Sigma o.o And not years later when everyone knows the patterns. Or better yet, any boss on the classic megaman games, that is if you can even make it to him…

Topic: General Gaming / Why don't people like the Armored Core franchise?

Look, they fixed the controls, that’s it. It’s not like they altered the game in it’s entirety to make it so a 4 year old could play it. They saw there was a problem and they fixed it. There’s no reason to hate a game because the devs realized they made a game with demon controls

Yeah I think I understand it a bit but it would be nice to have a bit more clarification. It would be greatly appreciated :)

@phphanes

First things first, would it be wrong to call you an idiot for defending someone who was making idiotic statements by trying to discredit and misquoting what I said about him being a complete idiot? Another thing, they realize that if their quests continue to be unbelievably long and difficult more than likely people wont want to play their game. So what you can change the difficulty. So what if you can fast travel? You also have the choice to NOT do any of the above. And farmville? I dont give a f**k what you say, but the people who play that game are f**king hardcore. I’d love to see you grow virtual corn for over a year, every single day of your life. Now on to the point of dedication. Everyone knows that most game devs can blast through their games that take most people 60+ hours to beat in a few hours. There’s very few games out there that you cant be beaten in such speed. But tell me this: Who the hell goes and pays 70-ish dollars to enjoy one afternoon of a potentially great game? Not too many people. So for the majority of people who dont try to beat skyrim in one afternoon and they relish every single second this game has to offer, yeah i believe that shows proof of their dedication. The relevance of my statement about graphics? It’s clear as f**king day. When it comes to graphics Skyrim is obviously superior. They worked hard to make sure that they could deliver this magnificent world to you in a way where you dont have to use imagination: Because it’s right there before your eyes. So now you can enjoy your game instead of trying to figure out what the f**k this damn dragon should look like in your imagination. Now, casual vs hardcore thing. I dont even give a f**k about it. I just hate when people try to pull that damn card as if someone actually gives a f**k. Whether you’re hardcore or casual you’re still playing skyrim and minecraft, making the people who made the games happy and enjoying your f**king life if you have one. Yay. Now, moving on, yeah these games are comparable to a degree. But only in the fact that they’re both games. Two COMPLETELY different games. It’s like trying to compare cake to burritos. Some people might not like mexican food. Some people might not like sweets. So of course there will be some mock debate about “quality” but only because each party wants to stand up for what they like. Then you have people like me, who love both burritos and cake, who are trying to get people to realize that each one of those things has its’ good side and it’s bad. That they weren’t made to compete with each other but to be enjoyed by those who like it. Okay, so maybe not the best f**king illustration. (And once again I’ve written a short story _) In conclusion, as I said earlier, these are two great games of their kind. It’s hard to really say anything bad about either. But anywayz, have fun chopping this up later phphanes. But you better make it interesting ;)

Runescape is an amazing game. You just don’t know how to play it.

Yeah, if a game isnt good it generally dies very quickly. And that goes double for MMORPG’s. Out of all the games of this type there is no other like Runescape. It isnt a bad game. So what? It may have mediocre graphics. It may not have the most advanced leveling system. But you know what? It’s fun. It’s engaging. And most importantly, millions of people like it. So they must be doing something right, right? ;)

anyone who is willing to put one of these great games above the other is a complete idiot. first of all, they’re two completely different games. Secondly, they both have their strong points and weak points.

@explainthatot: Skyrim is definitely not “shit for casuals.” Only a hardcore gamer would be willing to invest that much time into a game. A “casual gamer” can easily play minecraft whenever they want, play around with it’s mechanics a bit, and stop playing. However, Skyrim takes dedication, and lots of it. And as far as graphics and imagination go, if someone wanted to create great graphics in their imagination they’d read a book.

And another thing about this “casual” vs “hardcore” thing: It isnt the game that makes it “hardcore” or “casual.” It’s simply up to the gamer. I’m a hardcore gamer and it doesnt kill me to play some simple, nosensical game every now and then. And there are casual gamers who’ll play games that appeal mostly to “hardcore” gamers but it takes them longer to finish them due to the fact that they dont play for 70+ hours a day (and yes, I’m aware that’s impossible). But I digress…

Skyrim: epic game. Minecraft: epic game. However, they’re incomparable. Neither one is greater or lesser. They’re different. They weren’t made to compete. Play them. Love them. But seriously, hating on any one of them is stupid…

O.o God I wrote a lot…
