Topic: Wartune / [Guilds] Guild Recruitment Thread

Fellow Wartune Player,

If you are a casually-competitive player who wants to join an open, friendly, and very active group of players … then please, allow me to invite you to TheSilent guild. (Server 1)

However, prepare yourself for a challenge, as the road ahead is unlikely to be easy.

Should you choose to accept this invitation, you will be joining an “underdog” guild that gives many of the top players and guilds a heck of a run for their money.

And we’re getting extremely close to toppling them off their pedestal.

We’re patient. We’re focused. Shrewd. Organized. Intelligent.

And far from weak.

Because of this, our guild members are constantly being invited to join “higher”, “better”, and “more powerful” guilds.

And yet … no one ever quits. If you join us, you’ll quickly realize that we are a very close-knit, supportive group of players that stand behind one another through all stages of the game.

Are you looking for a group to help you conquer the various dungeons in this game? There will often be a couple players around that would be happy to join you. Plus, you’ll get extra experience and stats from friendship bonuses for playing with a regular group of people.

Would you like a steady team to help you win more matches in the arena? Imagine being able to optimize your formation. Discuss your build, and receive valuable, useful feedback. Have a casual chat in-between matches, or while waiting on your cooldowns. Make fun of the people you just steamrolled, or that just steamrolled YOU

And above all … have fun! That’s why you’re playing this game in the first place, right?

However, this guild is not for everyone. As I said before, we’re not at the top, and quite frankly, that’s not really what we’re shooting for. Because being at the top is stressful. It becomes a job with endless grinding and countless hours sunk just to stay ahead of the curve … all the while feeling a silent force … a quiet pressure … constantly edging closer to you … threatening to overtake and engulf you.

Well, we ARE that silent force. We ARE that quiet pressure. Because we all play at our own pace, we do not burn out as easily. We do not get discouraged as easily. And we have a lot more fun!

For some of us, that pace is extremely hectic, as we have a fiercely competitive streak. We put in the hours. We put up with the grind. And we do whatever it takes to make sure we can always put a sizeable dent in someone’s armor.

For others of us, that pace is more relaxed. We pop in here and there. Do a couple dungeon runs. Check our farms and bounties. Participate in a world event. Try our strength at the arena. And call it a day well-spent.

And for yet others … well … their game starts to center heavily around the guild. They’ll be cracking jokes in chat. Providing useful links. Discussing music, drinks, work, and other random things. And these crazy guys and gals always seem to have an extra half-a-million gold on hand, to donate to the guild. (Where DO you get it from? O.o)

Still, despite our differences, each and every single day, we get a little stronger. We gain another level. Craft some better gear. Build up the guild. And mount ever more pressure on the top guilds.

Because we ARE catching up. Silently. Quietly. And very persistently. And if you would like to become one of us, please consider the points below:

1.) If you are a powermonger who wants to stay ahead of the power and level curve, then this guild is not for you. Trust me, you will feel more at home in ForceHonor, Matt Damon, ZionSparta, and some of the other top guilds. On the other hand, if you want to stick it to the top guilds, and help define the level curve those guys try to stay ahead of … join right in. ;)

2.) This is a fairly mature guild. Our chat is (mostly) clean. If your idea of fun is randomly spamming “P3N15” in any channel you can … this guild is not for you, and you will be kicked out, FAST.

3.) We are a very community-centric guild. If you are a lone wolf, please consider joining MetalWar, DragonLord, and other similar guilds. On the other hand, if you’re a team player with a strong sense of camaraderie, you will fit right in.

4.) We do not ask for, or demand, your loyalty. Instead, we earn it. You are free to leave at any time. Very, very few players ever do, though … We’re here for the long haul.

5.) In fact, all I ask is that you be reasonably active, pop into chat, and help out other members when/if you can. If you read this far, you should understand pretty well what this guild is about, and what kind of players you’ll meet within. As such, there are no minimum daily requirements.

6.) Having said that, if you’re only planning on playing once every three or four days (or less!) … then this guild is not for you. TheSilent is a fairly casual guild, but we’ve got a mean, competitive streak. ;) Keep that in mind.

In order to join, first, please get to level 16. You can get there in less than a day, and by that point, you will have a fairly solid understanding of the game, and what kind of experience you’re looking to have.

Then, add either tacoes, zraith, Lavencia, Renny, or myself (Suntix) to your friend’s list.

To do that, click on the heart-shaped button (“Friends”), click “Search”, and then type in whichever one of us you’d like to speak to. We’ll appear in your “Strangers” tab. Usually, at least one of us is around, so click the little chat bubble to the right of our name … and shoot us a pm! Tell us that you’ve read the forum post, a little bit about yourself, and the kind of player you are.

And then…

Well, if we think you’d make a good fit, and we have some space left … you’re in! ;)

See you on the other side!

Suntix

P.S. If you apply in-game, you will simply be referred right back to this page, and you will NOT be let in until we make sure you’ve read it.

P.P.S. In case you’re wondering, yes, we’re guild-battle eligible. In fact, if you check the rankings, you’ll see us right on the first page, moving higher and higher.

Thank you.

Mod Edit: Removed early-ending line breaks that extended this post to 300+ lines. If this was intended, PM me. =)

What 20 points are you looking at, KnowingEyes? O_O 2% of 8000 is 160. 2% of 9000 is 180. 2% of 10k is 200. And a lot of top players are hovering around the 9k-10k mark in stats. (I’m not even talking about HP). So it’s WAAAAY more than 20 points!

BunnyKing77, nowhere did I say that ForceHonor is bad, or paint it in an unfavorable light. If anything, it’s pretty realistic. Just consider this: the requirement to join ForceHonor, last I checked, is a minimum of 8.5k BR. All WE ask for is a basic understanding of the game (which you acquire by the time you hit lvl 20, for sure) … and a personality.

ForceHonor’s attitude, in general, is different from ours. ForceHonor recruits power, and focuses on acquiring more of it. I’ve actually sent quite a few applicants over there, myself, and have even offered some of my more competitive guild members to put in a word for them. (Except, no one ever wants to leave…) Floofy is a solid leader. He’s got my respect. And God knows I had a blast blitzing through some dungeons with KnowingEyes.

We may have similar goals, we simply go about it differently. TheSilent is newbie-friendly. ForceHonor is not. TheSilent IS an underdog. You guys are the #1 guild atm … and have the #1 BR player on the server … (Until Avenger pumps more cash into it or something.) … so I don’t know how well the term applies to you.

And being at the top IS stressful. I had a few runs with Ostre and Krystal from Ubiquitous … and they were both falling asleep at the wheel! But they kept plugging away at it, to make sure they remained at, or near, the top.

So where, exactly, do I paint ForceHonor in an unfavorable light? Or the other guilds, for that matter? I don’t say anything bad about them. I simply point out the differences in attitudes and goals, and, if anything, encourage players to apply to them if they fit in more with their mold than ours.

We may be on the same side, BunnyKing77, but we’re looking for different types of players. ;)

Topic: Wartune / !!! Dabblers Take Notice !!!

Glad you guys settled things. ;) We were all fairly excited at possibly merging with you guys, but I guess that’s not going to happen. My only turn-off about ForceHonor is how power-hungry the guild is — and how willing they are to kick out lower lvl members to make room for … well … you guys now, I guess. Plus they have very strict activity requirements, and if you don’t meet them, you’re gone.

Other than that, it’s a pretty solid guild. I know some people from there. Floofy is a decent (and intelligent) (AND handsome)(?) leader. Bet he offered to make you an officer there, too. _

Well, good luck to you and yours. Vyssil/YuelCarlo, hit me up in-game (Suntix) if you and your friend are interested in moving on to an active, competitive guild without any ridiculous daily requirements. (Just be reasonably active, respectful, pop into chat every once in a while, and help out when/if you can. That’s all. No minimum xp per day, no minimum contribution per day, none of that grind.)

We’re one of the top 30 guilds, probably moving to the top 20s either tonight or tomorrow.

And way to make it sound like we’re half empty, BunnyKing77/Lightning. =P We actually DON’T have a lot of room. Nearly filled to capacity. I was going to save some room for you guys when we lvled up, which would have opened up an extra 20 spots, plus a (precious) few we have open now. Still, if any of your Dabblers don’t make it into ForceHonor (most likely the junior ones, below lvl 28/29) … and they don’t want to sit around in a dead guild … feel free to send them our way.

My offer still stands.

Hope everything works out!

Topic: Wartune / !!! Dabblers Take Notice !!!

Oh, wow, guys. Really sorry to hear that. Was wondering why you were slipping through the rankings so fast. If you guys decide to stick it out and wait for the leadership elections, and change your name, then here’s a small pointer: guild names can only have 4-10 characters, max.

UnitedSwords, for example, is too big.

Redemption just fits.

So keep that in mind.

On the other hand, if you guys decide to start over … well, that’s really expensive, and definitely time consuming. Instead, I’d like to invite you all to TheSilent guild. We’re pretty close to Level 4, and as such, will have spots for 20-40 people if you decide to hop over.

We grow very slowly, as we handpick and interview our members instead of simply picking up anyone over a certain level. Because of that, we’re fairly close-knit, dedicated, and have a very active, (mostly) clean chat. We do dungeon runs of all levels, form up arena teams, do plunder beatdowns, discuss cool movies and music, talk about character optimization, make fun of each other in the Battleground … and so forth.

So rather than lose about a week’s worth of work, you’ll only lose a day or two while you hop over, and I’m not afraid to plunk down some cash to reflect the merge in our name. (QuietUnity?) Plus, you’ll hit the ground running in an already established guild that has a fairly solid, incredibly friendly, and carefully selected community. (No 1337 twelve year olds here!)

Just throwing it out there as an option for you. ;)

Whatever you decide to do, I respectfully wish you all the best of luck.

Cya all in-game!

Edit: If you want to discuss some details, or if you simply have some questions, shoot either myself, TeeSlay, or tacoes a PM in-game. (I’m Suntix in there, btw). At least one of us is around, almost at all times.

Topic: Swords & Potions / Looking For A Guild?

If you are an active player that plays this game at least once a day (or more) … and … you have at least 300 days under your belt (or you have hit fame level 50), then I would personally like to invite you to the Maorrant Magnus guild.

After kicking some serious butt in the last few guild challenges, we have finally bit off more than we can honestly chew … and we desperately need your help! So if you are up for a fight against some of the toughest guilds in this game, and are looking for a nearly hyper-active and extremely helpful guild to join (and contribute to), then you will absolutely love it here with us.

We are a closely-knit group of players that are looking for like-minded individuals to help us stay competitive in the guild challenges … as well as some projects to spend our points on.

If you like this game, and are planning to stick around, and this guild sounds like fun to you … then shoot me (Suntics) a message in-game, tell me a little bit about yourself, and I’ll see about getting you an invite.

Hope to see you on the other side! ;)

Topic: Call of Gods / If you are lvl 30+ and are looking for an active, supportive, high-lvl guild on Server 3...

If you're looking for an incredibly active guild with lots of helpful members ... then you definitely want to join TheSilent. We offer:

---regular boss runs (for equipment and valuable exp)

---help with arena (honor farming -- so you can get those insanely powerful purples/oranges)

---an incredible, supportive team (If you ever had a guild dissolve on you because neither the leader, nor its members were active .. you won't run into that here.)

---a somewhat ad-hoc, but functional trading system. (Some of us simply outgrow those blues and purples)

However, this guild is NOT for everyone.

First, obviously, is the level requirement. We only accept lvl 30+ applicants.

Second, we actually expect you to contribute. I watch the members list very carefully, and prune anyone that is not doing any alliance quests, not donating, or just plain not logging in.

And third, you have to be active in the alliance channel. If you have a question ... ask. Someone will answer it. If you are having trouble with a boss ... ask. One or two of us will help you out. If you want to know what the best unit/hero setup for your situation is ... ask. One of us will explain it to you.

And obviously, if you have no idea how an alliance works, then PLEASE ask.

However, we also expect you to return the favor. If you see a member struggling, please spend an energy point or two to help him out. If someone is not sure what to do, offer some advice to the new guy. And if you get a drop you're not that interested in, check if an alliance member wants it before you pawn in for copper.

If all this sounds good to you, and you fulfill the requirements, then here's what you have to do next:

In-game, click the little envelope icon near the left side. (Mail)

In the upper-right corner, you'll see a button that says, "Compose New". Click it.

In the "To" field, type in this name: "Suntix" (without the quotes)

In the "Subject" field, type in: "Alliance Application"

And in the body, tell me that you saw the forum ad, understand what's expected of you, and, of course ... that you want in!

When I read your application, I'll send you an invitation to the alliance. But here's the catch: you will be put on trial for 24 hours after your acceptance. If I, or the other members, don't see you in the channel, and if your rep remains at 0, then you will be kicked right out.

However, if you survive the "trial" ... then you ... are more than ... welcome!

And please ... do NOT delay! Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis, and we have VERY limited room. We just hit level 4, and spots are filling up fast. So send yours in right now ... or your spot will be given to someone else!

---Suntix

P.S. Do NOT apply in-game. Very rarely do I accept members from the application list. However, even if we're full, shoot me a mail, and I'll put you on the waiting list for when we level up and get a few more spots.

P.P.S. Newbies welcome. =) You don't have to be some kind of "pro" to join. The whole point is to have fun and get involved in the community.

Thanks for reading!
