Armani Farkas, Prime Minister of Hungary

Farkas stepped up to the podium quickly, very obviously in a hurry to get this speech over with.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, I will keep this brief.” he began.
“Hungary would like to extend condolences to the UK for the loss of their noble queen, and we wish good tidings to their new monarch. As I like to say, may his reign be…uneventful.” he said with a light laugh, but then the humor faded and he was business once more.
“To the United States I say congratulations on regaining their super power status. It’s nice to see them make a full recovery from the tragedy not too long ago.”

“As for the attack on Germany, I find this news to be very troubling on an international level, and I sincerely suggest we take some sort of action to determine the origin of the spies. As such I will be assisting Germany in any investigation they launch. Furthermore, on the topic of the recent revoltsin sub-Saharan Africa, I am open to any suggestions on actions to be taken in the future to rectify the situation. Thank you for your time.”

Neither, for that matter, did Hungary.

Armani Farkas, Prime Minister of Hungary

Farkas watched the proceedings closely. With the unexpected resignation of his predecessor, Farkas had been forced to quickly pick up the slack, and as such had barely been briefed on the current state of affairs as he had entered the room. Nothing had come as too much of a shock though, he had of course been keenly aware of the current standing of the world, seeing as he was the top choice for the position of Prime Minister second only to Mr. Vázsony of course.

He was considerably older than his predecessor, having lived into his early 50’s, and was markedly different in other regards as well. He was a much larger man, standing to be 6’2" and with considerably more muscle on his body, a byproduct of his time serving in the Hungarian military. His brown eyes no longer radiated the youth they once had, but one would be hard-pressed to say that they lacked a cold, calculated edge to them.

He wasn’t much for speeches. This wasn’t to say he didn’t like public speaking or anything like that, but most of the time he felt that long, drawn out speeches were a waste of time. He was a man of action who liked to keep things moving, he didn’t want to wait to talk about it. Of course one could then question his decision to delve into politics, but he honestly felt that he could do a lot of good for his country in a political atmosphere.

As the current speaker finished up their speech, Farkas decided that now was as good a time as any to introduce himself and cast his nations vote on the current matter, a seemingly good way to get everyone at home and abroad to the idea of him being in charge. Stepping up to the podium nonchalantly, he spoke.

“Ladies and Gentlemen of the assembly, allow me to introduce myself. I am Armani Farkas, and I have been chosen to fill the position of Prime Minister of Hungary with the recent resignation of the great Mr. Vázsony. His resignation came as a surprise to everyone, and though I am unaware of his reasons, I wish him the best of luck.” He paused for a brief moment to collect his thoughts and let the announcement sink in for a moment. The members of the assembly were probably already aware of his appointment, as it had been no secret, but it was always good to reaffirm.

“Now, on to the matter at hand. Simply put, Hungary will practice a policy of nonintervention in regards to Estonia, as we feel that this is a matter for the people of Estonia to deal with on their own. Thank you.” and with that Farkas simply retook his seat.

EDIT: I know it’s well past the 24hour period you left for veterans, but would you kindly reconsider? If not that’s okay…

@Bluji
TIW is fine. I don’t really mind, whatever you’d prefer is fine.

I mostly didn’t say much because I was (and still am) short on time, and using a phone for this sucks.
But basically, while there are others I would like to vote for and I don’t much prefer bandwagoning, lynching BC in my mind seems to be able to hurt the Mafia cause, and I’m not going to waste my vote when most of those who have voted so far have voted for BC.

Topic: Forum Games: Forum Games / [Community Related] The developous story.

Honestly, I don’t think this post was a good idea.
Don’t get me wrong I fully support the idea of getting everyone to ignore Dev’s posts and all, but I just feel like having a huge wall of text devoted to explaining why Dev is like he is is just the complete opposite of how we should be going about this.
It may help the new people of today, but as someone else pointed out, what about the new guys of tomorrow and next week? Are we going to direct them to this thread every time they respond to Dev? In my opinion calls of “Don’t feed the troll”, ironically, do nothing but feed them. I mean in an effort to get people to ignore him you felt the need to research everything you could about him and then post it all in one spot for everyone to see. You essentially fed him the greatest meal he’s ever had. Now he’ll never want to stop pestering everybody. I was hesitant to write this, even, because I honestly think the best way to help the situation is to not talk about it.

I may be in the minority here, but we don’t need a story of Developous. He’s just some guy on the internet who likes to annoy people, for whatever reason. In fact, I feel sorry for him now, and I’m sure I’m not the only one, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this newfound sympathy doesn’t go on to create more problems, with more people trying to reach out to him.

tl:dr In my opinion, which I don’t expect people to share, this post will not solve the problem.

I’d play War in Numbers, if only because it’s the closest thing to Nations of the World since that game unexpectedly died. It still sounds good on its own merits, though.

So, yeah, I’d play that.
