! Why?

- The 1st one is too complicated, I prefer the way it is nowadays.
- The 2nd is completely irrealistic since high level players are in more than 100 raids (I guess I`m in 300). We surely don`t want to come back and search for the raids we hit hours ago so as to make optimal damage or even save raids then.
- The 3rd one is a good idea, exept that this would totally drive newly started players away (ragequit!!!) if on every second raid they click a message pops up which says: We are sorry, but your level is too low to participate in this raid.
I shoud add that taggers usually never (!) bother others since just very rarely the max. people count for a raid is reached. Tagging is just bad for 10 people raids!!! But it really doesn`t matter that much in other raids!

By the way, did you realize that this game is totally free (!) and that the developers have to rely on making money with impatient people like you who will evenutally buy suns in order to level up faster?
Having said this, your suggestion is good but you fail to see that it (would take the challange away and, which is the most important) is doomed to failure because of simple economic reasons.
Just keep playing the game, if you achieve something hard after some time has passed, you will truely feel happy. :) And if you are unpatient, well, in that case: buy some suns and hereby support the developers! ;-)
