It seems perfectly fair to me.

If 90% of people are right handed, then shouldn’t greater consideration be given to them rather than left handed people?

This is really generous of you- I suppose I should give it a shot. :)

When I joined Kongregate back in 2008 I was expecting much. I expected to just come on here from time to time to play some flash games, earn some badges, talk to some people, etc. Little did I know, I would soon become a “on 24/7” member and an active member of the community.

Not in any specific order:
I quickly became an active member of Kongregate’s (old) Art Forum. I created the first graphics design team and taught young and aspiring artists how to become better artists by providing a very constructive and friendly environment in the thread for the team.
I also started up “Signature of the Week” in the Art Forums, a competitive on-going art competition which led to artists working to improve over time to compete with other artists.
I also became a writer for Kongregate Collective Guides , and then soon after became administrator. KCG, although inactive now, now serves as a great database for guides and reviews on Kongregate games.
At one point in time I had all badges. Along the way I made many video guides for youtube instructing users how to get these badges.
Throughout ‘09 and ’10 I spent a lot of time ’patrolling’ the forums, reporting anything that needed to be reported, to assist alumni forum moderator Gevock in moderating the forums.
At the end of 2009 I was voted as Member of the Year for the contributions I made that year, and lost Member of the Year 2010 by a narrow margin.

I was inactive for a good portion of 2011, due to family hardships, but I’ve come back strong and hope to once again become a positive contributor and active member of the Kongregate community. I would love to have K+ as I believe it will enhance my user experience here at Kongregate. :)

Of course, I haven’t been active until recently, so I believe that one of the newer generations is more deserving of this and I wouldn’t be offended if they were chosen over me. But I would absolutely love it if I was chosen to win such an awesome gift. <3

I wear my Kongregate hoodie a lot and have recently been approached by Kongregate-fans at GameStop. They’ll ask me if I go on a lot and what not and I’ll just be like “le sigh I used to. but then I took an arrow in the knee.”. It kinda made me want to come back here and check out how things have been going and such. :)

I see the website has gone through many significant visual re-designs and changes. There’s also apparently a Kongregate Plus account thing where you pay for bonus features. Anything else I miss while I was gone for the past 8-ish months? >_>

Arguably the stupidest thing I’ve heard somebody say in a while.

Anyway- what everyone here is trying to say, dear OP, is that it doesn’t need to be action-packed and have many hours of engaging game-play to constitute as a game. Idle games have gameplay, just very minimal gameplay. You gain progress/xp/gold/ect. for the amount of time you keep the game open, and in many games you’re able to buy certain things, or level up, or whatever the case may be. Idle games are essentially flash games that reward you for doing nothing, for a long time, opposite to most games which reward you for achieving high feats in the game through difficult gameplay and such.

So yes, they do have gameplay. Is it engaging?
No.
In some cases, are idle games just time counters?
Yes.
But they still constitute as games.

Since you have to wait a month for each $15, it wouldn’t even be worth it.

And the consequences of getting caught are too severe to even bother.

Perhaps if you did this on a large scale (Spend $1000, gain $150 with each cycle)
it would make more sense.
But then again, who has $1000 to invest in that?
