This very same thing happened to me awhile back, I rage-quitted though.

The way I beat the game without premium was really simple, for the first half of the game build light carrier docks to win, nothing else needed, after that I built nothing but fighter bays along with a few of the building that boosts production speed, with any number of reactors to start out with, depending on the level, some levels also require some fighter bays producing something besides a basic fighter, but essentially hordes and hordes of fodder flowing from your base is the way to win, also on 1 or two levels a line of 5-10 barricades and a few double blasters was required while I built up fighter bays.

When artillery pieces come in before I have a bunker I just run past them and advance, of course I do that anyways until I get a bunker. :)

Topic: Legacy of a Thousand Suns / Fusion Crystals from PVP

Fusion crystals add extra attack and defense stats to your equipment.

To use the, go to the profile tab, click on ‘fusion depot’, then select an item, go to ‘slot’ tab and change it to fusion crystals, select one of them and click ‘fuse item’.

Green, brown, grey, blue and purple crystals are fairly week, it’s best to fuse them into orange crystals at the lab. Orange crystals are the second best, red crystals are the best but very hard to get.

P.S. to make orange crystals in the lab go to the general tab and it is about half way down.

Topic: Legacy of a Thousand Suns / IDEA MARKET

Anything that will create a late game money sink has to not be overpowering or abusable. My proposal is a new menu where you can buy ship upgrades that affect all ships. These upgrades add things like stat multipliers to total ship power and such, they can bought in infinitely stacking levels, HOWEVER, each level would go up in price geometrically, creating a soft cap.

An example of one such upgrade would be armor plating/shield generator research, which would increase total defense points of officers and crew by 5% each level, perhaps starting at 100,000 and increasing to 150k, 225k, 337.5k, etc. At that geometric rate of 50% increasing cost, level 20 would cost 221 million, and level 30 would cost 12 billion.

Topic: Mud and Blood 2 / Mud and Blood 2 Badges Discussion

Now that I actually read the first post in this thread, I actually formed a tear of joy.

You see in the middle of his rant I suddenly remembered the video about Hitler and MnB2 and what not, what I remembered was his line about how this game was supposed to make people whine about the unfairness of the game on the forums. I never thought that the line was serious, but now I realize this game’s most noble goal has been achieved with the recent what I shall dub the ‘brutal’ patch.

Topic: Sonny 2 / Bug completely halting my game, please help.

I’m going for the impossible badge as a psychological character, I just finished the Ivory Line train, and the very first enemy in the Labyrinth (Tunnel Beast) is doing what appears to be an attack directly after the talking before the battle, except no attack is made, and the ring at the bottom is stuck at orange forever, I am not allowed to make a move at all and have found no way around this. I’ve tried the next battle and training fight options, with and without canceling the talking before the battle, it gets stuck all the same.

Any help or advice?

Topic: Mud and Blood 2 / Our fears have been vindicated, the Wespe Blitz is real.

I personally didn’t take the possibility seriously, so it took me by complete surprise, now, without further a due:

There were actually 6 of them, but one was killed by my tank.

Yes this is a hard game LukeLuke204, but please try to express that by using the edit post button instead of the Reply to topic button.

Now that invincible bunkers and virtually any usefulness of bazooka soldiers have been eradicated, on top of the eradication of AT stacking, how are all of you reacting with your strategies?

The teleporting bunkers are still pissing me off! >:( They disappear completely soon after teleporting, but that’s only part of the problem.

The real bug is that recently my camnets have been outright disappearing for no reason! No explosion, nothing, they just vanish, it’s really jeopardizing some of my games!

Again, >:(

Topic: Mud and Blood 2 / Frenchies

Well I can understand why he likes frenchies.

Frenchies, perhaps coded as simple comic relief with their hilariously odd items dropped on death, or their colorful uniforms. And while they may not be very useful, they inspire commanders to wage war outside the box! I would make this rant longer but my imagination just crapped out, haven’t been using frenchies for awhile.

Tanks (and all vehicles for that matter) in MnB2 don’t really work like tanks in WWII, they aren’t powerhouses that command the battlefield, they are actually more like WWI tanks, they are very clumsy and only support infantry with minor firepower and a whole lot of physical presence, use them as such and they will be more efficient.

Summary without metaphor: Tanks don’t kill very well, they are only useful when added to big squads or used as meat shields when you don’t have a bunker.

Well that’s just fine and dandy but flamethrowers, tanks, and late game snipers disguised as ordinary German infantry will destroy that setup with terrifying certainty.

The only reliable way to make a frenchie more combat effective is lots of ranger training.

Topic: Mud and Blood 2 / Bunkers go away D:

Once in a two-hundred waver game 7 of my bunkers disappeared, they did so faster then I could rebuild them and that’s how I lost.

Edit: Actually it was a four-hundred waver game, I remember cracking a joke afterwards about how the Germans gave up conventional tactics and resorted to using magic against me.

Topic: Mud and Blood 2 / I just advanced... Backwards!

Didn’t think it was possible, honestly it looks like a game loophole did it, but I retreated backwards by one field. Here’s how it happened.

Wave 60, I have a good defense going, then a sniper Blitz hits me, I have 3 snipers but it’s still not enough and all but one gunner in my invincible bunker die. Then wave 75, I have a fresh gunner going to the bunker when a tank blows the bunker and the gunner runs away, but he started running while firing so the flee animation never kicked in, my guess is he (my last soldier) left the screen not registered as fleeing so I advanced, but I still lost him when he left.

Here is a screenie from after the ‘advance’:

Topic: Mud and Blood 2 / Cheap Reinforcements?

The fine line between a double bunker and invincible bunker I mentioned in my last post is the key to defeating Wespes actually. Also if you spread out your bazookas then they will have a better chance of hitting Wespes.

To get to the guide for the invincible bunker, (which is well worth reading) go to http://mudandblood.net/html/modules.php?name=Forums then go to the user made guide section, second page, and go to the thread titled “The Indestructible Bunker (Unheard of secrets inside!)”

It sux that mnb.net links don’t work directly. :(

The double bunker may not feel right but it’s the most surefire way to make your game a hundred waver, learn the fine line between that and an invincible bunker and you might be surprised how stable your defensive line will become.

Now as far as frenchies and their usefulness… Highly impractical, and they are completely useless by themselves. what I’ve always done is gave them a few ranger training sessions then made my gunners cease fire for individual waves, a little slow but it works. When you make them highly experienced they are actually very respectable troops, and (although I’ve never tried this) a possible emergency pool of TPs, since a 100xp frenchie will give you 8 TPs if you send him behind enemy lines.

Topic: Mud and Blood 2 / Zombie Blitz!!!

Since I’ve never seen this before I would like to bring it up, MnB2 needs a zombie blitz!

It’s very simple, about 20ish zombies come at you in a blitz, on Halloween only of course.
