Topic: Technical Support / question about kong+

On Monday I renew my subscription to power up rewards pro. My subscription had ended at the end of March, and I did not renew, because I was buying anything or trading anything at gamestop, so I did not want to renew since I was not using it yet. So on Monday I renew the subscription. My question is since I renewed my subscription, when will I expect my congregate account to have kong+ on it again, because it email I had received couple of months ago when I was still a pro member said that I would get kong+ because I was a pro member. So I am wondering when my kongregate account will have kong+ on it again.

If kongregate could work with the developers who create mobile version of the game to be able to create a separate mobile version of the game that works with only kongregate accounts. Like taking the already completed mobile version of the game and change the login only to let kongregate players to use it. Because games like akaneiro (if they do it) and uberstrike may have cross gaming where players on another websites are able to play together using the same server, so why not create a mobile version that uses kongregate account, but kongregate developes that version. Its just that I feel if I had know before that akaneiro was going to have a mobile version of the game and you could not use your kongregate account to login to the mobile version, I would have created an account on spicy horse and started playing the game. I would think the reason why not much people play on kongregate and play on the main developer’s website because of the mobile version of the game, for games like uberstrike and akaneiro. I feel if kongregate could create an kongregate mobile version of the game when the developer’s mobile version comes out, then people would have a choose to stick with their kongregate account, if they already put time and money into the game to continue on instead of creating another account on the developer’s website and starting over again. Think about it developers are coming to kongregate to post their games and get more people to come and play, but when a feature comes out, like mobile version, people would think why did I not just create an account on the developer’s website and play on it.

Akaneiro and Uberstrike use unity. Even if they can not do that, why not give players the option to log in using their kongregate account on these games that also have a mobile version of the game. Its all up to the kongregate with this matter. If they will let developers use this feature of letting the player log in to the mobile version of the game, then more people who start playing a game can play on kongregate and continue playing on the mobile version of the game.

I would think that a good suggestion for kongregate to think about is being able to players to log in to mobile version of games posted on kongregate using their kongregate account. Since developers are developing mobile version of games, like uberstrike and akaneiro, it would be good for players to use their kongregate accounts to play the game on the mobile version of the game. Since players already put time on their character on the game on kongregate and find out they could not log in to the mobile version, it make the player angry because of that problem. Even if they can not log in to the mobile version of the game using their kongregate, if kongregate can work with the developers to create a mobile version of the game for kongregate for players to be able to play the game on the go, if there is a mobile version of the game.

Are these mobile games that kongregate will help fund going to have some kind of kongregate feature in them, like mobile badges and earning power up reward points in them as well, like Escape.

Uh, no, the Kongregate Arcade app has not been removed from Android devices. Where did you get that idea? The app is still downloadable from Google Play Store, and even if it weren’t, they wouldn’t have the authority to forcefully remove an app from users’ devices without permission. “Adobe no longer works for Android” is also patently false, as it still works fine (even on the latest Android version, 4.1.2). The truth is that Adobe stopped supporting Flash on Android, which means no more updates and the app is hidden from Play Store, but that doesn’t suddenly stop a previously working app from working, and it doesn’t mean that the millions of Flash movies, games, animations on the internet suddenly disappeared either.

HTML5 is not a good replacement for games. Whenever people say that, they forget that it only applies to video, not games, not animations. Apple started the whole spat with no Flash on smartphones, because Flash was CPU-hungry. Their preferred replacement is native games from the App Store. HTML5 games would be equally CPU-hungry or worse (no compilation, no h/w acceleration) and less feature-rich than Flash. It’s not the answer.

Even if html5 is not a good replacement, if kongregate can fix up the android app to the point where the app can be able to play mobile game from the mobile website as well as the game from the main website. Game like realm of the mad god, or tyrant or even clash of the dragons. It just would be good to see some good website games come to the mobile app. Application like puffin web browser will let you chat and play games, but it lags and is only point click. With the evolution of mobile phones, kongregate will need to have the android app be able to play the main website games on the mobile phones.

It just would be good to see kongregate do some more updates or upgrades for the kongregate arcade app, maybe be change it from flash to maybe html 5 or have it be able to use adobe air to be able to play the game or have to change to something that can be use by future android devices and os or even have the chat on the app. But they does not seem they will do any upgrades to the android app, which sucks.

Oh okay man sorry about that. I just feel they need to fix up with website or the mobile or even both to get more people on the website. It just that when you look at some of these does like mmo, there are maybe less people on the game on kongregate than on the main website or even facebook. Kongregate is a good website, it just would be good to have more players on the website. Mostly lately the highest number of players I have seen on kongregate is around 50,000 player. It would be good to see it go up to 100,000 players or something like that.

There maybe more things coming out for kongregate mobile, I am not sure. There is still this month and two months left this year, so they could surprise us with something new for kongregate. Also they may need to upgrade the app with something new, since flash is no longer on the google play store, so they may need to fix the app to be able to support air instead of flash. I have not tried kongregate with air on any mobile device yet, don’t have a android or ios device, so not sure about that.

I was reading an old post made by one of the kongregate staff, they said that they were going to do more in mobile and other areas this year. The post was made in may of 2012. So they could surprise us with an update kongregate app or maybe having the main kongregate website be able to be played on mobile phones. I am not sure, just an idea, but I would wait and see what they plan on doing for kongregate.

Kongregate is a good website. There are many different games from single game to mmo games. There are a lot of good single player games and I like how gamestop added the power up rewards feature to kongregate, where you get 250 points when you link power up with your kongregate account and also the badge of the day. Even though its not much, its still something for your power up rewards. There are a few mmo games that are good like, dungeon rampage, uberstrike and maybe tyrant. It just seems the number of players on kongregate is decreasing, it would be good to see more players on the website, maybe 100,000 or 80,000. One feature that was added to kongregate was the kong plus, its an okay feature, it just would be good if the payment was less like 15 or $10/Year. So far kongregate is good and I like coming to the website and play game, just would be good to have more players on the website.

Topic: Tyrant / Suggestions

One thing they should add to the game is a trading feature, where players can trade cards to other players. That would be a good feature. Another suggestion would be to either reduce the warbond cost of the packs or maybe add a few more cards in each pack, to be fair. I don’t know about that idea it is just a suggestion, I just feel like its a bit too much to buy 30 warbonds and I am just going to get one pack. What do you guys think of this suggestion.

I think that they need to make some updates to Kongregate Arcade. Be able to make some changes, so that it can be able to add more games to it and have games like tyrant or other card games or some good games on the android app.

Another suggestion would be if tyrant can also be playable on android. That would be awesome. There are alot of people playing tyrant on the computer, but there could be more players playing the game on mobile device. It would be good if they could add it to the kongregate mobile app. If someone else has suggested it, sorry about that, I just wanted to put this on the suggestion board and see if it would be possible. It would be awesome to play this game on the go.
