i wonder what happened? it’s friday the 13th, and i just had to restart my save, AND lost my achieves. is this a trick where i get the file back tomorrow, or is it gone for good where i have to get back my quest completions, battle arena, etc.? they changed it, by the way. now it resets all saves to the beginning, or at least, thats what happened to me.

there seems to be a problem. mandrom, on the systems page, does not have a link. normally, i would just edit and add it. since it has no edit, however, i have to ask one of the wiki editors to do this. furthermore, mandrom is listed under azuron, not under arrenius. please add a link to mandrom and possibly move mandrom to arrenius instead of azuron in the wiki. thanks!

This game is no longer on the front page, so it’s no longer getting many new users from Kong. I just hope that the existing users keep buying enough Flux to make this game profitable, otherwise it will slowly die off, mainly due to the PVP system and the resistance from people who don’t want it to change.

you forget, kongregate made a forum section JUST FOR THE GAME. forum users will notice, wonder what it is, and try it.

good idea, but it may need tweaking. maybe have a set percentage of the bounty amount go to the system for the convenience of setting the bounty? it would make sense to give the bounty posting system a cut of the profits, maybe make that part non-refundable. all in all, you have a good idea. especially since so many people have been tormented by certain pirates to the point that they want to leave the whole game. the only problem, you would have to make a reason. “just because”, well, that just isnt a good reason. make it so that person has had to have killed you recently in order to post a bounty. thats the only limit i can think of other than the “bounty station cut” idea.

Exactly right. You can’t outrun bullets, and you can’t win a fight when you can be damaged so quickly that by the time you even react you’re halfway to dead. Even if you started even, you’re at half health by the time you can counterattack so you’re bound to lose. It’s not a PvP system, it’s an ambush system. The defender never has a chance.

If they won’t limit PvP to opt in, then they need to change the structure to give the defender a fighting chance. Reduce the speed of hostile players so defenders have a chance to flee, and reduce the effectiveness of other ships to the weapons so it takes longer to kill another player. That way it’s a fair duel, not a bolt from the blue.

As it is, of COURSE PKers like the PvP system, they have all the advantages and none of the dangers! They can choose when they want to engage and attack without warning. It’s a griefing system more than a PvP system.

A couple more ideas: Normal safe zones (with the exception of warp gates) become hostile to hostile players, and will actually fire on them if they come close. They can only “do business” at pirate bays, and the prices are ripoffs. The prices paid for minerals are much higher, and everything else costs more. It’s the price for being limited to the black market. Also, hostile time is no less than a day. You either choose to PK that day or you don’t. If you decide to go hostile, you’re marked till tomorrow and can be hunted. Oh and PLEASE make red names have red arrows on the radar.

Make piracy a choice that comes with as many drawbacks as it does advantages and you’ll see a lot less trolling behavior.

good job explaining what already exists. those who go hostile have timers on when they can go back, they can only HEAL at a pirate bay, not land and do business, and on top of that, they cant heal in a normal safe zone, even though they can land. all skills are still available because they WANT pirates to exist. they dont want the people to think “HEY EVERYONE! PIRATE TO KILL REPEATEDLY TO MAKE THEM NEVER WANT TO PVP AGAIN!” they WANT pirates to balance out the fact that this has coop and pve. besides, have you ever gone into a system and seen everyone just sitting there harvesting? it translates to pirate bait.

agreed. it already appears borderline pay-to-win, so why make it even more so. the fifth crew slot, by the way, is flux payment only. 1k flux for the last crew slot. that means all the pay-to-win players will have the last slot and the free players will be left with a single slot left unfilled.

says the griefer who has an interesting but flawed opinion. i also noticed you have only 2 posts, is that because you have only forum posted those two times? regardless, pvp is fun as long as you have cargo protection on. reason is, you have nothing to fear by dying. consider the fact that you can get cargo prot before whining.

You’re saying Tukkun should waste his time implementing something because you’re too lazy to take 20 seconds to multiply the number of times you can harvest a tree by its harvest value?

some plots give more than others, due to plot exp. would it not be kind of tukkun to give us an automatic calculator of the total harvest value so we would not have to manually add each tree individually? after all, the trees don’t just vary in the duration, the harvest values are approximate for more complexity. that is why i would like to suggest that tukkun make a calculator in the garden so we can see how much we get. it would help when planting long duration trees by allowing us to see how much we can expect to see from the crop.

also, i only ask for the SINGLE HARVEST VALUES, and not the FULL HARVEST VALUE TOTAL.
