Hey guys! I don’t want to read the solutions quite yet, but I’m also rather stuck!

On androids: the instructions are “some number of blue, then same number of red”

What does it mean by that?

At first I assumed it meant if the number of blue is the same as the number of red, pass it through. But my current design passes through red→blue, and the game says I shouldn’t.

I’m confused!

Topic: General Tyrant Discussion / Elements, Kongai or Tyrant ?

Originally posted by xaqqax2:

I’ve heard that there is hackers.

The main problem with elements is flawed PVP. Because it has such varying abilities, like chimera, voodoo doll, and the like, there’s quite a bit of possibilities for communication between two computers. And, seeing as two players can choose to fight each other, you’ve got an added level of communication between them. Sometimes the server gets it’s wires crossed.

There are ways to initiate a game of “cut-throat” (A magic the gathering variant), by using the PVP function properly with three people. Sometimes two opponents will jam themselves into one slot, causing the game to flip rapidly between the two. Sometimes abilities like voodoo doll and fractal won’t work because they simply… don’t.

All of these issues lead to strange repercussions in game, none of which are intentional, none of which are hacking, but all of which have been identified at one time or another of being so. I know this because I am in charge of finding bugs in the game. I have found quite a few, and personally hacked the game to auto-win. The dummy account was banned within the day.

However.

I still prefer tyrant. While elements has much more variety, it lacks the consistency tyrant has. Using tyrant cards, you /can/ make any deck you want. The cards exist, somewhere. (Or so I’m told, I’m still trying to make a counter+heal+regen deck). With elements, you can’t make a deck based entirely around flooding. Not enough synergy exists.

I don’t even consider kongai a card game similar to the two. To be honest, it’s more like an RPG than anything.

Topic: Technical Support / Pane Problems

A bug happened today that caught me as rather strange. When I switched from my chat pane from the achievements pane, the game disappeared.

In fact, all that was left was the little grey rectangular background.

Confused, I refreshed the page. The page opened to the “game” pane, where nothing loaded. The arrows didn’t function, and no info was there. I’m not 100% sure this was the game pane, but I do not wish to double check (I have currently found a random game that auto-loaded to the chat pane and do not wish to navigate away). I quickly clicked on the chat pane, when yet again the game disappeared.

I switched games really quick, saw the pane auto load to the “game” pane like in the last game, and switched to chat again. This time, only the top half of the game itself disappeared, the bottom half replacing it. It was almost like the game had slid upward.

For some inexplicable reason, I believe the different panes are stacking vertically, instead of stacking normally. Whenever I switch panes, one appears below the other on the screen, consequently bumping everything else upward. Now realizing the problem existed, I proceeded to note other strange things going on, having no idea if these were normal or not.

1. All the badge descriptions on the achievement pane loaded at once. I could simply scroll between them.
2. The number of users in the room completely froze, despite the fact that several users were entering and leaving. The user list would update, the count would not.
3. No game statistics would load. Not the description, not the high scores, and not the user levels. This was odd, as my badges would load, including on games where I had some badges but not others.
4. If the chat pane was the first one to open, it would function as normal. However, it is impossible to know which games will open in the chat pane. Games both with and without badges have done so. The solution cannot be to play games that are in my cache, as my cache was recently emptied, and games that open the chat one time never do so again.

The problem is not my connection, I have a little green plug in the upper right. Refreshing solves nothing. I’m going to switch browsers and resume fiddling with this bug to see what other gems I can uncover.

I apologize for this wall of text, I was just trying to be as detailed as possible. I wish you the best of luck in fixing this. I’m having trouble doing the same.

Topic: Battle Dawn / Problems with the tutorial

After the first time I played, I had a pretty good feel for the game and knew what I wanted to do. I had a bunch of friends who were all willing to get together and make an upstart alliance and do really well. We just needed a good spot to start.

Now, it’s pretty easy to pan over the whole world and find a game up the physical camps. We were eventually able to find several suitable locations where we’d all fit. But there was one button I wanted to press before I did anything.

The top 12 alliances button.

It’s really annoying when all four of you wind up smack dab in the middle of the number two alliance. And even if you make peace, there’s no way to expand except to fight someone about 20 gazillion times bigger than you. Please, make the top 12 alliances available to view before you place your castle. Maybe next time I won’t get plowed over two ticks after I lose protection.

Introducing…
The Konglympics!!

A kong wide variation on the winter Olympics with sports including Solo Sacred Seasons, Team Sacred Seasons, Elements, and the judged “sport” Farragomate. Instead of countries sending athletes, however, rooms will. Each room will be allowed to send at most 23 users, or one individual user for each event. Not every room must compete in every event, and you may compete in some events but not others. Sign-ups end this saturday. Optional suggestions, like rooms hosting the event, opening ceremonies, or anything else of the sort are welcome. And volunteers to help with this massive project are also welcome. Additional details about each sport can be seen below.

Topic: Sonny 2 / Why Sonny 2 was an abomination, and why Sonny 3 should not be made

Well here’s what I think is going on:

The ZPCI have a job protecting the people from zombies, and when theirs a cure, they’ll lose money and blah blah blah. People like Roald have been trying to find this cure. Louis the Blind succeeded. You, Sonny, are living proof that zombies can be brought back from the dead. The ZPCI know it and want you dead. Metabills, the enemies from the ship, are Louis’ failed attempt. And that tape has the cure hidden somewhere on it.

Maybe I’m not right, but I’m willing to let Krin write the plot of Sonny, and bear with her. Besides, everyone knows act 2 is the hardest one to make.

Topic: Sonny 2 / Sonny 3 - What we want!

Chance of hit, damage of hit, chance of crit, and damage of crit are all readily available if you’re willing to do the math, and all rather obvious if you simply pay attention to your character.

Although I think controlling my allies would be dumb, knowing their moves would be nice, so I would know what items to give them.

Might I ask what plot you would like for Sonny 3? You bash on how poor Sonny 2’s plot was, so I’m curious.

Topic: Sonny 2 / Sonny 2 Zone 6 and 7

I run a psychological set-up, which seems pretty unpopular from the thread. I also use a basic lightning build, two electric storms for focus regen, three shock therapies for damage, wraith form, traumatize and free will. Fully leveled charged blood and tenacity give you great piercing and about 11,000 HP. The build deals a consistent 3000-5000 a turn, depending if you’re a wraith or not, and about level 25 you have all the abilities you need and can save up points for situational abilities. And as an added bonus, you never run into focus problems. It’s gotten me to zone seven twice now, but I can’t say I’ve beaten the doctor just yet.

I argue that psychological might just be best class to use to reach zone 7. At the start, you get terrify and free will. Terrify will heal you because of shadenfreud, free will is a healing move anyway, and you can use dark infusion as your mana regen. It’s hard to beat the first zone, true, but it’ll save you on a respec later. When the time comes to fight the baron, you’ll want fully leveled traumatize. Hit him with one every three moves, and use your free will to stay alive. It’s an easy battle, but if you still have problems, you might respec and take a haunt. I recommend against this, as it’s unnecessary. Once you beat the baron you’re pretty much at the point where you switch builds.

Now you’ll want to put as many points as possible in shock therapy in electrical storm. Take wraith form if you can, but if not, take free will and traumatize again. Design the build correctly and you should consistently hit three times harder than Verdux and Roald. From the baron on it’s really easy until zone 5, so just casually build up your skills, taking charged blood and tenacity when you have nothing else to do. The hydra is really easy too, as his two guardians have a secret weakness to electrical storm, and you can one-hit both of them. Zone 5 will be tough again, but with a little bit of luck, and knowing when to drop a shock therapy and pick up your second traumatize, you should be able to beat it with relative ease, compared to zone 1. And then boom, you can grind again. Plus you’ve got five levels of spare points to use on the retrograde you’ll need for the doc.

My point is, Bio isn’t necessarily the easiest way there, just the most commonly used ;D
