You are late, Walford, and have been replaced. It would of only took five minutes of time and it took more than two days, practically three.

Anyways, I have to go into work at 6:45 A.M. (6:38 right now), and will not have access to computer software to do the turn until ~6:00 P.M. Expect an update than.

Several things explained -
A New Terrain – As you may notice, there is light green hexagons. These are average Plains/Foot hills, with slight tree coverage.

A New Secondary Feature – As you see on Hyped’s map, there are secondary features to tiles. This red triangle in the ocean means a Prime Fishing spot.

Tile Size – A tile is sized to be a kilometer long. This is for a base measurement for movement (5km/h average walking speed), and sight (Which, for this beta, is going to be 2km over flat ground). Do not complain about inaccuracies such as two kilometer wide beaches.

Object Size – Tiny; Small; Medium
Tiny – Less than three inches long.
Small – Three inches to a foot long.
Sizable – A foot to a yard long.

And a new change – Sight over oceans is now two tiles.



Walfordking

You search around where your standing, but eventually find small sticks and head around in circles looking for more stuff. Your circling around found you going more inland, and finding some plains. It is still cloudy.

Peckish. 4 hours until Hungry
Average. 4 hours until Slightly Thirsty
Well Rested. 2 Hours until Rested

7 Tiny Stones



Hyped

You explore the beach-line and find trash, cans, garbage and wood, just like civilized beaches. You also spot some plains on one side and a nice spot for fishing.

Heading towards where the sun is heading, you travel east in search of drift wood. You eventual hit some green and grassy hills. Doubling back to the coast, you follow it for a short while and start heading east again.

Well Rested. 2 Hours until Rested

There are two islands connected by a tombolo (one island if you want to get technical), and one person is on one side and the other two are on the other side. That is about as much info as I’m giving you about the island.

As for action wise, anything you can think of. “Create a fire there”, ’make a furnace here", “gather rocks”, “explore around the area”, “Walk east until I find a river or anything interesting.” Anything physically possible will be accepted, and multiple if it can fit inside the time constraint. (Two hours)

I want to make a survival game which challenges the people in an half-realistic environment to survive and/or get off an island, but is an over-all fun and entertaining game. I plan to add some variety to the pot of Kongregate Forum Games.

I also plan to it slightly more advanced with FOV rules (more when on hills or looking over over flat area), health conditions and complications, sanity values, and many more fun stuff still in the process, but I thought this would be nice to release a test.

The sand is basically just a beach, you can use it as you see fit. Driftwood gathering, sand collecting, etc. The ocean is, of course, made of salt water.

I am terrible at explaining stuff broadly, so if you have any specific questions about the mechanics I will answer it.
