Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [EMP Game] Errors & Bugs

I will clear cache next time it happens – error has cleared itself , but did reoccur:

On logging in , the stellar map display showed blank for a time, but at other times did not display after several mins.

The intermittant failure seemed to be curbed on the first downtime you had SINCE the implementation of the reset button% , but has occured once since where there was a 1.5 min delay and one time where I refreshed after waiting 5 min , which then corrected the problem.

Hope thats not too vague and helps !

Mad props to your effort so far. Have been watching. Im a fan of the genre.. many ideas if you want to have the spam too btw.

Good luck!

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Wasteland Empires] Wasteland Kongregate will continue :)

Wow , OK where do I start here?

First, I dont facebook. In my profession they farm and file your online shared activity. No thanks. So I only play the Kongregate version. Second , your facebook version actually has MORE bugs according to a few people Ive talked to now. Third , others here will be cut out as they either refuse to play the facebook version (as mentioned by some above too) that you could have playing your game.

Fourth , revenue stream and programming effort aside , having your game displayed to reach the widest audience should be a priority for you.

Instead of making a blanket decision like this , how about instead concentrating on debugging your facebook version for now , and ONCE you get that sorted , go ahead and update your kongregate version using the same template. The solutions you come to with the facebook version should at least give you ideas on how to solve the issues your having with putting it in the kongregate format.

Anyhow , you have a product here thats fun in its own way , and has a core following in this venue. Its suggestible that many of the players here will not transition to FB and it represents a potential loss of your customer base and player following to proceed thus. IMO you should reconsider at least leaving Kong static for now.

All that said , despite the bugs and frustrations , thanks for the game – it was fun , a novel idea , and though it had elements of the ‘MMO common stencil’ for scavenger hunt type games, I found it worth playing. Good job.

Referring to the post above , one month after the date diplayed (Aug 1944) is Setp 1944… still BEFORE 1945 , which is where MnB takes place? LoL

Topic: General Gaming / Saving Via Kongregate vs Computer

OK so now that weve established that you dont save info in the profile , how about addressing the authors point : Kongregate NEEDS TO HAVE AN OPTION TO SAVE SAID USERDATA TO PROFILES ON KONGREGATE. LoL.. this wouldnt need be hard nor take up alot of space. In fact the space required to retain entire files (like Mud & Blood 2 .Sol files etc) would only be minor if you restricted the option so say holding 4 save files of user choice. IE you dont HAVE to do every game a given person has ever played or even any at all if the user doesnt choose to hold the file (make default no saves and user chooses which ones to enable through favorites with checkboxes or some such).

In this way kongregate would increase the attraction to user profile and community use. Im pretty sure thats one of your mission objectives in maximizing your product, right? ;)

Topic: Off-topic / Rebuild vs. Rebuild 2

Anyone who thinks this game to be lacklustre is in a small minority , as even a cursory glance at the following anticipating the release , previous reviews and active fanbase on the developers site attest.

Its the open endedness of the adventure that is a major draw, Im sure. Myself Im a huge zombie apocalypse fan. The sequel is good, but I would also like to see some additional risk to the scouting mission.
