Quick question about ad revenue
Hello everyone,
(I apologize in advance for incorrect sentence structure.)
I have a quick question concerning ad revenue on Kongregate, about how it calculates. I saw a few topics that talk about it though they didnt answer my question. So it’s pretty simple in fact. I have 2 games (more than that actually but those two are easy to compare because they have about the same amount of plays). Game 1, published in june 2011 and game 2, published 1 week ago. Both have a share percentage of 40%. So here is what I see from my report
Game 1
396 views
Gross earnings 1.64$
Net earnings 0.66$
Game 2
430 views
Gross earnings 0.75$
Net earnings 0.30$
Obviously, revenue does not depend exclusively on the number of gameplays. It wouldn’t be that weird if it was for game 2 let’s say net earnings of 0.60$. That I can understand. What is stunning me is that Game 2 has slightly more plays than game 1 but doesn’t even get half the revenue Game 1 generates.
Could someone please demystify this for me?
Cheers
CS
