“all games can be done in hour or less”

…not if you have only just got to the level where you can start doing Endurance….

(…or if you are doing something crazy, like trying to make the largest gem you can.)

Yup. That’s partly what I mean by “chicken”, player_03…. I daren’t walk away after triggering Send All Waves—-I have to keep the mouse over the rising waves, just in case.

Random target?

I get nervous with anything less than a grade 30 killing gem to finish full-settings Endurance (amplified by at least grade-26 gems). It might be possible with a lesser setup, but I’d be even more anxious about triggering Send All-Waves, so I chicken.

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / Game Suggestion: Detailed Scoring

Looking back, I think that those of us who have played the game for a long while tend to forget what it was like at the beginning.

I’d like that display too.

I’ve more-or-less completed all the fields on Endurance, so I’ve started again with a non-Premium installation to see how well I can do with the hindsight I gained from doing Premium. So it would be nice to have a “history” of some sort of previous level-completions when I go back to a level and try for a higher score on it.

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / How to make Lv12 gems?

…or use grade-1 gems and combine 5 of one type, 5 of another, and 6 of the third (16 in total). That gives roughly equal proportions.

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / Suggested skill points at high levels?

I concentrate on mana-traps before even thinking of building a large kill-gem. Get the mana pool to 112M or preferably 224M first. But I am at a ridiculously high level now.

Ah… that’s true

“4.15 w/o nests, and 4.2 with nests”… really?

I don’t see that on my results sheet when I max out each time. I wonder which amulet I’m consistently missing—-it doesn’t show on the Battle drop-down when I check during the level, either.

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / Endurance Help Needed. Lots of small questions

Yeah… I didn’t understand the pylon instructions either, at first.

Set up mainly traps so the pylon doesn’t get fully charged by accident.

Aim to get all the Battle Amulets (except for Don’t Touch the Orb, of course) first, then pause and check your stats. Once you have more than (I think it is) 1651 killed, summon enough monsters down near the bottom of the list of monsters (so they will probably never appear) to summon exactly one less than the number killed. If you have far more than that number killed, you don’t have to be exactly one less—just so long as the number summoned is less than the number killed. You might need to kill a couplathree more monsters to juggle the numbers, and repeat the process.

Then make sure that none of your gems can kill any more monsters, and set them to Structures in towers to charge the pylon. Double check. And check there aren’t any flying bolts that will kill them when you un-pause. And check there are no monsters near enough to the orb to reach it before the pylon is charged

Un-pause and watch the pylon charge. Maybe pause and triple-check the numbers just before it’s charged.

Awesome, Gremlion.

I hate to say it, though, but two of the pylon fields don’t appear to be maxed out (G7 and D10) so you might even get to a higher level.

jtjames: I think the cluster of towers at top right is just to get that battle amulet.

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / Premium Version

I did try to get by without premium, but gave in finally…. The authors have put in so much to make this an awesome game, Premium is worth it just to show appreciation.

And it does make it possible to finish the game too, of course.
