Topic: Realm Grinder / [Suggestions]

I have an idea for a sort of “quality of life” upgrade as DivineGames likes to call it.

Name: Secret Teachings (or “Trophy Power” to fit in with Gem Power and Reincarnation power, not sure yet)
Desc: An ancient treasure chest, filled with ancient artifacts to help you on your journey.
Effect: Applies the effects of all secret trophy upgrades you have unlocked so far.

So… Abdicating in the late game, it’s kind of annoying for me to go back and click through leet, unitary, building hater, etc. Especially for those people that have every trophy unlocked, I can imagine that clicking through every single one is unnecessarily difficult. Why not just combine the upgrades into a single achievement that lists the increases similar to how Rencarnation Power does? Especially with the release of the new secret trophies coming up in the neutral research update, clicking through even more than there already are is going to be tedious.

Topic: Realm Grinder / Goblin's Greed formula?

Originally posted by didgeinator:

Hey guys, hope you’re all well.

I’ve just been wondering about how the new formula worked for Goblin’s Greed, which I’ve been playing around with in the past, and even for a first Mercenary build to rack up some Faction Coins.

The formula on the Wikia doesn’t seem to make any sense at all, because figuratively, unless I entered the formula wrong, I should be earning decillions of Factions Coins every casting (Clearly that doesn’t make sense. =p)

Formula that I found, as such:
round(ln2.8(1 + x))

I was aware of a hotfix done just recently, hence the question. Any help, ideas, or even comments, please, post ’em here.

Thanks!

I’m not at all sure where you got Decillion faction coins from… If you have, say, 1 dvg gems that would be ln(2.8*(1+1e69)) which is ln(2.8e69) which finally comes out to 155… Mavion is damn close to the equation as his formula comes out to 25,242 faction coins. I would guess 2.8 in that equation is variable, and ranges from a couple numbers.

Topic: Realm Grinder / New Expansion Idea: New Neutral Prestige Faction, New Achievements and Upgrades

Here’s my proposed changes so far.

First/Blood/Soul Debt of the Ettin cost 250,000/500,000/1m of all faction coins respectively instead.

Sacrifice: Destroy buildings based on your current buildings, and gain massively increased production based on how many buildings were destroyed for 15 seconds.

Equation: ln(buildings^2) = buildings destroyed
Equation: (1575% * buildings destroyed) = production

2,3: Legends of the Wyrd: Increase the production of Stone Pillars based on your current economy.
Equation: 2.5% per building * sqrt(assistants) * (ln(production))

Note on new 2,3: This would allow for amazing pillarstrike builds to hopefully surpass R20+. While some people may say that this is op, consider how little Stone Pillars have ever produced ever. If you do the math, say you have 35,000 buildings, 1e124 production, and 100 assistants (1e124 was the highest number my calculator went to) that would only be a total production increase of 3098% given that stone pillars are basically nothing in your economy (about .0000124% of my income in my run). The idea behind it is to surpass getting monastery hits in a Titan run, and to provide Druids and Faceless a massive source of production from one building, making them more viable late game.

It seems a bit OP. And few question about faction rules.
1.Does price after Sacrifice of buildings stay? Like you lose building but it’s price remains or does it get lower accordingly which would make it seemingly interesting option with 3.3 (Through it would require active play.)?
2.Does 1.1 multiplier decrease falls with sacrifice of buildings? And how it would scale with sacrifice? Would multiplier reducer stay along with price? Or would both fall?
3.2.2 – Linear fomula for mana per pyramid? There is like no more of such for long time. And while growth is quite limited (through if to include that multiplier decrease and all these other details it will end up as powerful mana regen boost) I must say that it might get bit too much because of…
4.2.3 – What? Spiritual Surge already applies to base assistants production as it boosts buildings from which assistants get their base value of CpS. Unless you mean that it would first hit buildings and then again it would again hit assistants separately making it’s power multiply by itself making it EXTREMELY powerful. Far more than it already is.

1. The buildings destroyed by sacrifice would remain relatively unchanged, but only because of the equation. Basically it takes the natural log of however many buildings you have currently squared. So if you had, say, 35000 buildings at one time, sacrifice would destroy 20.926 random buildings. If you cast sacrifice again directly after the first one, it would destroy ln(34,979.1^2), which comes out to 20.925 buildings. So it does decrease… but only slightly.

2. 1.1 multiplier scales with current buildings. Due to the equation, casting sacrifice would really not affect very much, but yes it does actually increase the cost multiplier if you just spam it. However you’d have to use sacrifice something like 100 times in a row to actually noticeably change the reduction multiplier.

3. It isn’t a flat multiplier. It has a diminishing returns if you plug some random numbers in. For example if you spent a day being neutral, that’s… 84500 seconds, and if you had… 3000 pyramids: that would be (3) * (ln (84500^2)) which = 68 mana per second. If you spent three days being neutral, it would only be 74.65 mana per second. It’s not a flat equation, that would be insanely op.

4. I’ve already had people say spiritual surge already applies to assistants. Basically my idea for this is to increase production of assistants by whatever spiritual surge’s bonus squared. I guess that seems op… but keep in mind, this is a post research build idea. There needs to be some sort of huge boost to production to get past those huge gem boosts.

Last note: I have no idea what’s up, but I can’t actually edit my post. Idk what’s up, but I don’t see any of the text when I click “edit” It just shows the title of my article. Once I get this figured out, I’ll implement some of the changes.

I don’t think sacrifice is a bad idea, but changing tax collection for that is a bad idea, maybe doing some modification to it so that it work as a faction spells would be a better idea.
It would need to give more than 2 mins worth.
We can easily get 2mins worth with tax collection with goblin central bank and that cost only 400 mana and with royal demand and central bank we can have have 2mins worth for 200 mana.
I think something fun that could come from that spell is a huge boost and than a penalty.
For example, 1 whole hours of production by using that spell, but because you sacrificed some buildings, assistants become angry with you and go on a strike for 5 minutes and the amount of times they go on strike would increase with each spell use.
Since assistants always do most of the production, it basically mean you will have almost no production for the whole times the assistant are on strike.

Yeah, much better.

We can only earn gems by abdicating and it should stay that way, if we could earn gems like that we would almost never need to abdicate.
It wouldn’t be so bad if all gems earned would be useless until we abdicate, but that would make that upgrade almost useless that way.

I was saying it would be “Increases the production of all buildings and assistants based on how many times you’ve reincarnated” instead.

I’ll make it more unique so it doesn’t replace tax collection.

I think you’ve misunderstood or I wrote it poorly. The gems you find with Thralls builds up in the same way your normal gems build up. It doesn’t make it so you automatically earn gems and you get to use them, you still have to abdicate to get them. For example, say you get 10 UVG gems from a lightning strike hit or something. This means that with thralls, you would get around 20-30 UVG more gems based on how many assistants you had.

At this point offline autocast would be way too much OP, so peoples need to stop asking for that.

Sacrifice is way too weak and changing a spell like that is a bad idea.

Cost of unlocking new upgrades set is way too expensive, it would be fine as long as we can afford excavations, but once we couldn’t that factions would basically be locked and unusable until we reincarnate.

Thralls is a bad idea, anything that let’s us earn gems outside of abdicating is a bad idea.

Legends of the wyrd would be useless since Spiritual Surge already applies to assistants, unless you mean giving an additional boost over that, if that the case it would be OP.

First off, spiritual surge does not apply to assistants. It says “increase the production of all buildings based on how many times you reincarnated.”

Second, I’ll change sacrifice around, I just thought it was an interesting idea.

Third, I can nerf the costs. Does 250,000/500,000/1m sound fair?

Fourth, please explain why Thralls is bad. It just allows greater gem generation to break through late game gem walls.

Topic: Realm Grinder / New Expansion Idea: New Neutral Prestige Faction, New Achievements and Upgrades

Foreword: This is my idea for a neutral prestige faction called The Ettin. Ettin are incredibly powerful late game powerhouses, offering both idle and active players upgrades that are well suited to helping get past some r15+ gem walls. Please note: if there’s an equation that says something like “5rt” that means “fifth root.”

Ettin: Ancient creatures full of untold mystical power who’s intentions are shrouded in mystery. They provide powerful upgrades to both active and idle playstyles.

After excavating 1200 times, and reincarnating 15 times, the “Ancient Being’s Quest” appears, which requires 100,000 spells cast in one game, 1 billion faction coins spent in one game, and 80 research points spent for each facility.

Ancient Being’s Quest: Greetings mortal. We Ettin value knowledge and patience above all else. To prove you are worthy of our help, show us your knowledge of spellcraft, faction coins, and research. Remember, knowledge is power. Yo’tun, Traveler."

Spells: Replaces “tax collection” with “Sacrifice.” Sacrifice: Instantly destroy buildings based on your current buildings, but instantly gain 2 minutes of production and faction coins. 425 mana

Equation: Buildings destroyed = ln(buildings^2)

First Debt of The Ettin: 10 million of all faction coins

1,1: World Former: Decrease building multipliers based on how many buildings you have.

Equation: ln(5rt(ln(buildings)))/22.5

1,2: Hand of Overlords: Increase the production of all buildings based on how many times you’ve reincarnated, and how many faction coins you’ve found this game.
Equation: (ln(faction coins) * (2 * (reincarnations^2)))%

1,3: Appeasement of the Gods: Each Hall of Legends increases the production of all buildings based on how much time you’ve spent being neutral and also increases your chance to find faction coins.
Equation: Production = (1% per HOL) * (ln seconds neutral)
Equation: FC chance = (ln HOL)%

Blood Debt of The Ettin: 25 million of all faction coins

2,1: Thralls: You instantly gain 7 assistants, and assistants become “Thralls of Ettin,” producing additional gems based on how many assistants you have.
Equation: For every gem produced, assistants generate a TOTAL of ln(sqrt(assistants)) gems

2,2: Aeonic Presence: Every ancient pyramid increases mana regeneration over time. Assistants gain increased production based on your current mana regen.
Equation: (.001 MPS ancient pyramid) * (ln seconds spent in this abdication2)
Equation: (12% * for every MPS)

2,3: Legends of the Wyrd: Spiritual Surge applies to assistants

Soul Debt of The Ettin: 50 million of all faction coins

3,1: Sidh Carvings: Increase the production of your most productive building based on the highest amount of royal exchanges purchased in one game.

Equation: .5% per royal exchange purchased

3,2: Omniscience: Increase the production effectiveness of all spells based on how many Alchemist labs you own
Equation: Increase the production bonus of spells by .0075% per alchemist lab owned. Example: Fairy chanting goes from x500 increase production to x612.5.

3,3: None Can Hide: Increase the production all buildings and assistants based on how many buildings you’ve sacrificed.
Equation: .75% per building sacrificed

Heritage: Ettin Heritage: Increase the production of assistants based on your amount of gems.
Equation: (ln(gems))% * 1.55

Bloodline: Ettin Bloodline: Increase the production of assistants over time.
Equation: (ln seconds this game)%^2.55

Achievements and Upgrades:

Secret Autocasting: Autocasting works offline.
Requirements: Autocast 175k spells in one game and have Planned Autocasting unlocked. Costs 700 ocd coins.

Pantheon of the Realm: Increase the production of all buildings based on how many times you’ve aligned with a different faction (mercs always increase this bonus by one).
Requirements: Align with every faction and alignment (including mercs) at least once in one Reincarnation. Costs 1 spd coins
Equation: (ln(alignments^2))*42.5%

Upgrade Grinder: Increase the production of all buildings based on how many times you’ve bought this upgrade.
Requirements: Purchase 5k upgrades in one Reincarnation. Has the same initial cost and growth as excavations.
Equation: 10% * (number of purchases this Reincarnation)

World Digger: Excavate 800 times

Galaxy Digger: Excavate 1600 times

Pyra strike is based on getting a lightning strike on Pyramids, since they have the highest base production after upgrades. Meaning it is WAY better to hit it than HoL. Where do you see that 100% production lies on assistants?

Sorry, I mistyped it. My point is that production of assistants does basically nothing for a pyrastrike build right? Why not take Titan Obelisk and wait for a Hall of Legend strike instead? I know it wouldn’t be pyrastrike then, but wouldn’t the rewards be about 4000% better?

Topic: Realm Grinder / Question About Pyrastrike

I had a question about the purpose of using “Professional Assassins” (Increase production of assistants based on how many royal exchanges made) on the pyrastrike build. All it does is increase production of assistants, when the entire point of the build is to get LS hits on Pyramids. Wouldn’t the production be much, much higher if you went “Titan Obelisk” (2.25% increased production for every pyramid) instead?

So I had an idea for a new ancient… You can get gold offline, why not get HS offline or Idle as well?

Kalpa: Ancient of Aeons. You are simultaneously terrified and awed by this ancient. Cid says something about it looking strange, you round on her angrily, criticizing her not being as helpful as she claims. After smacking you for your mean words, you both realize you’ve been standing next to the ancient for several hours without realizing it.

Rank 1: 1, 1 Hero Soul per 8 hours
Rank 2: 3, 1 Hero Soul per 4 hours
Rank 3: 5, 1 Hero Soul per 2 hours
Rank 4: 7, 1 Hero Soul per 1 hour

The time that HS are earned does not decrease past 1 hour. Past 1 hour, the amount of HS gained increases. Idk what a good amount is for how much it increases, so I’ll leave that up to the devs. You only gain HS while offline or idle. I’d love to hear what you guys think about this.

Kappa is an emote from twitch.tv that looks exactly the face of the Kappa turtle. Kappa was a popular twitch.tv admin, by chance someone found this picture here: http://i.imgur.com/4pJee.jpg and turned it into the Kappa face emote. Spend about 1 minute watching a popular stream and you’ll see this emote more times than you wanted to. TheDarkoko is unfortunately incorrect, Kappa does not reduce ancient costs.

Bobz has a point… could you clarify what it was you recorded? If you just look at “what’s my DPS when I reach level 150” then there’s lots of reasons things could look wacky, that’s not really a comparison that holds any meaning (like, at all)

You’d have to track several different elements from your point of ascension, and make sure they all match again in your next ascension before glancing at your DPS to see how it changed.

- Level of every Hero (and whether skills unlocked)
- Achievements (could adjust if you know which Achievements you might have… achieved, between your two measuring points)
- Gilds on Heroes
- Number of Dark Rituals used that Ascension (and whether any were (or were not, they all should be!) Energized, which since they stack multiplicatively, could cause discrepencies)

Anybody have other factors to point out, for anybody wanting to do a similar “experiment” ??

EDIT: Formatting

So, when I reset the last time I had no level 1k heroes (essentially a negatable dps buff without 1k at this level) and the only thing I recorded was my DPS at that level. Oh, btw, it should be level 140… not 150…

Anyways, even if I had a few extra or a few less frost leaf levels, I should have being at the LEAST a 70% DPS bonus. You make a good point, but I feel that having almost exactly the same DPS as the last time proves my point. It should be a noticeable DPS increase when I reset with 10 souls, even if my hero levels are a bit off, doubling your base DPS should at least be noticeable, but in this case it only changed by .04%, not even within a reasonable margin of my error.

Topic: Clicker Heroes / Souls Are not Accurate

So, I decided to do an experiment today with souls. Theoretically, ascending with 10 hero souls SHOULD give you a 100% dps bonus (10 * 10%), but, when I ascended with exactly 10 hero souls today at level 150, I recorded my DPS to see if it doubled. However, not only did it not double, it actually did not increase at all. My 17246S dps went to a whopping… 17252S dps, which is only a .04% increase.

I’m not entirely sure what went down here, but I know for sure that 17252S is not a 100% increase from 17246S dps.

like someone mentioned in the other thread, if noctus is the last hero, this pretty much equals +25% DPS boost, except it doesn’t help you kill bosses on time.

In regards to your first question, it applies after the cooldown reduction of your hero souls. So, 75% CDR and then 15% of that number.

In regards to your second statement, yeah, that is kinda OP. What would you suggest?

In regards to your third statement, I wasn’t planning on Noctus being the last hero, so the upgrade is (in my opinion) still viable.

I posted this on another thread, but what the hell. I’ll post it here too.

Noctus:

Desc: The very dark itself has awoken to help you in your quest. Noctus is a mere legend according to most, a bedtime story to frighten children, or a whispered tale told by moonlight in darkened alleys. But Noctus is real, his very presence causes enemies to suffer nightmares beyond their wildest dreams. Power like this does not come cheap, Noctus will work for you if you bestow some (most) of your riches upon him.

Cost: 1,500 O

DPS: 1,500 S

Abilities:

Level 10: Night-Terrors: Noctus’s Nightmares evolve into Night Terrors causing him to deal 125% more damage.

Level 25: Nightmare Chains: Noctus’s Nightmares now reach past your current opponent and cause the next enemy you fight to lose 5% (+.1% per hero level, up to 20%) of their maximum health even before you fight them!

Level 50: I Dream of Gold…: Noctus’s Nightmares now become a reality causing enemies to drop extra gold in fear (somehow this works). 25% increased gold.

Level 75: Fear the Dark: Noctus gains the ability to manipulate the dark itself, increasing his DPS by 150%

Level 100: The Nocturne: Noctus gains his long lost artifact, reducing the cooldown on all activated abilities by 15%
