What is CCG?
[edit] also I would like to suggest everything that has already been suggested so when it shows up, I can say “I suggested that.”

the mods....
Why voting? You made them mods all should trust them right? :/ I’m not thrilled with voting but that stems from the admins thinking the mods seem “Ban happy” at times.
That’s why I was suggesting a mod board (which you do have) so you guys could cool off, discuss and possibly overturn a permanent ban. Mods are only human, they can get mad and make mistakes.
Voting seems to undercut a mods authority.
Wow do I dribble on a lot.
blah blah blah blah blah

the mods....
Free hotmails lollerz. It prevents instant access to the site. Pretty much. But it’s worth a shot considering those who raid us are not umm….. How do you say? “As bright as a wet match in a damp cave”. And there’s that, keeps out the dim bulbs.

the mods....
Overall? I’m asking for a “annoucment” for bannings so folks can basiclly stop bitching in chat (and stop yelling at the mod). Also the E-mail idea is too help stop folks who would “raid” us. Dumbed down it would be 125 less folks who join all in one day to harass and lambast and bother us, I see, thank you.
I think the only way you could curb the raid problem is to make a 24 hr waiting period and/or a level 2 restriction on chat rooms.
You could also “verify” email addresses by sending an activation code or link to the given email address.

the mods....
Yay,spammy morons come too disturb my fav chat channel. What does the mod have too do? Play “Ban the moron”Nice neat and clean. Yeah right. Truth be told most mods while they do ban abusive users, ect. There’s allways the inevidable “lulz huuuuuuuuur modz b bad lololol” Normally with the moronic user making fun of the poor person’s name before eventually buying the banstick. There are 2 things we need here. 1) Instead of when someone who mods logs on give them a “Announcement” option Instead of Moron a: lolololol Moron b:kk Username a commenting on something unrelated : Pie is good. Then having the mod say that they are banned or such. instead……
Moderator has banned _, No username and folks see at least the amount of work that goes into it.
2)Change the chat system. How you ask? When you signed up for here you had two things: 1) a love of games. 2)a e-mail account.
What does that have too do with anything? When someone “raids” the site they create new accounts using IP blockers, and fake e-mail addresses. Then if it’s hotmail or some other Ban the email address after a time. My ideas. Post comments. I read this three times. I have no idea what this means, can you dumb it down for me? :)

[FAQ] Making Games. READ FIRST!
alexthagrate79 wrote: I just got a book, Flash Game Programming For Dummies. It’s great, because I am new to Flash. Later in my life I hope to get more into Flash, possibly making it a career choice. I am going to have to check this book out. It seems like a good first step but I’m not sure I want to shell out $800 for Adobe flash. If I’m still interested after reading this book, I’ll check out some less expensive alternatives to dabble in it a bit before I flop down $800 bucks for a passing interest. I’m not looking for a career, it’ll be more like a hobby.

The Topic to remove Tags!
Why don’t you just let us delete tags? Except the ones added by the developer of course.
Lots of reasons why.
One of them is that it’s for moderators. We know what’s appropriate and what’s not. If it’s a public feature, an idiot will remove good tags and add spam tags as a replacement to the game’s tags.
Nu uh, everyone’s nice and nobody lies on the internet.
It’s a silicon nirvana … :D
Do tags serve any real purpose?
I realize that they help you find all games with a certain tag. I think tags are good in theory but some tag’s game list (games with a certain tag) are too large to be an effective game search feature.
It will only get worse, the more games you get and as more tags get posted.
I guess my point is, if it causes more problems than it is worth, why have it.

How would you "clean up" the site?
What if you guys get a mod/admin only board. Where moderators and admins can discuss freely outside the view of regular members.
We already have secret mod forums hosted elsewhere. Whoops, guess it’s not a secret anymore! =o
Heh, :D
Makes sense to have one.

Mods that are too strict can be a problem but once they get experience they should lighten up.

I think mods work better when they are more like your best friend than a cop ready to bonk you with a ban stick.

Hello! I'm the New Director of Games.
I’ve been a member of adult swim’s message board for years and Chris has been great. It is a real shame to loose him but it’s great that he is moving on to better things.
In fact, Chris was the one who pointed me to this site. I imagine there are a few other adult swimmers lurking about.
Thanks Chris, this site is great.
I can’t stop playing “Jelly Blocks”.

How would you "clean up" the site?
Security is a concern for any site. Putting restrictions on new people tends to make a site less inviting. There is no way to really ban anyone because new email addresses are easy to get and IP addresses are not permanent to a particular user.
I’m too new to know all the ins and outs of this site but so far I think it’s great.
The internet is like the wild west and there’s really no way to keep the mean desperadoes out without turning this into a fortress.
Actually a 24 hr wait on the chat rooms or message board would not be bad. I didn’t even look for the board until now and I’m not a big fan of chat rooms anyway.
