Topic: Game Programming / Migrating from AS2 to AS3

I consider myself as being pretty good at AS2, but it’s 2012, and I really need to get into AS3. My question is, what is the best way for me to migrate from AS2 to AS3? Do I need to get a beginner’s book, or are there any books/courses specific for this?

Will all ActionScript 2.0 projects be rejected? If so, is PlayerIO required?

But.. But AS3 is scary…
I am pretty good at AS2 but I don’t know where to start when learning AS3.

Is it possible to increase/decrease the speed of a sound in flash using Actionscript 2.0? I saw some solutions for as3, but none for as2. Do I have to convert the sound into a byte-array, and then stretch it out? And if so, how do I do that?
