Yeah, it has been already, but this is something that really would change the game’s feel and give a better experience in terms of community interaction. Social has said that he has been working on this aspect, but is not implementing it yet because he wants to make sure that users do not use the system to duplicate items. So I guess we just wait and see when they finish this.

On another note, I had this idea to maybe add an overkill concept to the game. An overkill would be any killing blow that brought the opponent’s HP to 0, but any left over damage would contribute to a certain percentage of additional experience gained from the victory of that terramon. The percentage of additional experience gain would be directly related the the percentage of additional damage dealt by the killing blow in relation to the total HP pool that terramon has.

So lets say you are fighting a terra with 10/100 HP remaining. You proceed to kill him with a powerful move, which deals 60 points of damage to it. The 10 HP of the opposing terra would be subtracted from the 60 HP that the move dealt, which would result in 50 HP left over after victory is confirmed. Since the opposing terra had a max HP of 100, you divide 100 by the 50 points of overkill damage to get the percent of experience that is added on top of what you normally get for defeating that terra. So you get 66 exp from the defeat normally, but since you had a 50% overkill experience bonus, you get 99 exp instead.

I obviously chose values easy to determine, but still, this could be a very interesting twist in the way you normally finish off an opponent. It’s just a thought.

Allow this thread to pass or not, i would just like to say how active and great the developer is. He actually reads and allows other people’s writings to influence him.

I agree. Though keep in mind that it’s developerS.

But since titan is the only one I see in the forums, I suppose that is why you only praised him. But BlueOmega is in chat a lot of times, so it’s kind of the same thing. But titan not only looking in this forum and responds at, what i believe, to be an impressive scale from anything I have seen any one developer do, but he is active in game comments, the facebook, and the forum on the Terramonsters official website. That is an immense amount of time put into looking at what the community thinks and suggests about the game. And on top of that he works of fixing issues along with the others? That, is what I call dedication. On top of the reasonable treatment of real life currency items, and reason of all subjects I have seen him discuss, just shows even more how he truly cares. (Well to be more accurate, THEY, because I know these things are decided by all members involved.)

So in short this is just my detailed way of saying great job and keep the great work great. (Yeah, I’m sure lots of people that read this will think I’m sucking up, but I really don’t care. This is my way of giving adequate appreciation.)

I agree with what Kacpisz is saying. Despite the fact that the chance of obtaining this item is extremely low, which makes it an overpowered move to to this, it is still a chance. No how small it is, there will be people who obtained the drop on their first battle that meets the requirements to obtain it. This will create imbalance in the game, and even though it is far, because you can’t choose who gets it, there will be people that worked hard for it, and there will be those who didn’t. I don’t think there should be any skills in this drop table that have higher than any other skill that can be learned normally. Instead, give them different benifits, like additional statuses attached to moves, or allowing terra to learn a wider spectrum of moves from different elements. Stuff like that, but still, very small percent rates also contributes to this imbalance, so I don’t think anything should be present under the 5% line to be honest.

All of this is just how I feel about that type of drop table. I feel this way, because I’ve played many games that have them, and often times, people who really worked 10x harder than anyone else, still doesn’t have something that took someone else 10 minutes to do. If you truly want to give the game something very powerful that requires a lot of work, and shows others how much you worked for it, you make all battles give very small amounts of honor (well, not during the first few areas, just later in the game.) and provide items with ridiculously high honor prices. If you give those with terra dollars the ability to buy these items, then imbalance will again become something very pronounced.

Ok, that’s just my view. Take out of it what you want, and I guess I’ll see how this turns out when, and if, it gets implemented.

He has already considered these points, as he has already been discussed earlier in the topic, which you would know if you read the rest of it before saying something that was pretty much already said multiple times. He decided to deny a free alternative to additional ranches, and explained why. His reasoning is valid and realistic, so if you can’t handle managing the 6 slots you have (soon to be 9) then don’t play. I don’t like the way that sounds, but really that’s what it comes down to, because it isn’t going to change for a while as far as I can deduce from what the developer has said so far.

We managed to convince him to already change the limit once, and just that says a lot about how much respect this developer has for the people that play his game. And instead of giving the same amount of respect in return, we ask for more? Good job… _

Wait, so the exp share doesn’t divide the exp by 3 and then distribute it? It just gives the base exp value to all of the terramon in your party??

Well, then your loss… but really, filling your whole ranch with terramon from the first area is a big waste of space, since all of them suck anyways, and even if you took the time to evolve them, they will still suck compared to ones you can obtain later, in exception to maybe tomaling. But since you didn’t give the game any sort of chance whatsoever, oh well. Bye xD

But I do know that if you PM the developer and ask him that you want your account reset, he said he would do it for you.

And this “sometimes” doesn’t ever happen for me so I really have no clue what you are talking about. Either you choose to learn the move, or you don’t, but if there is a preview, that means a choice is required. If there isn’t already 4 filled move slots, the move is learned automatically.

I Chose Ignitler as my fire type and he has enough defense to manage normally. Plus he has an earth element as well as a fire move that makes his speed so high after one use that you’ll never go second again for the rest of the battle, no matter how many times a speed reducing attack is used on you, plus it adds ranged attack on top of that, so I think he is a pretty well rounded terramon. He has a little trouble with wind element opponents, but nothing a few 50-hp-potions can’t solve. I like him o much he is actually a higher level than my starter right now (Wintail.) Good luck though. Hope I helped some.

Yeah I find it odd that this bug happened to begin with, since it is not present on the version of the game on your main site. Must be some interpretation error when putting it on kong. (I really don’t know how the whole thing works, but this is just my guess, and clearly not an educated one.)

Aenarion, I apologize for the misunderstanding. I was incorrectly inferring that you were talking in addition to what other where saying, and in result accepted implied details that you did not say.

If this is what you were really saying the whole time, then maybe this will calm a lot of people who are flared up about this: Greetings, Aishirami! SocialTitans responded to your comment on Terra Monsters: "_Thanks for clearing that up! If the Ranch has 6 slots and that was filled up with monsters you wouldn’t be able to return to your ranch with your starting monsters because the ranch would already be full?

Saying that we are going to increase Ranch size to 9 in the near future._".

That was a reply by the developer to one of my comments. Note that a deadline was not specified, so we just have to be patient and await the release of this update when it does get implemented.

I think I’ve done this before on my computer, but I think it applies to all kong applications. You would have to delete all of the saved data. But there might be a way to look at all of the files saved to your computer and delete certain ones. But I know deleting flash data is doable from the user’s end.

Normally when this happens, it is because you need to decide to learn it and replace something else, or not learn it…

It doesn’t block anything, since all the functions are on that preview pop-up…

My comment really wasn’t targeting you specifically. You at least have some explaination of why you think the way you do, most other’s taking your side do not. But if the developers allowed for maybe 2 more ranches to be unlockable with Honor, what price would be reasonable to you?

Because if it is too cheap, then there would be an issue. With 3 ranches (and the 9 from your starting ranch) it would come to 21 slots. That gives me room for almost all the terramon all the way up to the third main city. I personally would have so much to manage with that many maintaining etc. that I honestly would just loose interest. I’m not talking for anyone else here, but the limiting for me is, yes forcing me to choose, but without being forced I would have spread myself too thin to the point where the quests would be too difficult for my terramon to handle. (Due to less concentrated leveling of my available pets) Then again, I am still fairly early into the game, so I could understand that some of the other players that are a bit further in would have a hard time being forced to choose like that. Still, the ranch capacity is going to be what brings in the most money, which for a new and developing company and game is going to need enough to keep going. At the present I do not think taking those away would provide enough cashflow to sustain the game. And even if you don’t agree with me, the developer looks very adamant in his decision to leave it be. Just be glad they decided to give you 3 more slots to begin with…

I find it amazing how ungrateful people can be and the lack of understanding to the entire picture here. What it comes down to is: If there is no profit, the game will not be worth the time to develop further. I think since this game is only maybe a month old, that asking to add in a free alternative is unreasonable at present. BUT, in the future, i would think there would be enough money coming in from other sources of the the game to allow them. Patience is essential here. This is a new game. I think a lot of the people complaining about this are forgetting that.

Jumkun is saying exactly what I was trying to say. The second cheapest potion is worth it to buy, because it heals more in 1 turn. But if it is used out of battle, it would be better to use the cheapest ones. But I guess this pricing scale is more balanced/ more encouraging the use of higher potions.

I noticed recently that the smallest healing potion that used to cost 10 honor, now costs 15. Why? That makes a potion that heals less than half of the next highest potion now cost half as much. The heal-to-cost ratio is a bit messed up now, just pointing this out…

Yes, I realized this, since I mentioned lighning being the product of atmospheric pressure, but I figured that the distinction of “AIR” and “WIND” was for a reason, as you have now made clear. If the element was AIR, then it would be superior to all, but since it has been consolidated into only WIND, it becomes limited. But still, wind can harm rock. If I were to say that wind merely breaks it down, and not harming it, then I would have to say this occurs for all interactions with every element in existence, because in every reaction, no matter the type, the amount of matter that went in, comes out equal in some form, whatever it has become or has been altered. Law of Conservation of Matter. But I feel that if we strictly base these elemental resistances with science, that we will find some imbalance between them. So for the sake of balance, we must also delve into areas that don’t fully make sense with logic.

Also, making two stages of effectiveness would add more depth to the game, but also add more complications if balance is required. I still think it should be done at some point, just not with the initial revamp. (If a revamp occurs.)

I second this. This would be a great idea, and is definitely something I have never seen done. This would involve the game community more than anything, and let them know they are valued, and at the same time, will be benefiting everyone and allowing the game to be ever changing and interesting.
