Topic: CS Portable / Pitching our Plans for the Future of Critical Force Entertainment and our Games

Please do not leave out your loyal PC gamers although your main focus is on Portable eSports.

Our focus is obviously mobile-first, but that doesn’t mean we are going to ignore our options on other platforms. Our heritage was on the web (PC) and we won’t forget that.

Topic: CS Portable / Team Blood Contract Wins the Third ESL Kick Off Cup!

Hello Critical Strike Portable Players!

The third CSP ESL Kick Off Cup for the web version that took place last month was a great success! We’d like to congratulate Team Blood Contract for winning the third Critical Strike Portable Kick Off Cup!

Eight teams took part in the Cup and Team Blood Contract came out as the champion! The second place was taken by 4ngryPandas.cstrike and Team Pandemic got the 3rd. Each of the teams have been contacted and forwarded to the ESL support team to receive their 500 euros worth of Steam games. You can see the results of this Cup here

Team Blood Contract also managed to record a video of the finals, which you can watch over here

We are aware that CSP is not a perfect game and preparations of the rules/settings for this Kickoff Cup have been challenging. Nevertheless, we would love to hear everyone’s feedback and comments on the Cup so we can prepare for the competitions that we are planning to make an integral part of the CSP Sequel. We have therefore also reached out and invited the participating teams to be one of the first members of our community that will play our Sequel competitively before it is launched.

On behalf of our entire development team here at Critical Force Entertainment, we want to personally thank you all for participating in our 3rd ESL Kick Off Cup and thank you for being such dedicated members of our community!

I was in Pandemic Team in ESL, and our team got 3rd place of ESL.
Now, how to get prizes?

Did you contact the ESL support as was instructed?

“The top 3 winning teams will receive a bundle including 5 Steam keys of each game. The Steam keys will be individually distributed to the team members of the top 3 teams after the end of the cup. The winning teams will need to contact ESL support to claim their prizes.

Thanks for the feedback BloodContract!

This comes as a major surprise to us as well, as we were not made aware of these circumstances by ESL at all.

Luckily, you both demonstrated the proper skill to reach the top 3, albeit undetermined who is #1 and #2. Nevertheless, you will be receiving the same prize.

We’d like to remind you though that these cups were Trial Kickoff Cups, to see how CSP would hold in an organized competitive scenario. The results of previous cups have also shown that the game has too many flaws and was not properly designed to facilitate this. The ESL had to deal with this as well as a result, but it would be unfair to blame them for the game’s own issues that are hard to manage for any competition organizer.

We’d like to apologize for the inconvenience that you’ve experienced and we will make sure that you do receive the prize that is allocated to you. As for the final results of the competition, it really is up to you whether you are willing to replay the finals or not.

One of our team members has reached out to you personally by private messaging, so please make sure to check your inbox.

Topic: CS Portable / Happy New Year from Critical Force Entertainment and looking back at 2014

Happy New Year everyone!

Last year has been an amazing rollercoaster ride for Critical Force Entertainment.

We had to say goodbye to some old team members, we welcomed new talent to our crew and we moved our focus from supporting CSP to beginning our work the CSP Sequel.

Our Head of Studio Vlad had the opportunity to give a presentation on what our company went through in 2014 during the Casual Connect game conference in Belgrade, Serbia and we believe it might give you all a much better picture of the challenges we’ve faced and why we’ve made the decisions we had to make.

One of our goals for 2015 is definitely to involve and inform you all more about what we’re working on.

We will reveal more about our plans for 2015 in the next couple of weeks and we’re all very excited to hear what you think, so stay tuned :)!

To clarify. After a team of 5 people has reached the top 3 of the cup, each team member can redeem approx. 100 euros worth of Steam games (a list of Steam keys for each individual game) after contacting the ESL support after the cup is over.

Topic: CS Portable / Update: CSP Hacking Problems Fixed For Web Version!

The order of announcements obviously has caused some concern regarding the origin of the second hacking attempt and our initial reassurance to the community that the hacking was fixed after the first attack. Sadly the ongoing investigation prohibits us from disclosing any further details, even if those details would justify our initial messaging and clear our names after being accused of lying to our community.

We’d like to once again remind everyone that CSP is a two year old game that has a far from perfect codebase and exploits used by hacking software such as GameAnarchy are impossible to fix without turning the game inside out. Based on our extensive research and calculations, such an undertaking would require a huge amount of time and resources than actually creating a better game from scratch. The recently announced new team members are therefore responsible for the development of the CSP Sequel, while ongoing support of the original CSP is slowing being reduced and will eventually disappear on a date that we will announce early 2015.

Our own forums allow us to communicate with our entire userbase (not just our Kong users) much easier. If you want to talk directly and personally to our devs, it definitely is a better option :). There’s over 850 people on there already!

This is indeed technically the 2nd Cup that will take place, but officially the third cup on paper. The first was canceled back around July, the second happened on October 19th and the third was initially postponed because of the hacking attack at the end of October.
