Random also got all 60 stars on DJM in the first night of the tourney.

You have actually made quite a good game. It gives me an
online platform to express my creativity. I will always return to this thread when I am
under the weather.

I think I was finally able to decifer the
coding that your presented in your previous message. While it was very tricky, the solution comes
with the simple idea of giving every letter a
unique number value, from one to twenty six. Then, by adding these numbers you get a
total, which is a square number. This square number, square rooted, gives you a new
unique total, which is used by adding it the previous totals. If all is done correctly
dividing the new total by the original total should give you the same number every time, and that
integer is 11. Yeah, you were tricky, but not nearly
devious enough to get by me.

How exactly does changing your avatar keep Kongregate safe?

Security Gourd is there to show the users of kongregate that people with their safety in mind are always watching, and are willing to assist at any moment when a user is in pear-il.

And we’ll make fun of the people without security gourd. So being security gourded yourself makes you safe.

Sir, we need to talk. How’d you like to join us Gourds? You seem capable enough, but you must be willing to change for the better.

Also I am incorporating some suggestions. i.e. making the levels come a bit quicker / faster paced. And adding a very small amount of easier pieces mixed into harder levels.

I experienced a floating blue block on level 6 on the top row or so. It did interact with the other blocks.

Made a fair few mistakes, but I think AU knows something I don’t. :)

wave 1 good, wave 2 good, wave 3 Improved by bouncy bullets, wave 4 good, wave 5 you waste more time than you think chasing any blobs – that was big while I played, wave 6 interesting how you optimized the start, wave 7 the optimization seems like it’d backfire here & you need to run straight at your targets when the beams narrow meaning reduced precision – the spread gun seems better – the sweep you make should be as circular as possible or you’re chasing the flying blobs & the part with the beams down can be optimized with bouncy bullets and ultimately by incredible luck!

This stuff’s just been ticking away in my brain. I wonder what this next round will be like.

Thanks AU. I did find the bouncy bullets trick on boss 3 but wasn’t able to get a better score with it. Your use of bouncy bullets on the second section of enemies on boss 7 was brilliant, I should have spent more time trying to optimize that part.

This is constructive competition =D

Here is a PM I sent to BB regarding his run

Boss 1: Flawless
Boss 2: By hitting any of the birds and taking damage mid air, you can reset your downward velocity, meaning you can get more shots into the boss as opposed to the minions. This is very minimal to you, considering only about 2 bullets missed.
Boss 3: Flawless, the only thing that you could optimize (very minimally, as with 2) is hitting the enemies as opposed to the pillars. I generally jumped between the second and third step, shooting at the far pillar if it would hit, and going into the close one if the bullets wouldn’t.
Boss 4: You can do additional damage to the second part by jumping into the first fellar at his death, as you did. On my best run, I was able to destroy all of his miniorbs at his spawn, as well as do a near instant kill. In my best run, the hearts dropped at the blue chunk above 7’oclock of the background, so this probably saved little more than half a second to a second and a half.
Boss 5: You missed the insta kill on the little spawn on the first one. On an optimal run, you can insta kill him way quicker/safer if you get the final shot on him with the rebound right next to the wall, but there isn’t a lot of control over his movement(or any for that matter)
Boss 6: Near flawless run. I didn’t know if anyone else knew the rebound trick at the beginning besides shan.
Boss 7: On the second and first blob bursts, I believe it is faster to kill the blobs that fall initially to be quicker. The orange eyes were disposed of quick, but being in the center with them when they spawn works better for a faster kill. The orange eyes on the second section lost you time also. On the final form of the boss, you want to be on top of him when he launches the 6 orbs, to get a near insta kill. You got unlucky with the laser being right on top of him that whole time, meaning some of your bullets may not have hit.

The only part of AU’s run that I think could be improved is the minions on the last boss as well, and using the rebound on phase 2 of the 4th boss. Au also got really good timing with the 5th boss, as he killed it’s phases with rebound as soon as it bounced off a wall.
Congrats AU.

I am also resigning from the tournament with beavers.
I will be providing a video as soon as I can, but unfortunately due to me being in the middle of a move, it may not come instantly.
