Namely to see what the credit costs are to advance a spirit from one level to the next.

For a lv1 purple, a white spirit gives 6% exp, a green 11%, and a blue 18%. If this holds for other levels, it means that if you are seeking to level a spirit it is better to not advance up the craft chain.

If a spirit costs 10x to produce it should give 10x the experience, not 2x or 3×. We may discuss that with PlayMage.

We should start tracking how much exp it takes to level the spirits and how much they give in exp.

All my purples are lv 4-5 right now but I do have a spare lv1 purple I could use for data.

Can we just eliminate the whole waiting for a pillar to open before hitting it?

I propose that you can hit any pillar any time and as soon as its time is up you calculate the damage against it and give out prizes/claim. Yes this means that pillars will mostly be overkilled at all times but it still means that your galaxy will need to spread out pillar damage and it allows for more flexibility in how players play.

I’m getting tired of having to be on at certain times and waiting for pillars to open. I’d rather just use AP for pillars whenever I want.

I don’t understand what you’re saying here. Do you like or dislike temporary power spikes?

If no: You still need to time your attack properly and you can only farm that one person once (assuming that person is done within the hour). I think if you catch someone gimped up then you have earned the right to exploit it once.

If yes: Then this option will make farming easier for you, as the player you are hitting will spend more consecutive time gimped up.

I was just sniping a pillar and thinking how nice it would be to offer a pillar “snipe” option. For 4 ap, you directly attack the pillar (no pvp). It would definitely save the time needed to go down to 1 ship and go back up again.

Perhaps call it “storm” the pillar. It would be really nice.

Topic: BloodRealm / Arena: Champions should never lose glory

I think you’re misunderstanding the idea. The weekly tournament would only measure glory gained that week and give rewards for glory gained that week. Your glory gets reset every week, but your champions retain their glory.

If your champion has lots of glory because it’s been fighting a lot, it will face other champions that have been fighting a lot and risk losing. If your champion is strong but has not been fighting a lot you will gain glory quickly but run out of steam as you fight other more experienced champions. There is a possibility of strong champions being left on the sidelines to fight weaker players, but that only happens if they don’t go for glory, and as soon as they do, they leave the weak pool.

I don’t care if the top ranked players stay there. They still need to gain more glory than everyone else in order to get rewards. This is much tougher to do if you’re constantly facing other top ranked players in a 9 round single elimination tournament.

I believe RedPoint said that was the point of the glory system anyway; to make getting more glory more difficult over time. But with all champion’s glory being reset every week I don’t think that it can properly capture the power level of the player populace.

It is my opinion that champions should never lose glory, even between tournaments.

This means that new champions would be more likely to face new champions, and experienced champions would be facing experienced champions.

This means that you can’t just grind arena incessantly. You would have to be more strategic about looking at the leaderboard and timing when to make a big move with your lower level champions. The decision to raise the stakes would also be more of a calculated risk.

This means that to advance your position you would be forced to buy new champions (which is good for RedPoint).

I get that RedPoint is trying to get people to buy into arena participation with stamina potions. Unfortunately it is no different from raids – too much of a Skinner box to be sustainable.

Topic: BloodRealm / Raids Rewards

The problem is that it is a Skinner Box. You should be able to win at least 90% of the raids with high level champions and lower level cards. Last week rank 10 had 5277 raid points. That’s over 500 raids, or 72 raids per day, or about 11 raid bars worth per day. It’s easier and faster to get the necessary energy to do this with levels, and they take less than 2 hours to refill, but seriously people have lives you know.

I’m not playing this game until they get the new Arena in place. That promises to be a much better time value proposition.

I suggested Sealed Deck play in the survey but I didn’t have any ideas to really flesh it out. Here is one possibility:

Sealed Deck 3 Heart Challenge!
You are given a sealed deck of 5 packs (6×5=30 cards, only 18 needed for deck). There are a bunch of nodes and a final boss dungeon and you must get through the dungeon with only 3 life refills. Life refills are used when you run out of life.

Every CCG eventually does this, so let’s discuss ideas for sets, based on the current flavor of the game.

The Frozen North
(As evidenced by the Yetis and glaciers, Redling Berserkers)

Age of Stone
(As evidenced by Axe Weilder, Pan Chieftan, Forest Essence, Magma creatures)

Infernus
(As evidenced by Hellfire Overlord, Lord of Hell, Skeleton evolution trees)

Oriental Empires
(As evidenced by Ninja, Blood Knight, Dragons)

Note that segmenting the game like this has several benefits such as more targeted card acquisition as well as PvP/PvE limited cardpools for tournaments and campaigns.

Just make all tavern heroes level 1 regardless of tavern level. People purposely don’t upgrade the tavern so that they get only level 1 heroes, and once you have played the game a while getting to level 50 becomes so quick that any help from levels in the tavern is pointless. People like to customize their heroes from the start so just let them do that.

Shields could alternatively cancel out opposing weapon bonuses. It would be like null weapon for 1 weapon (it blocks a weapon). That would be more strategic because it would give the monster with a shield a chance to win.

Some shields could block all weapons. Some shields could block elemental stone usage.

Some kind of monster fusion mechanic would be cool. A card that fuses the two monsters you played of the same element, for example.

One more thing I thought of – a card that could capture some triggered ability from the creature you played and copy it when played. Example: I have Ascendant Golem with Shield 75; if I could capture that Shield 75 and play it when I knew I was going to lose a matchup that would be sweet. Sort of like a “Bottle of Monster Essence”.

One strategy against Fiery Sentinel is to use Mountain Golems and Adamant Golems and purposely lose. They will effectively block the attack damage of the Magma Boils, as well as prevent blowback damage. It also stops Fierce Resistance, too. Do NOT take Ascendant Golem (as it will win).

Fiery Elemental is difficult mostly because the Dragons require water creatures with >80 attack to beat.

Topic: Elemental Power / Dungeon Spelunking *spoiler*

You may want to update this information.

- Each chest now costs 15 endurance to open.
- There are two entrances to this cave. The one on the left side of exhibitions starts you in room A. The one on the upper right starts you in room F. Cooldown is now 3.5 hours for the one on the left, 3 hours for the one on the upper right.
- Chest C is tier 1 and is only available if you take the upper right entrance. I don’t bother with it.
- Chest G is tier 3/4. It is way out there if you enter through room A, but I’ve gotten Lava Droplettes so you may consider it worth your while. I only go for it if I start in room F, though.
-Chest H is tier 1-3. I always pick it up just because it is always along the way.
-Chest J, as always, is the goal.

Small but easily fixable bug is that the listed XP gain and gold gain for quests are switched. For example, it will say gain 600 gold and 1200 XP but you will really get 600 XP and 1200 gold.

Not a showstopper, but really confusing.

Good thing I noticed that I already had 2 Venorax from Homeworld before I plunked down the points. (I did a lot of Homeworld tournaments looking for Utopia Beacons when it came out). That’s just 2 more Osprys for me.

I don’t even use my Shapeshifter, and I don’t mind using gold for EQGs.

I got a glitch where World of Heroes froze and forced my computer to recover from a graphics error. It causes me to reload the page. It has happened before several times, always during World of Heroes. I am using IE 9 with a Radeon 6620G graphics card.
