Should be a total of 270 to me.

Enemy ops = 74 for 70 points
Pin an enemy = Pinned morce for 30 points
Jump to help a member = 10 points
Level a main base = Did this atleast 10 times for 160 points

On a side note…

Good luck to all those nominated! I shall cast my votes sometime tonight!

Galcy, I don’t know where we stand with alts. As of now, we don’t even put alts on our members list, but I will talk it over with the others.

Doesn’t matter to me either way. This is my main and it is on the list. I am fine with alts not being on the list :)

Adding alts to the list would probably complicate things anyway.

Before I begin…. Many of you only know of me from a war a month or so back. A few of you such as Justin and Athena have known me before the war and can probably vouch for me.

1. Galcyonis
2. 47
3. MR2
4. Empire builder 3.3 bil
5. Few friends in alliance already. Repeated attempts from multiple members to get me to join.
6. Screen shot will be incoming as soon as I can get it to upload.

Edit: Having issues uploading screen shot. Logging now but will try again when I get back
Edit2: Still having issues uploading so here is my base for most part. http://forums.kixeye.com/showthread.php?t=222421 I very slightly modified it tho.

Above is FoA agreement. Which TDK has also agreed too

O.O Galcyonis and GalcyJr are 2 alts of a jumper. To the east of that is gloha who invited Galcyonis to this map to take down my empire… which he did. Athene007 used to be part of that same allience. Please be very very very careful in that neighborhood, that’s my old map, and those guys don’t like to be messed around with.

For the record me and gloha are not the same person we just are friends. Im never hostile without reason i prefer to have friends then enemies. Jr is the only one that jumped in. I was already there and just chained ops there once my good friend called for help. And secondly you wont find my name on any alliance member list. The area is just full of a nice size grp of friends that protect each other.

Lastly as im right in the area i can vouch that chiwawa did flatten ccr. He even told me he was going to the day before he did it. Good job chiwawa :)

Just recently started playing this game and I do like it. When I add ppl on kongregate so i can have them in game it does nothing. For example I just recently added one specifically for this game. I can receive gifts from them and such but I cant send them anything and they dont show to me in game.

Any help would be appreciated

Likely you’ll like red early on. Later you’ll be adding lime, and finally you’ll go to yellow/lime. Orange/Lime for manafarm traps is also something for later. Early on you may not even have much choice in what gems you use since unlocking new types is still an expense. Try out the skills and see what ones you like. Don’t invest in gem types you’re not going to use that round; also, on some levels you may wish to change your skill config in general, don’t be afraid to experiment.

- Red is good when you have little mana to spend, as it gets stronger even without upgrading. Use only one kill gem, so that every shot is boosted by all the kills you made.
- Several posts describe a trick you can use on pylon levels for a massive amount of experience. Use it if you feel the need.
- When you play a level and it’s easy, try replaying with higher modifiers, getting more amulets and maybe summoning a bit by gembombing the wavestones, to increase your experience. +15 waves is usually an easy way to get more time for these; random waves changes little but gives a modifier. If you can keep the monsters from reaching your orb, apply the two modifiers that only apply if they do reach it for easy xp.
- If a level is too hard, try it on armored only. Most players find it a lot easier.
- 1 killgem with 8 amplifiers is the usual setup. At low levels don’t overinvest in building amplifiers too early (if you can upgrade your killgem instead, that’s usually a lot better). Amps should be a few levels under the killgem level.
- Don’t expect to finish the game in a day. Even just completing the main levels takes a while, and getting good scores will keep you busy for a long time.

Hope this helps a bit :).

Great post. I agree with this. Experiment! Especially early on

@Galcyonis, how do you get to 159% here: ‘with premium and 8 amps around 1 tower you gain around 159% bonus to your tower gems.’. What does the % represent and what grades are you using for the amps compared to the tower gem?

Look at my post on previous page. where i went into detail on each amps. increase is just under 159% from no amps to 8 amps. I have not yet tested this with dual or triple gems tho. Been meaning to go more into depth on this topic just havent found the time

Ah yes I see it now. Tho as I feared, that is for a grade 6 cyan with grade 1 cyan as amps. That’s 5 grades difference, not very practical. Also the 159% is without the special it seems, since 52% to 73% isn’t exactly a factor 1.59. When performing such tests, you just have to go practical and you have to take everything into consideration. There are too many stats that are too much interlinked and dependent on other stats, it’s all rather complicated if you would try to really create some general formulas for what is best.

Let’s do a small test then.
I have maxed all skills, including magnify. Other skills are equally involved in both setups, and are therefore not important to be 0 or maxed or whatever.
If we want to compare 9 towers with 1 tower 8 amps, one way would be to use equally graded gems on all spots to keep the costs for producing each of the two setups we compare equal.
Amplification doesn’t take into account how many other amps are amplifying that gem, only how many other towers it is amplifying. Therefore the only interesting setups are: 1 tower 0 amps, and 1 tower 8 amps.

A grade 4 pure poison without any amps:
Damage: 53 – 109
Range: 3.6
Firing speed: 4.8
Special: 57 poison dmg over 5 seconds

Using the above stats, 9 towers with one grade 4 pure poison gem each would give:
Damage: 477 – 981
Range: 3.6
Firing speed: 4.8
Special: 513 poison dmg over 5 seconds
Something very important to notice here is that range and firing speed don’t increase, only damage will be affected.

A grade 4 pure poison with 8 more grade 4 pure poison gems in amps:
Damage: 384 – 789
Range: 7.3
Firing speed: 12.9
Special: 128 poison dmg over 5 seconds

Now compare!
9 towers: For every shot fired, these will produce an average of 729 damage minus 9x monster armor (once per tower). If we take firing speed as shots per second, to make calculations easier, we get (729 – 9 * [armor]) * 4.8 = 3,499.2 – 43.2 * [armor] DPS which the towers can deal anywhere in their small radius of only 3.6. With 0 armor this will deal 3,499 dmg, with 81 armor this will have lost all of its damage (still dealing with averages here!). NOTE: damage reduction by armor goes linear! The special is pretty good at 513 * 4.8 = 2,462.4 direct poison DPS, plus you have 9 towers that divide it over 9 enemies per shot.

1 tower, 8 amps: For every shot fired, this supergem will deal an average of 586.5 damage minus 1x monster armor (theres only one tower shooting). Again firing speed per second, that will give us (586.5 – 1 * [armor]) * 12.9 = 7,565.85 – 12.9 * [armor] DPS which it can deal anywhere in its larger radius of 7.3, which is over twice the radius of the above setup. As you can see this setup deals over twice the raw damage, and is only reduced by armor once instead of 9×. At 0 armor it thus deals 7,565 dmg, at 587 armor it will cease to deal any armor. Her too, it takes 6.5x as much armor to fully reduce the damage. The special is less effective. It’s only dealing 128 * 12.9 = 1,651.2 direct poison DPS, about 2/3rds of what the 9 towers combined give. It also targets only one enemy until it’s dead, unless you turn on random targeting. Still, even if it wasn’t dealing out any poison damage, this setting would still clearly beat the 9 towers setup, and then armor makes the difference even bigger.

When using a different color such as yellow, which directly influences damage, differences are big aswell.
A single grade 4 pure yellow in a tower without amps gave me 66% chance for 2x damage, thus adding an effective multiplier of 1.66 to its DPS. This multiplier is equal for all 9 towers, so in the end their combined dps is multiplied by 1.66.
When you put 8 amps around a single tower and fill them all with grade 4 pure yellow gems, this special is increase to 49% chance to deal 3x damage. The effective multiplier to DPS is then 2.49. That means that, compared to the 9 towers setup, the yellow component increases DPS alot more. Given an equal baseline of 100 DPS these multipliers take that to 166 DPS and 249 DPS. 249 is exactly 50% higher than 166.

This test clearly shows that amplifiers absolutely work. When taking a quick look at how the amplification occurs it may seem to be giving only a very small bonus, but since it is a small bonus on all stats these add up to a rather large bonus.

Next step: What is the minimum amount of amps required to deal more damage than 9 towers can?
First I will be trying this one out while negating the specials, since every special has its own multipliers and will thus have its own ratio. I’m also not taking in account the range, since the effect of a bigger/smaller range entirely depends on the path. Also range is pointless in higher grades, since they can cover the entire map even without amps.
The 9 towers were dealing a combined damage of 3,499.2 – 43.2 * [armor] DPS.
After testing, I found that one tower with 6 amps around it was dealing 3,538.75 – 9.5 * [armor] DPS. At this point the gem then has a higher DPS, and (obviously) it is still much less affected by armor. And this setup only uses 7 tiles and 7 gems, instead of 9 for the first setup!
Comparing the range shows that 9 towers have 3.6 each, this supergem has 5.7 range which is over 50% more.
This all means that in practice it is very likely that 1 tower with 5 amps is already enough to be dealing more damage than 9 towers can.

Duals and triples will be slightly different, but I’m pretty confident that the same results will be gained. Amplifiers definitely do not suck.

still says to me that

AAA
ATA
AAA

Is the best set up

These are called demolitions. You only get 3 per game UNLESS you have premium. then you can get a skill that gives you a max of 13 per lvl.

I too usually keep auto extend on. but there are times when i turn it off. For example once i hit 60 mil max mana thats enough to get my grade 30 gem as well as grade 26 amps. which for this specific lvl is more then efficient.

So here is how it goes once i hit 60 mil mana. turn off auto extend. by this time im raking in so much mana i can easily fill my inventory twice per wave with auto extend off. with in 10-15 waves i am rdy to send the rest of the way. before this point i find myself leaving auto extend on. holding the d key over your duplication gem works wonders. if you find yourself in a position where you have no choice but to have a higher grade gem then turning off auto extend is always an option.

As i said earlier i will be reducing my skill points to be = to a lvl 1000 which should be more viable for everyone to use. I will also be using a few things others pointed out that i missed.

@Snazol summoning is key to completing ANY endurance. Although many ways exist to complete endurance they all have summoning in common. Glad I could help. and as for the grade 7. i started with a grade lyo combined then duplicated to have two grade 2 lyo to combine with. while many will argue this is not optimum it works for me. there are other ways you could do it of course such as starting with g2 l/y instead of lyo. this will make mana component in the triple non existent eventually . but this comes down to preference.

@Sirry Yes i believe i beat my first hardest settings around lvl 500. it was very difficult tho. But as you said higher lvl is always better. The rest i think i answered above.

As said in earlier posts I will be updating this in near future. Prolly be end of the weekend. Takes alot of time to do something like this. Untill then thanks for all the support and suggestions

@Gremlion I anger by what I can afford most of the time. In these situations I was using just about every bit of mana i had on gems to anger with. When u seen go up a grade or two to anger with this was because i could afford it.

Also I upgraded trap kill gem on purpose to start with first. Maybe two waves after before I had my mana farm upgraded.

@ GeneralYouri I can c what you are saying with me having so many skill points. Not everyone is at my lvl. I will try to revise sometime in near future say for lvl 1000 ? Should be about right .

To me the amps aren’t to low. They serve the purpose i intended them for. The only purpose for that tower gem and amps initially is because of the shadow which I can easily take out in seconds ( before it can do any of the nasty stuff it does )

I am not using YLO for all my gems but normally I do. And most of the time I convert my tower gem to the trap kill gem and then move it to tower if something gets through. But I wanted to c what red would do so this became impossible.

Yes my yellow was added JUST to get the triple bonus. And I dont agree with your 50/50 strat. all i need is enough lime to hit around 50 targets. anything over 100 to me is just a waste.

I purposely keep my duplication gem just under max mana. By wave 40 if i turn auto extend off i can easily fill my inventory twice in each wave.

Your right. Ppl do summoning in different ways. In my case i can handle much more then what I’m summoning. For my case its what I can afford not what I can handle. Especially early on.

I didn’t take a screen shot of that point. ( I actually logged off shortly after creating this guide as it took me some time to complete and I was tired ) I have one from another map floating around somewhere. I will update this guide sometime in near future and be sure to include that.

@ska5fe Show me where you can complete endurance ( hardest settings ) on any map at lvl 188. Id suggest atleast lvl 800 before attempting hardest settings.

-Duplicate the grade 14 orange duplication gem and combine with mana trap
-Duplicate the grade 14 yellow duplication gem and combine with trap kill gem

Now rather then go into a very very long guide this should cover all the basics so I will just go over a few other things real quick As my total mana rises i will make the duplication cost for my duplication gems higher. for example once i have 1.7 mil total mana i will use the (U) key to make them grade 15 instead of 14. Rinse and repeat. Just keep duplicating and adding to your current gems.

Remember that you can create multiples of a gem to duplicate. For example. If i was to duplicate my grade 14 duplication gem till i had 32 of them in my inventory, I could then combine them to have a grade 19.

For this specific battle I will need a grade 30 gem in my tower and atleast grade 26 gems in my amps surrounding it to send the rest of the waves. ( when you send rest of waves take your trap gems out you will no longer need them )I will be using TRAPS ONLY untill im at that point.

This map has one entrance. If it had more then one I would need my amp gems higher lvl and i would also put my tower gem on random instead of closest to orb. This is so it will shoot at multiple entrance

Using this strat before wave 100 i will be ready to remove my traps and send all remaining waves.

PS. I know that my skill points have no points in red. The decision to use red was a last minute thing and I use ylo only even in my kill gems most of the time.

EDIT1: If you cant handle the kind of summons I was doing then just use lower grade gems. Just make sure you dont over summon or you could end your game early.

Here it shows duplication cost of 876,490 . which is just under my total mana. I Will use these to add to my traps and amps. From this point on I will be using ONLY yellow on my trap kill gem and its amps. ONLY orange on my mana farm and its amps.

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / My Guide to Endurance (hardest settings)

-Start upgrading the amps around your traps to grade 12 using the (U) key
-Place 4 more shrines where ever you want ( for the amulet ) and 10 towers also for the amulet

Wave 25 has not been send out yet and i now have my traps and all the amps around them grade 12 as well as every amulet for this map other then not letting any monsters reach my orb ( as you dont get that till the end )

Now this next portion is how i upgrade my gems after g12. I create two amps close to where my inventory is. I then create a g12 yellow and g12 orange and place them in those amps. I use the (U) key to keep the cost of duplication just under my total mana ( will give screen shot as soon as i have enough mana to do so ). then i use that gem to duplicate as needed to upgrade my gems from there on out. This next screen shot shows how my duplication cost is just under my total mana.
