We weren’t able to get an update in Friday night, so unfortunately, it will wait until Monday, but hopefully, we will have some more balancing getting in that build this weekend

Just to be clear, we want to make a game that everyone can play whether they pay or not. Yes, we need to get paid to continue developing the game, but at no point would we let the game get radically unbalanced by buying new weapons and armor or buffs. They are to add variety and options for a broader range of strategies, not to just make one player more powerful. AND, if one player does get more powerful, the teams will be weighted against him. Hopefully, that will be fun for the guy in the killer battle suit, and for the multiple guys fighting him.

Topic: Freefall Tournament / CHANGE RESPAWN PLZ READ

Everyone responds in a group. That is true. It is meant to help the team get together for a concerted effort rather than running off to die one by one. The total time also changes based on teams, so that a team down a man or two down will respawn faster to help make up the difference.

We should have a build up today getting the respawn off the space bar. Its being verified as I type.

We are testing the afk kick now. Should have it released tonight or tomorrow. It would be tempting to penalize players for going afk because it does ruin games… but I would rather wait to hear from the community

If you are experiencing any lag at all, please let us know…

Even the best wireless will cause lag in all multiplayer games, especial with Windows which pauses the wireless for a second every minute to search for new connections.

We are putting up a European server as we speak. We will try to get a few in Asia and S. America this month.

If you are having performance issues, go fullscreen with less resolution, and in fastest. It will be hard to run at a good frame rate without some sort of graphics card.

Balance is critical to the dev team. We have 12 Battle Suits each with 5 weapons that we are releasing slowly so we can balance each one as it comes. Each weapon has 3 tiers which effect rate of fire, damage, etc… but its only balanced in that the new maps will require higher Ranks and matchmake you with those of even Rank.

The 12 Battle Suits will also have multiple ranks with a unique appearance.

Unity crashing is our #1 priority right now.

We are seeing most of the crashing happening during or right after the load. IF it crashes at any other time, please email freefall@freerangegames.com. It really helps to hear about specific cases.

It happens to the developers now too, but only through Kongregate. Some of the devs reported having to reboot their computers to make the game play again. Sigh.

It doesn’t slow down the game, and hopefully, you will only be waiting like that once as the game is basically downloaded and installed. As most of our fans can agree, the download is really long for a web game. That said, its really short for a real game, and we made no compromises on visual quality and gameplay to minimize the download time for casual droppers by.

There are 2 guns for each Battle Suit. F is for F bombs. Q for special powers, and E for melee attacks, which are Suit specific.

The Armory is still in development and will include 5 weapons per battle suit and different weapon qualities for each of the 12 Battle Suits that will be coming out this year.

Every battle suit has 2 weapons. The first weapon is pretty straight forward point and click. The Gunner’s is the best in that it does the most damage, especially if you are using his Q ability. The Tech’s is the weakest, but his bullets bounce around corners. HOLD right click with any of the 1 guns to target lock. If you target lock, you will shoot a bit slower, but mostly hit with every shot, so for aerial duels, its essential.

The second gun for each battle suit is more class specific. The Tank and Scout have melee weapons. The Tank also has a small shield on right click that will completely neutralize threats from the direction his is pointing and it too target locks. The gunner has a sniper rifle that does better from long distances. There are no 1hit kills in Freefall, but headshots from the sniper rifle will strip a target of their shields and make them a sitting duck. The Tech’s 2nd weapon is a healing beam that can be used on friends and his turret.

Teams that win are generally teams will at least 1 Tech who knows how to use his healing.

Refreshing the web browser often helps. The game should load in under a minute. Fixing this is our top priority. If you can’t get in PLEASE come back tomorrow and try again.
