Auto Build Pre-Reqs
There needs to be an option – even a paid feature – that allows a worker to automatically build pre-reqs for an item when they don’t exist.

So if you need 2 cloaks for an apron and you click to build an apron, the worker will automatically makes 2 cloaks first if they are not available.

Bot Prevention
I think that completing these small tests should award a small amount of resources. This way bots stay out and players aren’t so upset at having to complete the tests, as it means a few more resources will be replenished.

Whether one resource is affected, or all, is up to you I suppose.

Topic: Serious Discussion / Vegetarianism: Right or Nonsense?

Right then, if everyone should be selfish I hope you never, ever complain when someone wrongs you in any way. Society expects a level of compassion for others, this is an extension of that compassion. Good luck in life if you choose to be 100% selfish.

Animals die naturally in the wild, it’s part of the life cycle. We now have the power to manipulate that cycle fully. Recently we’ve gained the power to resist killing those animals that we control. I’d argue that shows more willpower and progress than ‘lol meat is tasty yum :)’

RMcD, I don’t see why you reply when you don’t provide any points to back yourself up. You can say life is for enjoyment, I can say it’s for progress, we’ll go nowhere.

X would have died anyway because your mother or father next to you is eating X tonight.
X most likely wouldn’t have been alive if it wasn’t needed to be eaten
X isn’t for living, X is for tasty enjoyment.
X can also be a vegetable, since X dies when you eat it and you don’t it to live.

The animals will stop dying when enough people are vegetarians.
If it isn’t alive it doesn’t feel pain. I’ve never been upset over something never existing, that’s absurd.
Your 3rd point is wholly subjective and replies like that always drag veg threads to the dumps.

It comes down to people wanting to enjoy meat and others wanting something more. One is a selfish choice, one isn’t.

Did people years ago, say 300 years or more have the luxury of being a vegetarian? It seems to me they just wanted to survive and would eat anything to survive.
I think being a vegetarian and a vegan is a luxury of the modern society they hate so much.

You are totally correct. 300 years ago this was not possible. Now it is. I don’t understand the last point about ‘the moden society they hate so much.’ I don’t hate society or people who eat meat.

Eggy, look at your post on the first page.

Humans are animals, deal with it, we kill and eat.

You made it sound like it was necessary.

Nothing dies in the making of the things you mentioned. The issue here is meat, and the space/resources it occupies, and how inefficient it is. Not lollies, chocolate, etc.

Being a vegetarian, and the subsequent jump to it, are logical and totally sensible. X dies when I eat it, I don’t need X to live, therefore I will stop eating it. How could that ever be nonsense? It shows compassion and selflessness.

Nature is not a valid argument, guys. We do a lot of things naturally and have conditioned ourselves otherwise due to morals and other factors. This is along the same line.

It’s not about what a chicken does in it’s day to day life, it’s about ‘needing’ to take a life as opposed to ‘wanting’ to. In our current society meat is no longer necessary. We can get by without it so it becomes a valid choice. The fact that it is more efficient makes this choice become sensible.

I’m a gigantic fan of ska. Check out Bomb the Music Industry . They’re borderline ska, I guess, but fun as hell. And I spent some time this week partying with them.

Anyways, my favourite ska bands are probably the Skatalites, the Slackers and The Planet Smashers.

You could try convincing them that your computer was infected with a virus that allowed an attacker to turn it into a fileserver.

I used to get bandwidth warnings from Cogeco and I’d always claim I had some wacky nonexistent virus and they always apologized, offered advice, and left me alone.
